When browsing to find a hotel room for my stay in Prague and came across a "Brewery Hotel", I immediately stopped the search for a Plan B, going for the experience. But the experience really exceeded my expectations. Every member of the hotel staff was very kind and helpful, the room had a nice combination of historic and modern elements to offer a traditional, yet comfortable stay. There were power sockets at the bedside, a spacious clean bathroom. The attached restaurant with breakfast room offered a nice and varied choice and having dinner in the restaurant with the nicely themed beer dishes was equally tasty. Of course, the location is absolutely perfect being in the Old Town, with most touristic places within walking distance.

If I actually have to give a downside, it's that I had to leave after 5 wonderful days.

I stayed at the U - Medvidku hotel in Prague with my two (adult) sons for a short stay of two nights to visit friends in the City. This is a very characterful hotel converted from an old brewery. Because of the brevity of our stay, we wanted to stay in the centre of Prague, in the heart of the old city. To save costs, we also wished to share one large room. With many hotels, this was not possible - almost all had 1 double bed and 1 single bed for three people, which obviously wasn't acceptable in our case. However, this was possible at the U - Medvidku hotel, which has some larger rooms: we were able to share one larger room accommodating a maximum of four people with a double bed and two singles, which was just right. We had a wonderful stay. This hotel is truly excellent. In particular, I would highlight: 1. The cleanliness - both our room and the rest of the hotel are spotlessly clean. 2. The helpfulness - the Reception Desk is manned 24 hours a day by welcoming staff who all speak English. They answered all our questions in a helpful way, and gave us a packed breakfast to take with us when we left at an inordinately early hour to catch an early flight, having first, also, booked a taxi to take us to the airport. 3. The food - our booking included breakfast, which was excellent, with many different food options and good coffee. We also ate in the hotel's restaurant on our first night, when we were served with traditional Czech dishes which was delicious. 4. The location - the hotel is right in the centre of the Old Town in Prague, so we never needed to take a bus to get around, we could walk right out into the centre of the City. For example, we were able to walk from the hotel to the ancient medieval astronomical clock in Prague Old Town, in five minutes. Would I stay there again? - Absolutely. I travelled with my sons but I would also be very happy to go there alone - this hotel is excellent for all visitors, whether in a group or alone.

There is nothing that I didn't like, it was all great.

Very nice hotel, was perfectly located both in the city and near a metro, which connected to the airport shuttlebus. Staff was very polite and spoke excellent english. Room was clean and lovely

Not much, but did really miss a electric kettle so I could make a cup of instant coffee and the breakfast was without plantbased options.

The location was amazing--very easy walking distance to everything I wanted to see and do! The next-door restaurant was also very good, and the people who worked there were helpful. Everyone spoke very good English, as well. I used the spa, and loved it--it was the highlight of my trip! The included breakfast was excellent.

The room (a single) was small which was fine, but there were only two hooks. An additional small shelf (especially near the bed, for charging the phone, etc) and a few more hooks would have been really great. The breakfast was great on the first day (I stayed two nights), but on the second, I needed to leave for the airport fairly early. They offer a "to-go" breakfast if you are leaving, as long as you arrange it with the desk the day before. I asked for a to-go breakfast, was told no problem, and then confirmed it with a second front-desk person later in the day. But when I checked out, there was no breakfast--they didn't make me a bag, which was disappointing.

Location was fantastic, staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful. They were very helpful and moved my parents to the 2nd floor when they realised my father could not take the stairs. It’s the small changes that make the difference.

We were there New Year’s Eve and had plans for long travel New Year’s Day. The idiots setting off firecrackers right out the front all night (not just at midnight) I could have done without, however, this is outside the hotels control and the price you pay for such a great location.

My favorite place to stay in the city. In fact, it's a big part of why I visit Prague so often, because I enjoy my time at this hotel so much. Fantastic staff, always available, friendly and helpful with travel issues. Airport pickups and drop-offs arranged every time, no problems. Help with luggage to upper floors. Meals prepared for early travel. Help with arranging transport or map issues for events around town. Just the BEST every time. Rooms are always quiet, impeccably clean, with comfy beds and modern bathrooms. Food is super great, beer is my favorite in the city, there's a late night bar as well for after hours, and breakfast is fabulous (best in Prague IMO).

Got a great price this trip too, so no complaints. (Prices in town seem to vary with city events, or course).

The hotel is centrally located and you can visit all of the top attractions by foot. We enjoyed the copper bath in our room and the breakfast was good. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We did the beer spa and really enjoyed it.

It was quite noisy sometimes. It’s an old building and everything feels louder, such as footsteps, voices echoing, chairs being moved in the dining room. It didn’t spoil our stay but I’d bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, I did and I mostly slept fine. Beer in the bath tap within the room was not to our liking and was incredibly frothy and difficult to pour, this was not the same in the beer spa which had a better tap and quality of beer.

This is my favorite place to stay in Prague. The staff is just wonderful, every time. They are there 24/7 and always willing to help. They are also kind and understanding with occasional changes. Rooms are clean and quiet, with modern bathrooms. The atmosphere is great, and I love the food at the restaurant. Homemade beer is my favorite in the city as well, for a quality lager. Breakfast is unbeatable, and again, quiet and homey in a clean location. Location is walking distance to everything, but quiet at night.

The only thing I dislike is the price you pay to stay in Prague these days. But honestly, it's comparable to just about everywhere else. I just miss more affordable prices in the days before Covid, as my salary has only gotten worse since then. Otherwise, I come to Prague more often these days, in a large way because this hotel is so nice to stay in.

There was nothing I could fault about this stay in Prague. From booking online, the communication was fantastic, and this continued when we arrived. The location was perfect, the staff were so attentive from the start. The room was beautiful, we also were so amazed at the breakfast options. We're vegetarian so didn't know what to expect because of the Czech specialities being mainly meat based but the options were immense!

We couldn't get a space on the brewery tour in the hotel, this was our only downside but we should have booked in advance if we had thought about it before arriving.

Spacious room and bed. Lots of storing space. Renovated bathroom, good shower pressure. Great breakfast, variety of food and coffee. Lovely staff at reception. Room cleaned daily. The hotel is very old with lovely historic features, e.g., the ceiling. Amazing location very close to all must-see in Prague and also 1 minute away from a new mall with a supermarket if you need any food, toiletries etc.

Old wooden floors and generally an old building means that the noise insulation was not the best. Especially during the weekend when the hotel is busy, some guests can be quite inconsiderate walking and talking loudly in the corridors late at night or early in the morning.
