The hidden garden of the 4th floor. There was a fountain and several tables and seats around it. It was a lovely thing. The beds were comfortable, there was a kettle, TV, desk, bathroom, soap, a packet for showering, good position of light switches, hangers. If you don't mind the stairs, nor the questionable looks of the first and second floor, nor the fact that the key turns only once to lock and unlock - this is a pretty neat place close to good restaurants and the bus stop to go to the Veliko Tarnovo railway and other destinations. To be honest, if i heal my knees (previous problems, not from the stay) - i would come back and make use of the 4th floor to drink tea and snack, or maybe bring dinner to eat there.

I didn't expect so many stairs. To be honest, this is on me, as the booking probably mentioned it didn't have an elevator. My room was on 5th floor. The most shocking was the entrance. It felt shady and questionable. I am not sure if i would have been brave enough to enter if I was alone. Maybe if it had more light - it would be better. The reception is on the second floor and is dim and questionable as well. It starts looking proper from the third floor upwards. Later, i noticed that they tried to make the entrance ancient-themed, which is yellow-gray with darker spots here and there - making it look a bit dirty if you haven't noticed the theme.

The hotel is very conveniently located on the main street, near shops and restaurants and about a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance of Tsaravets Fortress. My room was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Good value for money. Air conditioning was cold, the Wifi was strong in my room and there is a lovely garden patio outside where you can sit with a meal or a drink to relax. My room was at the top of several flights of stairs, which I liked (nice rooftop view out the window) but if you have mobility issues you may want to consider it. Even getting from the street level to the reception desk requires climbing a flight of stairs.

The room was next to the street so traffic noise could be a little loud but it didn't bother me too much. The bathroom was small which is fine, except that when I sat on the toilet the shower curtain would rub up against me, it was so close. Probably nothing they can do about this but it was kind of annoying.

Krema was SO helpful and delightful. Due to a back injury a few day earlier I couldn't carry my luggage on stairs. Not only did they help with that she was prepared to get up very early to help me with the luggage for my early departure. Lovely little room, serene upstairs garden. I also loved having a lamp near the bed for reading (you don't find that everywhere).

Electrical socket near bed needs tightening. I think that some guests pull their electrical devices without taking care - ruining the wall socket.

The staff was excellent, displaying professionalism and remarkable friendliness throughout. I witnessed their assistance to a family with their suitcases, as they mentioned the abundance of stairs in Turnovo. Despite the challenge, their helpfulness left a strong impression on me. Everything in the room was presented beautifully, adding to the overall positive experience.

It's not that I disliked it, but I did feel that the room was a bit small, especially in the bed area. Perhaps it was because the wardrobe was positioned between the beds, which created that impression. However, it wasn't a significant concern for me.

The location could not be more central, the place was clean and comfortable and the staff I spoke to were delightful. The courtyard garden is a lovely touch.

Sadly, Anhea no longer offers any food. The worst thing was the noisy family down my corridor, who kept up a din until late at night. To be fair, I did not complain to the hotel about this, and if I had they might have dealt with it.

I really appreciated the hospitality we received from the receptionist; he was very welcoming, sociable, and people-oriented. He explained everything nicely and answered all our questions, plus he spoke English very well. The location is wonderful, very close to the center; you can walk to the restaurant area, just 4-5 minutes from the Craftsman Street, close to all attractions. The accommodation is very charming and cozy; the room is decent, and for the price paid, it's more than enough.

Location near old town yet also all local buses and shops, handy. Very quiet. We enjoyed our own balcony overlooking tiny garden. Shower was hot and great pressure. Extra bedding provided if needed. Our host kindly got up at 6am to book our taxi . ( thank you!)

Many stairs, but this is common in old town areas, and hilly places. All that exercise meant we could eat more pastries .:)

The staff were exceptional especially the lovely lady who cleaned our room. She was so concerned about my wife’s health (she had a very bad cold/flu) that she bought us some natural cold medicine to help clear the nasal passages which worked really well. The young people on reception were also very helpful and kind. The location was great and so was the room size with a balcony that had a fantastic view. We stayed longer than we’d booked as found it so relaxing and such good value for money. Our room had a fridge and a jug for tea and coffee and herbal remedies. We would definitely return and totally recommend.

The bathroom was quite small but very usable. The stairs to our room from the street entrance were significant but once up there we used the back street entrance with much easier stair access.

I didn't have breakfast. The hotel is an interesting, quirky building with comfortable rooms. The staff were very helpful.

The only problem was the amount of stairs. I had heavy luggage but the staff helped. The day I left the staff member carried all my bags and waited at the roadside with them, for me to pick them up in my car. Excellent service!

The host is very helpful and oriented us quickly. The view is great. The bed and pillows were perfect! The best we have experienced. Plenty of hot water. There was a very good restaurant across the street.

It is a bit small, especially the bathroom. Be prepared to get exercise going up the stairs. In our case we enjoy the exercise.
