Our entire experience, albeit only 1 night, at the Moffat Inn was very good, from the welcome at reception to our stay in the most comfortable and spacious room. Our room was accessed from the side of the building, a little annexe and we were pleasantly surprised to find a little seating area with chairs, TV, coffee machine and fridge. We climbed a few steps up to the bedroom. The bed, a standard double was so comfortable. A lovely bathroom too, with a hot and fairly powerful shower. The guy at reception the next day was so helpful in organising us a taxi as we checked out. We will certainly be back here when back in Niagara- On-The-Lake.

We liked everything about our stay, no negatives

The hotel and location is great. Right in the historic district (but just off the busiest section), and a short walk to the Shaw Festival Theatre (which was the main purpose of our visit). A wonderful room and good value. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel and our stay was wonderful, and I’d like to give a “10”, however… the light at our room door needed replacing (it wouldn’t turn on) and as a result the closet was very dark, and the washroom sink drained very slowly. I can’t understand how these oversights have become so common nowadays, especially at top-tier hotels. Housecleaning should have a checklist for all these types of items, note them, and management should have them resolved BEFORE guest checkin.

the room was clean and tastefully decorated. I asked about the heating and immediately they sent someone to check it. There was tea in the lobby. The location was perfect as I was attending perfromances at the Shaw Festival and I enjoyed walking near the water and througout the neighbourhood. The front desk people were prompt and pleasant.

There was tea in the lobby. I apprecaited that- it would be nice to have tea bags in the room to make black tea , green and herbal tea.

We loved the room being an outside room. It almost felt like having our own villa or something like it. Also liked the room it was cute but spacious enough that we didn’t feel cramped. The staff were all great as well. It was good to have internet included as even though we were there for a wedding it meant I could catch up on a bit of work.

We loved our stay but the bed was not very comfortable. I had a difficult time sleeping because the bed was very hard and seemed to have lumps or something protruding from it. The air conditioning unit was also not working very well so the room was pretty hot.

Location is Prime - 4 minute walk to Theatres, shops, restaurants, beautiful flower beds and heritage buildings. Parking provided - really convenient to be freed of the car. Masaki Sushi on the premises of Moffat Inn was a happy surprise. So was the Black Sesame Seed Icecream. This very old building (1835) is kept in remarkably good shape. Our room was comfortable, soundproofed and well serviced. The staff were attentive and helpful. To those who gripe about "old", you missed the point.

Nothing. Our first stay in NOL was so good we'll be back - and to The Moffat Inn, specifically.

Location was fantastic for shopping, Shaw festival, Fort George, the golf course and of course the winery tours. It was nice to have someone at the front desk continuously, available for assistance and answering questions. All front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful.

The air conditioning system in room 126 on the main floor should be looked at. The air conditioner never cooled as much as it should have. As well the humidity in the room after morning showers seemed to stay in the room all day, it tended to feel damp.

The location was fantastic and plenty of private parking. I loved being across from the pretty park and walking distance to the waterfront and a lovely church cemetery. The room on the first floor was comfortable with lots of windows, a terrace and a sitting area with sofa to relax instead of being confined to a bed. The decor was charming too. It was a perfect spot to explore the historic downtown by foot. The staff was helpful and even gave me the same room on my second pass through during my trip. Will definately stay again on my next visit.

The entry and check in area is very run down. It concerned me on arrival that the rooms would also be in that condition. Luckily the room was fantastic. Even just replacing the carpet and a few worn out chairs in the common space would make a huge difference in first impressions.

I requested a late checkout when booking because I was in the marathon and wouldn't be back to room until 11am. This was important in the making of the booking. I actually spoke with someone there to confirm. And of course I arrive and they can't accommodate and have no record of my request. They eventually gave me a half hour to shower and get my things. All this and when we arrived at 2pm our room wasn't ready until 4pm. I was promised a text when it was ready but never received one. It all sounds worse than it was. Im not upset as I have come to expect this in this industry almost every trip.

The convenience to the shops, restaurants, and wineries make this place ideal to stay in a cozy bedroom.

Our room was on the second floor which was a bit challenging with carrying our luggage but it was a very comfortable unit with skylight and sitting area to enjoy TV and fireplace. We would prefer a place without the skylight because it makes the room very bright

Nice location easy walking distance to Shaw Festival Theater, especially liked having the park across the street. Made for quiet evening.

The website did say there wasn't an elevator but I wasn't prepared for how steep the stairs were, It would be nice to have some assistance in getting luggage upstairs,
