A gorgeous place to stay for a couple of days. Beautifully appointed in a very quiet setting, only 15 minutes from the heart of busy Golden. Doris is an exceptional host, running the whole place with her husband while creating a nice family atmosphere.

Nothing we did not like, but it is good to know that evening meals are not always available and definitely need to be agreed ahead of time. So, planning ahead and having something to eat in town works best (unless you have reserved a cabin with kitchen facilities).

Best place we’ve stayed in BC. This beautiful lodge, crafted by the owners twenty years ago, offers a cozy, cabin-in-the-woods feel, with all the comforts of a hotel room. The lodge is well situated, giving guests a breathtaking view of the mountains, the humble deer as they graze along, and the hummingbirds flitting from the suspended flowers on the balcony. The experience is truly magical, and the hosts were an absolute delight.

We loved our stay at Glenogle. It was in a remote location, in the mountains, very quiet and peaceful, yet a close drive to restaurants, stores and activities. The room was spacious with the most comfortable beds, a little mini fridge and en-suite bathroom. Best sleep we got on our whole trip! We had a little patio door and very much enjoyed the view from out there. Doris, the owner, welcomed us, showed us around -- she and her whole family were just lovely. We cannot recommend this place enough and would choose to come back anytime when in the area!

For us, being city dwellers, it was a real treat to go to the mountains and spend time in nature. We are so grateful for the warm hospitality the owners showed us and felt most welcome. I can't believe how much we slept, the whole experience was truly healing and we highly recommend Glenogle..

Doris was very friendly and welcoming. The cabin was spacious for 4 of us and bedrooms were cosy, dark and quiet at night which was great. We got the best sleep of our roadtrip here! The mountain views were great, we went out at night to take pictures of the stars.

We couldn't seem to get the TV working during our stay.

Quiet location with nice deck for relaxing. Great breakfasts. Beautiful flowers. Clean and good bed.

You should know that you are a bit farther from town and on a gravel road. It was fine for us as we loved being in the mountains and the quiet.

It was immaculately clean and well maintained. Great views. Good toilet and room amenities. Awesome homemade breakfast. Doris and her husband were great hosts. Their grandson was very friendly with our kid and they got along well.

It was a bit away from the town/ highway.

The rooms were very clean. We loved our time here. Doris is an amazing cook and hostess. Her husband is wonderful as well. We were guests in their home. If you want to get into nature this is a perfect spot. Do you remember when people used to sit and talk to each other without the distractions of the internet, television and gaming? You can find this when you stay here. Doris cooked us a fabulous meal of Schnitzel. So good!!! We enjoyed our meal and drinks out on the deck watching the day fade into night. Doris let my partner pick the raspberries in the yard. My partner's mom (who has passed away) and her used to pick berries together. She had the opportunity to relive a cherished memory of her Mom surrounded by the beautiful mountains and wonderful fresh air. At Glenogle you are surrounded by mother nature‘s beauty. You can unplug from the busyness and noise of the Internet and TV and plug into the people around you. Enjoy the serenity and the views! I would highly recommend you come and stay here whenever you are in Golden, BC. We will definitely be back. Until then Doris take care of yourself and your family.

The location is lovely, a little out of town but beautifully quiet alongside the creek. Doris runs the establishment, is very friendly and real. The place has soul unlike the modern corporate properties often found in towns. Her home cooked breakfast is delicious.

The beds were great! The proprietors were welcoming and friendly. The balcony was lovely. You can hear the creek from your room.

It is not in the main area of Golden, but up a mountain a little ways.
