First impressions were great and the follow-on experience was OUTSTANDING!!! Arrived around 1:am and was exhausted by the drive from Florida! I thought, get to the room so I could sleep. Arrived at Giacomo and the agent was great! Helpful! Warm spirited and very Accommodating! Walking through the door and the architect and design is welcoming, cozy, and flat out calming! Unloaded the car, parked across the street and enjoyed the elevator ride to our room! I was feeling better just being in the hotel. Opened the door to the room and smooth jazz was playing, I noticed the brick pillar in the and turned the corner and saw the fire place! The room decor was not too dark and elegant! It was a huge woosaaaaw moment. After offloading and returning the cart, I sat in the most comfortable overstuffed chair, propt me feet up on the footstool in front of me and just admired the ambiance of the room! Large room, smooth jazz playing, fire place going and the wife had a big smile on her face!! So this was a grand slam in the World Series in the bottom of the ninth!!! I sat in the chair and we talked another hour before taking a shower! We could not stop talking about the front desk experience with Tina, convenient parking…just a short walk across the street, and the elegance of the establishment! That night the cherry on top was the bed! The bed was comfortable and I am very picky about beds because of my back issues. The first night was completely above expectations so you thought everything would be down from there right? Well wrong! Next morning I went down stairs to check out breakfast. One of the first person I saw was the Manager Mr Lenny. I thought he was staying at the hotel on a business trip. He was kind, friendly, and spoke. Then I saw Tina and she was cheerful as ever and told me to check out the good breakfast! I thought the breakfast was nice and had variety. Back to the room! The wife and I came downstairs around 1-ish. At the front desk was Ms Tee and Alyssha

We loved everything! Mr Lenny wrote a welcome letter that was overwhelming! The staff, specifically Ms Tee, Ms Tina, and Ms Alyssha were accommodating the entire week of our stay. The vacation was above awesome!! Niagara Falls was awesome too!! Short walk to the falls and Canada!

A great location for seeing the Falls & Niagara Falls State Park. Easy access to surrounding Canadian & NY state wine & tourist sites. Staff were great, breakfast was above par, bed was very comfortable.

The room was very dark with poor lighting. Claims to be a “green” hotel, but no recycling. Only provided 1 bath towel and washcloth per person. Room cleanliness was not great, clumps of hair in shower and on bathroom floor, stain on white comforter, carpet looked dingy. No room safe for passports.

Great location, only a few blocks walk to the Falls. Beautiful, historic building with modern designed rooms. Clean, spacious.

Water pipes are old and make a lot of noise throughout building that sounds like someone is trying to open the door. Obviously not the fault of the staff. Just a little quirk of the historic building. Water pressure and temperature isn't great but again I attribute this to the age of the plumbing. Unfortunately a fire alarm went off while we were there and we had to descend 6 floors, quickly dressed from a shower with wet hair to stand around and then have to ask if it was ok to go back upstairs when we were then informed it was a false alarm. That could have been handled better. All of the women working the front desk were exceptional, it was just one gentleman that mishandled the alarm.

The staff. The room was amazing. I asked if there were any upgrades available and she offered us room 201 which was a junior fireplace deluxe room for $50 additional per night. We had the best three nights there and loved our room. Clean, dark wood floors in the living room - new carpet in the bedroom and the ambiance was warm and relaxing. I have all good things to say.

The lounge on floor 19 could use a little sprucing up which is where some go up to watch the nightly fireworks.

The staff was very accommodating, really friendly, helpful and kind. The room was huge, clean, comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The location was great, about 30 minutes to the Niagara Falls by foot. There are a few bars and restaurants nearby too. The bed was very comfortable. A refrigerator served for our comfort. Breakfast was nice, hot options (omelet, sausage etc.) as well as self-made gofri and yoghurt. I loved the private parking space.

Wi-fi has no password.

The hotel is lovely our room clean and spacious, continently located walking distance to the falls.

The breakfast, with the exception of the coffee everything else was of poor quality and unappealing. Think the scrambled eggs were made from instant powdered eggs. There was no more batter for the waffles, so I can’t comment. The toaster, after 2 tries never really toasted the bread or bagels. If the hotel is offering breakfast included in noon price, I get the poor quality. I would have preferred to pay for better quality.

The Giacomo provided us with a very comfortable stay while visiting Niagra Falls . Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and our room had a refridgerator which was nice and there was a microwave available to use by the reception desk. The Victorian ambience was charming and the rooftop area to view the Fireworks was also very nice per my sister in law. The location is perfect and the hot breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. We will definately be back. The staff were very helpful , friendly and professional.

Nothing ..everything was great

Location was perfect! We were able to walk everywhere including Canada. Parking was very convenient and safe, we left our car for almost our entire stay. Room was huge with a big closet and giant bathtub. What makes this hotel is the wonderful staff, especially Ms Tee at the front desk. She greeted us every day with her beautiful smile and friendly face and even recommended great places to eat. She along with the breakfast staff and management were great! Breakfast was always hot, filling, delicious, and plentiful. Also coming in at the end of the day to fresh coffee and a sweet treat was awesome! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Room could use a couple of touchups and a more detailed cleaning but definitely not deal breakers.
