This location is perfect for walking to all around town to enjoy restaurants, shops and little hikes around the creek. The room has everything you need. It's not fancy but it's clean with a good size fridge, coffee maker and a couple of little seating/table areas. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Since the location is in town, we did have some noise from the street as we were on the ground floor but that is to be expected. We travelled with our dog and it was great to be right next to the creek and trails. It was also a nice bonus that they don't charge extra for pets. We will be back!

From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with the warm and welcoming hospitality of Kyla. While waiting, I overheard her assisting another guest and turned to my partner, saying, "I love seeing people in hospitality who truly show up with such a positive and genuine disposition." She set the tone for a great stay! Our room had been recently renovated—love the modern touch and the fact that there were no carpets! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the cleanliness was spot on—housekeeping didn’t miss a thing. Overall, a fantastic stay with great service and attention to detail. Would absolutely return!

The barn-style bathroom door wasn’t positioned properly, as it tended to roll back slightly, leaving a small opening. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of if you get stage fright. The pub patio below could be a consideration for light sleepers. We slept with the window open and didn’t mind the ambiance—until a loud argument broke out. It wasn’t unexpected, just something to note for those looking for a quieter stay. Overall, a great experience with fantastic service, and we’d definitely return!

We are absolutely excited!! This acommodation is absolutely perfect, cozy and comfortable. The service was amazing and all of the staff were so nice, kind and very helpful! Wi-Fi worked so good. The place is very nice with breathtaking views, near to all of kind shops (Save on foods, Tim Hortons, gift shops, coffee shops, restaurants). The Drake Inn is very dog friendly, we gave deposit 100 CAD and was returned without any problems. Thank you for very nice experience in Canmore! :)

Everything was absolutely perfect!!

Absolutely loved the location! We had a beautiful view of the mountains and the motel was within walking distance of essential shops. Although the building was obviously old, the room was clean and neat. They also provided quite a lot of towels, and extra linens and pillows. There was also a standing fan, but fortunately it was still cool enough in the night that we didn’t need it. The staff were also incredibly nice and helpful. After we had already checked-out, I realized I left my Bose headphones. The staff found it and kept it for safekeeping until I called and arranged a UPS pick-up.

Would have appreciated a microwave in the room. There was a coffee maker, which was enough to boil water with for cup noodles, but a microwave would have been useful to heat up leftovers or food if you packed any.

The Drake Inn is one of the oldest hotels in Canmore and as such some things are a little tired. However, the room was large, clean and had a great view across water and towards the mountains. Locally produced toiletries from Rocky Mountain Soap Company were a bonus and we didn't expect a mini-fridge. The Drake Inn is also centrally located and within easy walking distance of restaurants/bars, etc., if one prefers to go off-site and explore.

Regulating the heating could have been easier.

Great location. Bar noisy and people outside making noise at night. BUT the reception staff were brilliant, obliging, helpful and also got a room upgrade on our second stay later in the week. The first room we had could do with an update but was extremely clean. The secret nd room we had up the stairs had great views on two sides and again very clean. I would come back again.

I won’t say I didn’t like …. But the bar was noisy at times and could hear it and people outside at night. I do understand it’s difficult to please everyone when there’s a bar close to the accommodation.

The view from the room was amazing. The location is on the centre. Everything is within walking distance. The staffs were friendly. They even had carpet on the patio.

It’s an old property. Even though everything was functional, there was tear here and there like on the bathroom door, walls and patio chairs. The lock for patio door wasn’t working so they used a stick inside to keep it locked. It’s off season so I paid way less than what guests pay in summer. The guests in summer may find it not value for money.

Location is the best in Canmore, right downtown. Within very easy walking distance of all the downtown restaurants and shopping. Easy access to hiking trails. The restaurant has great pub food and was busy every night. The hotel staff and restaurant pub staff are very friendly.

The rooms here are a bit rustic, windows and doors are aging. Decor dated. Personally we don't mind that, but don't expect fancy!

Absolutely stellar view from the balcony, we were floored by the beautiful unrestricted view of the mountains. Great central location, we could walk to everything downtown. Room was updated and clean, beds nicely firm.

Would have loved to have an ice machine more central to the hotel instead of having to getting ice from the restaurant. Some noise from the bar/restaurant late at night - but I don't see how this could be avoided.

Location very close to everything in Canmore and our room had a nice view over the river and mountains. The room was a good size and very clean. Nice big windows. The pub on site looked good but we did t try it. We did enjoy our stay.

The exterior of the building is getting run down and needs some attention. When we first saw it, it was raining, we were a bit worried what the actual room would be like but it was nice and as described. The bathroom could do with some updating but it was clean. Steps up to room so be prepared to lift suitcases.
