We enjoy the location of this property! Easy walking distance to Bell Centre, St. Catharine Street, Central Train Station (we are walkers/hikers) and Mount Royal for the beautiful view of the city/St. Lawrence River The breakfast was delicious and the staff were kind and helpful. It is on street that leads directly to the Lucien-Allier metro station, so can be a bit noisy with people but it's a vibrant city and it's Montreal! We enjoyed our luxury room on the first floor...it was comfortable and colourful. Although it is called a Bed and Breakfast...you do pay for the breakfast (if you choose). A great little gem this B and B!

If we want to be fussy...then the bed/floors are creaky! Part of the charm though. As mentioned there can be street noise but we didn't find it too bothersome. There can be some light peeking through the blinds as the metro station lights are very close (the metro is quiet). So if light bothers you, bring an eye mask

Location was superb—in the downtown area, but on a quiet, tree-lined residential street. There’s a Metro stop very near, and a main boulevard 2 blocks away I’d you want a taxi. Staff were lovely, breakfasts quite nice, in a spacious dining room. We will definitely stay there again. What we especially liked is it he bright decor. The antithesis of corporate hotel rooms! Bonus? On-site parking (there’s a small fee).

There isn’t a 24 hour desk, and the main doors are a bit tricky to lock if you come in after 6 or 7. The back door (most convenient) was impossible to lock so we gave up,and used the front after hours.

It was great being right next door to a Metro station. You don't have to stay in the heart of the city if you are that close to public transportation. And the Metro is reliable and FAST! Our room had all the amenities you could ask for, especially a comfortable bed and a whirlpool tub. Loved everything about our room. It was an old building so the floors creaked and you could hear the neighbors, but it wasn't a big deal for me. I put up with worse in my own home.

This is not a complaint for myself, but I can see other parties having issue with this. At least in our own suite, there was about a one foot drop from the bathroom to the bedroom. Anyone with mobility issues, or more elderly guests, might have a little trouble coming in and out of it. At the end of a very long day of touring the city, it occasionally took a little extra "oomph" with this step.

- The room is absolutely incredible and unique, the decoration and the amenities like the jacuzzi bathtub that sits infront of the fire (which we didn't use) and TV was a novelty and we found it a relaxing space. 502 was on the basement level so we had the whole floor to ourselves and with a microwave and kitchen utensils it meant that we could buy groceries and make food to take out and about with us for lunches. - The staff were excellent and accommodating by storing our luggage before check-in and taking them to our room while we were out. - The location is perfect! Within 20 minute walk to the main centre and 1 minute from a metro station so getting around is very easy!

Wifi was quite spotty, we lost connection quite a bit but it may be better in other rooms above ground! As it was a basement room, it doesn't have much of a view but that doesn't bother us, and in the morning there was some noise above but you can't avoid it and it also didn't prevent us from relaxing.

very convenient for the Metro station. Lots of small friendly touches such as really good coffee making equipment in s communal hall area, fridge and microwave in the room, and really pleasant decor and cozy feel.

I think the instructions around getting to the Auberge using bus from the airport and back could be clearer. It is actually an additional convenience point for the Auberge because it was quite easy and saved expensive taxi rides. I felt the price for the breakfast was a little high but the service was friendly, the omelette was great and it was a good start to the day

The hotel is set in a small street in a building with a few entrances. The suite was big and comfortable it had a lot of room to sit and play and sleep its perfect for a family, but there are stairs so it might be hard with a baby. The bathroom is huge with a great jacuzzi. The room is decorated with much thought in a southern french-spanish style which made the experience even more nice. Just outside the door there was a kitchen with coffee and all the appliances needed. We didn't cook but it was good for fruits and t.a. Location is great just steps from the metro and a 10 min walk to downtown where you can find many shops and restaurants. You can even walk to the old city it only takes 25 min. You can add 16 cad for an all day parking.

The building is a bit old, so we heard the guests on the floor above us walking in the morning and it woke us up. After the first night they didn't clean the room, but after I asked in the next day - they did.

We ate breakfast on two mornings, and both were outstanding. The service was excellent. We, sadly, do not speak French, but the staff spoke very good English. They ordered a taxi for us on the last morning when we had to get to the airport. No problems! The location was only half a block from the Metro. It was about a ten minute walk to the Hop On Hope Off stop, which we enjoyed riding both days. Many restaurants were just a couple of blocks away.

This is just personal. Our room was on the third floor, which meant climbing two sets of circular stairs. This was difficult for us senior citizens. I would definitely go there again, but would ask for a room on a lower level.

The breakfast experience was outstanding! The staff was incredibly kind and always greeted us with warm, genuine smiles, which made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. The quality of the food was excellent -everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The cozy and inviting atmosphere created the perfect setting to start the day positively. Truly a wonderful experience!

Honestly, there’s nothing I didn’t like. It was all incredibly pleasant!

We had a wonderful time at the Auberge les Bons Matins - we attended the PWHL game at the Centre Bell, and were able to walk over and check in after the game, giving us a place to rest while we waited for the garage to empty a bit, before moving our car over to the parking behind the hotel. The hotel is a ~30 minute walk from Old Montreal, and there is a metro station directly across the street, if you don't feel like walking. Breakfast was delicious! Keep in mind, it is NOT included in the price, it's extra (if you book via an external site, the phrasing is a bit confusing on this point, so wanted to mention it.) But it is so worth it. There are two courses, a sweet and then a savory, and there is coffee, tea, hot chocolate, plus self-serve bread, yogurt, and cereal, with add-ins like granola and fruit. The decor is fantastic - it isn't modern, all whites and stainless steel - it has a vibrancy to it. Think colorful tiles, copper accents, and crown moulding. Converting an old building into a B&B but keeping its charm - they did it perfectly.

Absolutely love this B&B and highly recommend it. Steps from subway and Bell centre, gorgeous old brownstone building with fireplaces, large room, and a common kitchen with help yourself coffee tea etc. I will definitely be back.

We had a suite on the top floor and found it quite hot even with minus 20 temps outside and the heat off. Maybe a fan would be nice to add. I'm assuming it would be extremely hot in the summer months, our room didn't appear to have AC.
