Absolutely breathtaking! We stayed in a beautiful villa with a stunning view of the lake. The hotel’s setting was simply gorgeous. Our villa was spacious, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We booked a horseback riding experience and had a wonderful time! Although the guide spoke only Spanish, he was very kind, and the horses were well-trained and gentle. The views from the hills were incredible — highly recommend! Breakfast was also excellent.

The hotel restaurant is quite pricey, even for Costa Rica. There are not many alternatives to dining at the hotel, all the other restaurants in the area are equally pricey. Also, the pool was too cold for us. We only used the hot tub.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Arenal, it is quite breathtaking when you arrive. The pool and Jacuzzi are lovely places to take in the scenery also. Chris, Cesar and Christopher really did look after us, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is made up of several 2 bedroom villas which overlook the lake. We ate in the restaurant on the two of our nights, the meals were really tasty. This hotel comes highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is lovely, though it is a 30 minute drive into La Fortuna.

Absolute paradise. Manicured farm with cows and horses and a spectacular view of the lake. We had three morning rainbows. Magical. Our room was beautiful in Tico style. The bathroom was huge and everything smelled so nice and clean. Daily service kept our room fresh. Marionella, Mary, and Caesar treated us like family and the food was so delicious. My personal favorite was the homemade pasta - homemade and perfecto! We came for our 25th Anniversary and hope to return for our 26th!

The location was beautiful, but very far away from town and activities. The pool and jacuzzi were fabulous after a long day hiking. The staff could not have been better! They were all kind and fabulous. Lots of room between cottages so we really felt like we were alone the whole time. The young woman in the restaurant brought us our food we ordered each night and it the food was fantastic.

When we got there they had taken us out of the honeymoon sweet and put us into a family room because it was closer. Also, the place needs a little TLC and please get rid of the 1980's couches. The rooms would be beautiful with a couple changes.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with an amazing view of the lake and the Tenorio volcano. The nature is beautiful and the garden very well mantained with hummingbirds. The view can be enjoyed from the endless pool. The music at the bar and restaurant is very nice and cocktails are excellent. The breakfast and dinner are also great, slightly overpriced though. The rooms are very nice, good air-conditioning, comfy beds, excellent shower. They are typical hotel rooms though so expect only the basic utensils in the kitchenette such as coffee machine, small fridge and glasses and cups. The location is very good as a starting point for both the Tenorio and Arenal volcano. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The only issue we had is very poor wifi connectivity. Even at the bar area it was not working well. It did seem to get better the last day of our stay, but the quality is quite inconsistent.

The location is a 25-30 minute drive from most tours, but you get to come back to the location, views, surroundings and staff each night. The rooms were lovely, spacious and full of character. The staff cannot do enough for you. Cesar was so helpful in the lead up to the trip and during. We sat out on the balcony of an evening to watch toucans, humming birds and sunsets before the fire flies arrived. The sounds of nature all around were incredible.

For us it was perfect, everything we hoped for and more. We had a car rental which I felt would have been a problem if we didn't. The roads to and from the hotel to La Fortuna turned out to be some of the best in the country. It was an easy commute.

Everything about this stay was great! The staff are all super friendly and helpful and they take pride in operating a beautiful inn. We ate at the restaurant quite a bit and were never disappointed. Also, the horseback tour was one of my family's favorite parts of the whole trip.

If I had one complaint it would be that in our villa the kids rooms were only separated from the master by a door that only locked on the kids side...

This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for relaxation. We woke up early and saw many species of birds with spectacular views of Lake Arenal. Loved the infinity pool and hot tub (although people with kids could be very loud and disruptive of the other guests trying to enjoy the pool). The breakfast was outstanding and there are several cute little bars and restaurants close-by. Our room was very spacious and clean. The hotel bar had some really tasty local craft beer on tap.

Had a lot of issues with wifi signal in our room, which was ok because the whole point of staying in the country was to unplug.

Great breakfast, great pool and the property itself is in amazing location with great views of the lake. The rooms are big and uniqe in their decor. Great views from the balcony. Clean. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We had a great time in the pool and with the snooker table. All in all a great base for exploring the arenal

The restaurant is pricy. Lighting in rooms can be better

I had a great time at Mansion Inn. Their property is in a wonderful location, with a fantastic view on the lake. Each group of guests gets their own little house. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it's really cute, and for a great quality/price. Breakfast was also delicious! I absolutely recommend!!!

Only thing I would say is that their dinner could have a couple more local options.
