The Basecamp resort was very nice, clean and had a lot of space. It had free parking and was right in the center of Canmore. We had a nice stay there. It had a fully eqipped kitchen, which was handy for our stay.

I realize that somethings are just timing but it was unfortunate that the hot tub was not working. I specifically booked because they had a hot tub. I was however given a discount for this. The location is prime in Canmore but it is right beside train tracks so it can be very loud if you have the windows open. The do supply ear plugs for this.

Great rooms, comfy beds, very clean and the staff members were AMAZING!! Easily accessible to/from Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise. They had extra coffee, cleaning supplies, paper towels, and trash bags whenever we needed them. Kitchens had plenty of plates, mugs and glasses, although pots/pans/baking were limited.

We knew about the train ahead of time, so were prepared for that noise and they provided earplugs! However, we were on first floor and people walking/running/bouncing balls upstairs were loud and easily heard in our room. Parking spaces were very narrow for SUV we had rented. Recommended to their team to have floorplans and locations of the rooms more readily available for future booking, as we had one of our family in a wheelchair who couldn't do stairs. Were not aware that the room she should have been in was upstairs (I had asked in advance since we booked 3 condos for our group and knew 2 of the 3 were first floor condos).

A very spacious and comfortable apartment with its own laundry and full kitchen. An easy walk to town and the staff were very helpful and happy to mind our luggage (at lodge next door) until check in offering coffee in upstairs lounge area with a gorgeous fireplace. Ground floor access made luggage easy to manage. Was already aware of adjacent train line and was not bothered by the noise (no toots, just chugs, which was fine).

Our only concern was noisy guests above on one night having a party and sound proofing was not great.

Room was nice, recently renovated and clean. Outdoor hot tub was nice. Price was good. Suite above us had noisy kids stomping up and down the stairs, otherwise fine.

Check in was a bit unorganized. We were suppose to get instructions ahead of time to enter but it never came. Went to the main building front desk and sorted out the issue of ID sent ahead of time was not clear enough for them. They dealt with it efficiently and pleasantly. Railway right beside the hotel so noisy trains rumbling by, but earplugs were supplied so not much of an issue.

The 3 bedroom apartment was really nice and cozy. We like the full kitchen and big dining table for us to have family meals. The bath products are really nice, the beds are comfortable, the hot tub is large and hot, and the tea and coffee included were tasty. It was nice and clean and in a pretty great location!

Our stay was pretty much perfect other than a few things. The kitchen only has one tray and one pan (along with a few pots) so we had to get a little bit creative. We knew there was only 1 parking spot but for 3 bedroom apartment we had to park a couple of cards across the street which was only inconvenient because of how cold it happened to be. We requested a crib, which it says is based on request, which was never confirmed and when I called the day before arrival they told me it was going to be there but said it in a way that made it seem I ought to have known that. In the end, it was a pack and play without a mattress. The baseboards on the main floor were pretty beat up but other than these few minor things it was a great place for a family getaway.

Very clean and updated

We were on the first floor. It would have been better if the platform or pathway from the parking to the room is ramped instead of steps so the luggage is easily transported or wheeled by the guest. The guest has to lift the luggage. Otherwise, the property was stellar. Also, this is the first time payment was deducted from the credit card by booking.com? instead of paying to the hotel. We were supposed to use a different card there.

Good facility

I did not like the appliances not reliable. The washing machine leaked water because the limit switches were not working. This happened on the first day. The water found its way to the below level and some of the electricals were were wet in the kitchen room and so could not be used. This happened on the middle of the night on the first day. The washing machine was not accessable to us during the rest of the stay. The staff on duty was good and attended immediately. But the attitude of the assistant manager was disgusting and would never visit this facility if I find he is still there working. The reason for washing was given as we were supposed to have overloaded. But their staff was present when the leakage took place and they did not find the washing overloaded.

Basecamp resorts were a great place to stay. They had free parking for the larger apartment we booked. They had a fully equipped kitchen with a laundry unit included. Dishwasher cubes and laundry pods were provided and extra were given to us at no extra cost. Check-in and check-out process was seamless and all electronic. Location to all the destinations we wanted to visit was very convenient. We didn't opt in for additional towels or room cleaning but staff were more than happy to provide us towels.

The rooms were too warm for us and we had to open up the windows often. We couldn't adjust the temperature units to having the AC on instead of the heating. A little more sound proofing is needed. Although it is mentioned to all guests that there is a quiet time between 10pm-7am, some do not respect it and neither is it enforced.

Room was clean and spacious. All equipment in good working orders.

The parking lot space was narrow (surprisingly narrow since it is also a lot assigned as handicap parking lot). The car next to us was parked too close, making it difficult for us to get out. We politely asked the occupant to re-park, but he arrogantly refused. To make matters worse, he continued to park the same way for the next three days of our stay, which felt intentional. Since all other spots were full, we couldn’t park anywhere else. It was incredibly frustrating dealing with such an inconsiderate and selfish person.

The resort had everything we needed. A place to gather, cook, sleep, eat, relax. The resort far exceeded my expectations. The layout and amenities were excellent and met our needs. Our friends had a mix up and went back and forth between the lodge and resort and couldn't remember which they had reserved... they reserved the lodge we reserved the resort. They spent all their time with us in our apartment cooking, eating and fellowship. My friends and I loved it. I will be recommending this to my friends who are planning trip late spring next year.
