The Old Bank House was a very nice property near the Main Street. We found is very comfortable and casual. They provide water and coffee all day and evening and a communal refrigerator for leftovers with option for microwave use. The breakfast was varied and good and the rooms for breakfast were great. A few suggestions: provide city maps of town and wineries. Some snacks by the coffee or in the rooms would be nice on arrival. We enjoyed our stay. Not use to stairs, but managed!

The parking was tight at times and not enough spaces for the number of rooms. Parking right across the street available so not a problem.

The location of the Old Bank House is exceptional. The area is very quiet, and access to the park and lake are lovely.

The hot water was elusive - had to run the water in the sink a long time before the hot water appeared, same in the bath/shower. Also, the sink did NOT drain well at all, so running the water to access the hot water resulted in near overflow. The 'french toast' breakfast did not appear to be as advertised. The bread used seemed to be plain 'white wonder bread' and the fruit compote was only one strawberry and a few blueberries sprinkled on the plate. Considering we were there at the height of peach season in Niagara, it was disappointing that no peaches were offered at all in the fruit cups.

The breakfast was delicious for both me and my sister. It was also fantastic to be so close to the lake so we could watch the sunset and the sunrise the following morning. Having free parking was also a great "plus" - especially since most of the things we wanted to see/do were within walking distance. Finally, being able to have the flexibility of eating outside in the morning was wonderful!

It was a little rough when some people came back to the house around midnight and were quite noisy. I woke up to the noise and it continued off and on for at least 30 to 45 minutes. (There were some loud door sounds and some loud voices.) It was sad that people didn't consider others, as there had been instructions on the info sheet saying to please try to be as quiet as possible between 10pm and 8am. I'm not sure that The Old Bank House could do anything else to help with this, but that was the most disappointing thing about the stay.

Staff were wonderful. Room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, and we very much enjoyed having it on the front porch with the view of the river.

My wife and I are both in our late seventies and found the stairs challenging. If we were to stay here again, it would have to be on the first floor. We also felt that there should be a safety grab bar in the shower; we managed but had to be exceptionally careful getting in and out of the tub. Finally, I know that this is beyond your control, but the lawn mower in the gorgeous park across the road woke me up much earlier than I would have liked.

From the minute we mean Jean we were very happy with The Old Bank House. Parking was convenient and always available on site. Loved the coffee and tea service right outside our room. The bed and linens were very comfortable and we slept great. We loved sitting on the front porch especially when it was raining. The location to shops and restaurants was very convenient, only a couple of blocks. The town and surrounding neighborhood is very safe and comfortable. Loved being across the park on the lake. There was even an art festival there during our stay and I bought some delicious local honey. The breakfasts were just like home made and the serving staff very efficient, polite and pleasant.

There was nothing to not like about The Old Bank House.

Immaculately clean, and great location across the street from the lake. Host provided a check-in time to match our arrival time; breakfast prepared as requested each morning. Room was spacious and inviting. Bike rental available a short distance away and they deliver if needed.

Parking could have been a bit dicey, although we parked our car the day we arrived and didn’t move it until we left. Seven spots available in the back (one was for a compact car) and there are nine rooms. Fortunately that wasn’t an issue for us. Host did say they would reimburse for any paid street parking that was required, but would be more convenient if had parking for all guests. Not a deal breaker at all.

The breakfast was well organized and the food was excellent. The room was listed as a double room but there was only one bed so not sure what the double referred to. Maybe because there were two of us?

The ability to regulate the room temperature. There was no room temp. control, only the central A/C and all of the vents in our room did not work properly to turn them off. The room was quite cool during our entire stay. Also, the parking with 7 spaces for 9 rooms could be a problem and the very small parking area makes parking quite tricky.

Breakfast was very nice and like the choices and the set up. I was told serving 8 to 10 am first day and staff checked around 9 am to ensure I didn't miss breakfast, I though that was very considerate of your staff. Got the hang of it the next two days 8 to 9

The weather lol but no complaints as my stay was very nice. Your staff even suggested i bring my friend over for tea. So I did as she was keen on seeing what's available to recommend to her visitors. Your staff is wise as she also likes your property and said she would recommend due to location.

We really enjoyed the open concept living room, where we were able to enjoy a charcuterie board and a glass of wine. The hostess was extremely accommodating and professional. The location was beautiful right across the street from the lake. Enjoyed having coffee on the porch overlooking the water and park.!

Although the breakfast was delicious. Having 30 years experience in the bed-and-breakfast industry I thought the portion size for breakfast needed to be increased as well as maybe some fresh baked goods and toast on the side.

This place is absolutely amazing! The house was built in 1817 and the feel of that cannot be explained, only experienced. The rooms are all different and amazing. It truly felt like I was visiting someone's home and not just a bed and breakfast. The downstairs sitting room was one of our favorite times at the end of the day. We would sit with a bottle of wine and talk to other guests doing the same thing. The breakfasts blew me away! They have a private chef come in every morning to cook five different options and it's included in the cost of the room. BLOWN AWAY!!! Melanie was so helpful and even had a bottle of white wine from a local vineyard as a birthday gift to my wife. The view is the best in Niagara on the Lake as it over looks a beautiful park on the lake. If you visit, STAY HERE!
