Beautiful home with very comfortable rooms. In addition, the common spaces were very cozy as well. Beautiful fireplace in the living room and the whole place was very inviting. Also very clean. Our hosts were incredible. The breakfasts they provided daily were delicious. Our hosts were so welcoming and went out of their way to make things as comfortable for us as possible. Location is great. We walked into town for dinner and the riverwalk is very close as well. I would highly recommend this b&b. You won’t be disappointed.
Everything was wonderful

Wonderful B&B. Fantastic location within walking distance of downtown Canmore shops and restaurants. Beautiful views abound. Nice spots to sit and relax, both inside and out on balcony. Wonderful innkeepers all around - they served up hearty delicious breakfasts and were flexible with serving times, and offered very helpful advice for navigating Banff which is about 20 minutes away. Stayed in Mountain Room which had comfy king bed and your own bathroom (with plenty of nice products and amenities) which was steps away down the hall. Although not en suite it’s your own private bathroom and you have a key to lock it.
Like many shops and restaurants in the area, it has no air conditioning. We didn’t think it would be a problem given the typical temps in July are only in the 70s. But the area had a heat wave with temps well into the 80s. Although at night it was in the 50s, and despite fans going, the room stayed hot at night because there’s little ventilation from a roof window. So if you’re going in July/August you’ll take a chance with temperatures. Other than that this place is 10/10!

We can wholeheartedly recommend staying at Annie’s home. Annie and his husband were exceptional hosts who provided us with a truly memorable experience in Canmore. The accommodations were very nice, with everything clean and comfortable, making us feel right at home. The breakfasts were superb, featuring high-quality ingredients and freshly prepared dishes. Annie and her husband also offered fantastic tips on local attractions and activities, which enhanced our stay even further. This place is highly recommendable for anyone visiting the area.

Annie and Brian were exceptional hosts being both friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Brian was a great cook and the breakfasts were amazing and different every day. We were in the mountain room. Lovely big comfy bed and although the room was hot the ceiling fan was great. The shampoo, shower gel etc were well known brands and good quality.
The only feedback is that it wasn't clear on BdC that although the bathroom was private, large and well equipped, it isn't ensuite. We were, however, given robes to wear.

Great hosts and fabulous location for walking into town. Canmore itself is very beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and the hosts provided everything you could want……coffee, tea, water, little snacks and a fantastic breakfast. Patio area outside the property was a very nice place to sit with a drink at the end of the day. Would go again in a heartbeat.
It was very warm and we really felt the lack of air conditioning. Fans were provided and were good but the room was too warm for us.

It was just a perfect stay. The house is beautiful, very cozy and homey. It has everything you need. But the most important part of our stay was the hosts Annie and Bryan - they are the kindest people we’ve met in Canada. Every morning we started with an amazingly delicious breakfast and the chat with the owners. They borrowed us the spikes (and even warm socks) as it was snowy and icy during our stay. They gave us many advices on the things to do. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
Everything was perfect.

The lodge was super warm and welcoming. Annie and Brian, the workers, made it feel like this was our own house. We were so comfortable there. They were willing to help us plan our day or answer any questions we had. The breakfast was incredible! The location was perfect and you could walk to downtown easily.

This bed and breakfast was amazing! Annie is a superstar host. The property is warm and charming and a fantastic location to downtown Canmore and other hikes. She and her husband made us breakfast every single morning and it was 10/10. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything, one of the best hotel/B&B experiences we ever had (and we stayed in very nice 5 star resorts as well!). Annie and Brian are incredible hosts, it does feel as you’re staying over with family. The B&B is in a great position, a 6-7 minute walk from Canmore town centre. The living room is amazing, and the rooms (we tried 2 out of 3) are spacious, clean and have everything you need. Every day you are greeted with an excellent cup of coffee/cappuccino/latte and a freshly made breakfast (every day is different, our favourite were the egg Benedict’s and the waffle with cinnamon apple). Canmore is a lovely little town, much quieter than Banff and a great base to explore the area. Ambleside Lodge is THE place to be in Canmore!
Leaving!

A lovely property, very comfortable and spacious with generous accommodation for the sole use of guests, and in a great location near river walks and the town centre facilities - all a short walk away. Good location in a lovely town. Excellent breakfasts ( even when the hosts were called away suddenly, they still provided a lovely buffet alternative). Great hosts.
The third room has a ( private) separate bathroom, all well equipped etc - we probably hadn't realised this on booking. No big deal, but be aware.
