It was super clean. We were afraid of the shared bathroom, but it was incredibly clean 24/7, both the male and female ones. Also, people seem to be pretty friendly and respectful. The bar in the lobby has cheap beers and live music some times. The location is just amazing!! In the heart of Canmore. We loved it!

The area is pretty pricy, but this was the best deal we could find last minute. Also, because it’s a party hostel, the music on the bar in the lobby can be loud to some people. There were some live bands when we stayed. Besides, our bedroom was just beside the kitchen, so we could hear people there in the middle of the night. Nothing that would make our experience be bad though.

I was initially worried due to the many negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. My room was very clean and well-equipped, with a large TV, microwave, and refrigerator. There were two nightstands, and the charger was conveniently located nearby. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it looked nice and fully functional. The location is excellent, and the view outside the hotel is beautiful!

The soundproofing is indeed not very good — I could hear people talking in the common areas. However, it was only an issue on the first night; the other two nights were quiet. It would be helpful if the hotel could post quiet hours to remind guests.

I enjoyed the cheap price for a private bedroom located in the middle of Canmore. The people I met were nice and the shared bathroom was surprisingly mostly clean whenever I used it. There's even a microwave and a fridge right next to the bed in the room, though there was no table in the room.

As others have stated, the place can be noisy, noise from other rooms and from people walking back and forth travels into the room largely due to the hole under the door, but the night I was there was not a late night noise evening so it was fine for me.

Unbelievable sights of the mountains nestled in the valley!! Winter wonderland in the middle of this quiet small town. Staff were gracious and funny. The bar and pub kitchen onsight was a cool place to mingle with other travelers, all while having other food options across the street. I definitely will come here again.

The overwhelming scent "thing-a-ma-bobs" sitting along the entire hallway outside the rooms. I recommend adding fresh air over that choice of sickly sweet fake cover up smells. Not great for my allergies. No stove or oven to cook own food.

The room was small but met our expectations. During our stay, they were painting, so things were a bit chaotic, but it wasn’t really a problem. Everything went smoothly, and both check-in and check-out were easy. The bathrooms were quite clean, and I loved that they provided Pantene shampoo and other toiletries. Very comfortable. The accommodation is really central—we recommend it!

The price felt a bit high. There were no views from the room.

The hostel is historic but modern, we stayed in a queen bedroom with a shared bathroom and it was so cosy, plenty of space! Abe helped us with anything we needed and the owners were so lovely. A family feel to the hostel!

They were doing renovations while we stayed but they did them so fast and after a few days we had a brand new kitchen, which was great !

Decent kitchen. I didn't see a wine bottle opener (but I also didn't ask). Thankfully there was never really 3 people cooking dinner since there wasn't enough space. Rooms and beds were comfy. The bathrooms smelled great with the air fresheners! Sometimes the hot water ran out late at night, but it was hot in the morning. Towels were comfy. Staff was good. I booked three nights since I had a rental car and when I showed up I was a little frustrated with where I could park my car (included, for free). After speaking with the manager they confirmed that there was a 24/7 lot (for about 6 cars, shared with a couple other establishments) and it was first come first serve. But there was a parking lot 1 minute walk away where you can park for free 8pm-8am. So I parked in that other lot 2 nights (which worked fine since I was there to hike and woke up early). My last night I was able to get a spot in the 24/7 lot. So overall I was satisfied. Downtown Canmore is also nice and I wish I had more time to explore. There's a large grocery store not far away (driving), but there's a decent grocery store just across the street from the hostel which is nice.

The parking situation was a little frustrating at first. I'm fairly certain on Booking.com it says "free parking" at the top (in an icon) and I don't recall seeing the "first come first serve" piece written on the site (perhaps I missed it). After I booked and paid, however, yes those details were listed in the confirmation email (but that wasn't apparently until after I put money down). Again, speaking with the manager made a lot more sense and they were very patient with confirming the parking situation.

The property manager Abby is really kind, friendly and very accommodating. Quick to help with any issues and definitely goes above and beyond. Everytime you see him h3 is cleaning something vigorously. To be honest for the price my expectations were tempered but it is really clean here. Bathrooms are always tidy and clean,for me that's really important and thry are always pristine or next to it.

Lack of laundry facilities but only because the laundromat is a trek.

In the middle of the town pubs & restaurant . As I was travelling by bike the host kindly secured my bicycle for me overnight much appreciated that 👍. The toilets & showers were clean & linen/towels likewise . For me it was a perfect stop over

Private room felt very secure and was nicely laid out with a comfortable bed and all the amenities. Bathroom was very close and only for the private rooms so was never busy and was always clean. Location was excellent and right in the middle of town. A few spots for parking but there is free road parking less than a 5 minute walk away.
