Internet was not good at all in the room but I survived :) I paid a $5 surcharge for using my credit card to avoid dispute when the nice lady was surprised I did not have cash. The owner told me on the phone that credit card was not a problem. I offered the $5 so that I could go to my room and lay down as I was very exhausted. Very nice lady. Helpful. Thank you. I appreciate being able to have secure parking as this was very important.

I really enjoyed it. The shower was problematic and could not get it to go from HOT to warm or cold. Not a big problem but made the shower experience a little challenging :) Thanks for a safe and clean and nice home to stay.

The owner was extremely kind and accommodating. she ensured every need was met and she was just very nice. I felt super comfortable with her as a solo female traveler. She made sure I was able to order food before going to bed when I arrived late at night. The room felt very private, the private bathroom was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was simple and delicious, made fresh when I left my room in the morning. 20 minute car ride from the airport (SJO).

This guesthouse is situated in a quiet and safe district 15 minutes drive to San Jose'center. It's a big house with 5 different comfortable rooms. The owner doesn't live there, so this house is for the travellers. There is a large dining room, a lounge, a kitchen with all you need. A small garden with a sofa. Breakfast correct included. The entire house is very clean. A lot of light. All rooms with windows. The beds are very comfortable . Wifi works well everywhere. Usually it's Una who welcomes you. She is very friendly and speaks English, Chinese and Spanish fluently . She answers quickly on WhatsApp. It's really a very pleasant house. We can see the influence of women style. To go by taxi to San Jose, use DiDi or Uber but DiDi is always cheaper. There are 2 big commercial centers close to the guesthouse 4 mn on foot. Plaza Rohrmoser and Plaza major. I preferred Rohrmoser smaller and cheaper. Also you find Claro and bank of CostaRica. Take care, the change at the airport is horrible and the ATM Bac takes a big commission.

The place was nice and clean. The housekeeper was really nice and made good breakfasts in the morning. There was some shopping nearby with restaurants and a grocery store. The neighborhood seemed safe. I was able to get rest and work done during my time there. Also, the wifi was nice and fast for work purposes.

I can't think of anything I didn't like other than the room got a little hot during midday.

It was close to Hospital Mexico. Our host warmly welcomed us and willingly modified her breakfast schedule to accomodate our need. Our car was parked in a secure lot. We were within walkung distance of shops, grocery store and restraunts. We had a mini fridge in the room. Our host made us feel very comfortable using the kitchen, dining area and garden.

It is located on a busy street, although things became quiet as it became later in the evening.

Very nice and helpful host/staff! Comfy bedding and a good shower. Quiet and secure, including secure parking for our rental car for the night.

So that food is not wasted, I would prefer we were asked about what we would be able to eat. An offer of a muffin or something "to go" in the morning would be nice, as we had an early flight so we didn't get to have breakfast on the second day. A luggage rack in each room would be very helpful as well :)

Peaceful location, with one of the best restaurants near, also very clean, and I would say rich neighborhood. The building is gorgeous, big, antique, with a lot of charm and style. Outside garden is amazing. Just is so cozy to be here. With a previous day rain, the temperature inside was just perfect. Host - XIN is amazing, happy and helpful, as the rooms are, very clean. My only criticizm is the position of mine room, behind the laundry, althought I slept very well, no noise at all. XIN prepared me a breakfast for next morning to take out since I was geting out early! Will visit them again, for sure!!

Position of the room, yet, quite good!

I stayed here for one night on a layover in San Jose and it was absolutely delightful. The host is kind and friendly and helpful. The home is cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. The location is walking distance to a small shopping mall with ATM and grocery store. Also, a short ride to the airport. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to San Jose. :)

It's a great place, far away from the downtown crowd. It's clean, well equipped, close to shops and quiet. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. I love the little backyard area.

If you want to be closer to the city center, you need to consider that you'll either walk from there an hour or take a taxi or public transportation.

Xin was the nicest host I have ever met. I arrived 2 hours late due to a delayed flight and my pick up service waited for me at the arrivals and was very nice. My room was quiet and clean and sufficient for one night. I needed to take the bus early (to La Fortuna) and so Xin herself came in early and made me such a lovely breakfast and we had a great conversation. She also gave me useful info about the bus I needed to take. I loved it!
