We loved everything about the place. The apartment was well-appointed with new appliances, fixtures, and linen. The pillows were amazing. The apartment is located right in the middle of everything, but far enough away to stay clear of the noisy crowds. Very quiet at night. There is also a restaurant directly downstairs with great food. Eliška the manager went well out of her way to accommodate our last-minute transportation requests as well as making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The rest of the staff were very helpful and attentive as well. And as other reviews indicate, there is no elevator - but the stairs are perfectly manageable for the average traveler. We would certainly stay here again.

Location was awesome. The building itself is very atmospheric eg beautiful ceilings. So quiet and peaceful but so near everything. The connected restaurant was lovely too. We went out for breakfast but bought lunch things so we could make our own late lunch back at the apartment so the well supplied kitchen was just great. Great for families and saving money. The Charles Bridge is just a few minutes one way, Prague castle another way and on a tram line. All very accessible which is great when you have a 9 year old adventurous with walking but not wanting to overdo it.

I had not quite appreciated how many stairs there would be 😂 and my family didn’t thank me for that after a long day sightseeing. Not really a problem though.

The apartment was just amazing – so much space, and it really felt like we had a 'home' in Prague. The bed was really comfortable and the whole apartment was so well-equipped. It had beautiful original features, including stunning painted ceilings, and was also spotlessly clean. The hosts were friendly and helpful, organising our airport transfers, a lovely boat trip, and providing extra tea bags when we ran low. They also left a little present for my husband on his birthday, which was so thoughtful and very appreciated! The breakfast was varied and big, and my daughter loved that it was delivered in a basket :-) We also ate dinner in the restaurant connected to the hotel on two of our three nights and were really happy with the traditional Czech food and service there too. What I hadn't appreciated from the hotel description (mainly because I didn't know the city well enough) was just how brilliant the location of the apartment is. It is in a beautiful historic square, next to possibly the most gorgeous church I have ever been into – do not miss that! The apartment is a short walk from the castle, and an even shorter walk to Charles Bridge, so we loved going for an evening stroll down there when the crowds had dispersed a bit. There is also a tram stop close by, making it really simple to explore the rest of Prague. Thank you to everyone at Residence u Mecenáše for a wonderful stay - I really hope we'll be back one day!

Honestly I just loved it all!

First— Killer Views from the Patio! Very unique property with lots of history! It’s historical, lots of charm and character, yet has modern amenities (modern bathroom, nice sheets and linen). Great combo! And the property cannot be beaten! It’s in the heart of Mala Strana, you are right in the center of everything. Also, the staff was helpful. Their communication before and during stay made everything smooth. Eva helped arranged a private tour guide, shuttle from train, airport, etc…

There are lots of stairs to navigate (4th floor to apartment-68 steps, but who is counting), and apartment is too old for an elevator. And within the apartment, there are more stairs to navigate as well to get to the two bedrooms. This may not be suitable for those with very little kids. For us it was not an issue, but worth mentioning. Being an old building, it can be unnerving if your imagination runs wild, but it’s not a dislike.

Brilliant location, spacious, clean, excellent facilities generally (bathroom was lovely, kitchen had all the equipment needed), helpful and responsive staff. They booked taxis for us and everyone did what they said they would! Daily replenishment of coffee etc.

Tiny point which didn't affect our stay - only one shower between 6 adults, shower temperature was difficult to manage. I think the shower could do with a thermostat! (But this did not take away from the fact the apartment was fabulous and in a brilliant location!)

The hotel is amazing. First the location: unbeatable. While still in the heart of Prague, by the side of the Castle, it avoids the crowded Old Town, but is still within a walking distance from all the major tourist spots of the city. After you soak in the rooms, fashioned like a tasteful (and extremely clean) medieval inn, you are struck by the view. The staff is also very nice and helpfull (a shout to Eva, Eliška and Jakub - thank you very much for all the help with transportation from the station, the delay in our train, booking the boat tour and on check-out). We were sorry that our time in Prague was so short, so are already planning to come back, stay for a longer period and book the same hotel!

Great place, big rooms with everything needed. It's a beautiful apartment. It's close to many sites, restaurants, the bridge. We could walk to many of the places we visited. Everyone in the hotel was very nice and helpful, we stored our luggage in the reception because we arrived early and it was very convenient. The Check-in and the check-out process was easy and quick, we received recommendations regarding interesting places to visit. The area is very nice, in the center but not too noisy. Felt very comfortable. We'll be happy to come again!

Everything went perfect from the initial communication to the checkout process. The staff was excellent, friendly and extremely helpful. The room was beautiful, clean, and fully stocked. The location is superb, in the center of the old town within easy walking distance of all the major sites and attractions. They even arranged airport pickup and return.

I liked everything about the residence. I can truly say that everything was above our expectations. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in Prague.

We absolutely love this property and have now stayed here on two different trips to Prague (we meant to write a review the first time and forgot). This apartment is absolutely beautiful; all the details, decor and architecture inside are stunning and we loved spending time in the room just admiring it. The view of St. Nicholas church is breathtaking, especially when it’s illuminated at night. The location can’t be beat, either. You’re just minutes from Prague Castle and the Old Town. Nice amenities (we love the breakfast baskets from the restaurant downstairs) and really nice staff, as well! Eliška was so kind!

Nothing negative to say about this gorgeous property in the heart of Prague.

Our apartment was very spacious and clean. The decor was lovely. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, air conditioning. We were on the top floor, with a lot of stairs and no lift, but well worth it when we entered the apartment and it was just as lovely as the pictures.

The location was great. We were within walking distance of shops, restaurants and local sights like The Castle and Charles Bridge. The owners of the apartments also own the restaurant on the ground floor, Restaurace U Mecenase, which you need to try. The food is excellent and great value for money.
