Centrally located and a good flair of an old building converted to a nice hotel

Suite #503 has a bathtub only with a handheld shower-nozzle ; not possible for a person to stand and shower, but have to kneel or sit , but that is a problem, as the tub-drain is plugged up and does not drain. There is only hot water coming out of the tub and vanity sink; no cold water flowing . There is no parking in the vicinity and one has to rent a valet-parking about 20 minutes walk away for about Euros 35. Per day which adds significantly to the cost of a stay . When we selected the place we had in the “filter” for the booking the me easily to have the breakfast included; that was however at the end not the case and we had to pay extra again for that . I don’t know how that gets ignored when deliberately making it a condition for the selection of a hotel .

Lovely hotel, with large airy room, and large walk-in shower. We had a mini bar and safe and Ritual toiletries. There wa also tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water in the room. Breakfast was basic but ample. Our room had a good view overlooking the square with the revolving Kafla's Head and the hotel is close to both the old town and the new town, but is still reasonably quiet. It is also really close to a shopping mall, handy for provisions, toiletries and food outlets. The tram stop is a couple of minutes walk away, which takes you straight to the castle. The staff were really helpful and allowed us to book in early after an overnight journey to the UK airport. They also booked the taxi back to Prague airport for us. We would definitely stay there again due to its great location.

I was there three different times over a two week period. The location of Hotel Golden Crown was excellent. Right across the street was a small shopping center and also the entry to the Prague Metro. The shopping center had everything you could ask for. I was even able to get a haircut at the Walkin Barber.Also, the Prague Metro is very efficient and, as a senior, it was free. Physically, the location was a few blocks to the river. Our first day we walked all the way to Old Town which was incredibly beautiful. It’s also not far to Wenselas Square which had many dining options. The staff at Golden Crown was impeccable. Every single Front Desk reps we encountered were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. They were the best staff of professionals I have seen in quite some time. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor and we never experienced any street noise. We didn’t have breakfast because we usually went to a coffee shop across the street but we had dinner twice and it was also very good. Lastly, we took advantage of the airport transfer to and from the property. If you are coming in or leaving by air I highly recommend using this service. Milan, the driver, was there when we landed and took our bags to the car. He was excellent. The price for the service was half as much as a taxi would cost. So please, do yourself a favor and take advantage of the airport transfer service.

I am having a hard time thinking of anything that I didn’t like.

Location for sightseeing, shops & restaurants and trams. Stairs was easy to get to room. Shower. Just across Kafka Rotating Head, which makes easy to locate. Working selection of TV channels.

Difficult to move around in room for double room, only one person can walk between bed and wall. No space for luggage. Not clearly marked hotel, which had us walking around in front on arrival for fifteen minutes. Blocked breakage deposit on card is almost half of daily rate. Promised to remove but the funds still only available after seven days. The latter is only mentioned on checkout. No mention of that when booking. The hotel charged for the booking eleven months ahead despite choosing "Pay later".

The staff was very kind and helpful, and the location is well situated in the heart of Prague. I appreciated that luggage could be stored before check-in and after check-out.

The shower and chair in the room need some repairs. The shower sprayed in all directions, and the chair was wobbly.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The room was very spacious and quiet (even facing the square). Was well equipped and comfortable. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was also great. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent location – right across from two shopping malls, near the Franz Kafka rotating statue, with Charles Bridge, Old Town, and shopping streets within a 10-minute walk. Easy public transport access – close to both Green and Yellow Metro Lines. Had Air conditioning, Rituals toiletries, which give a premium feel.

the kettle wasn’t cleaned properly (leftover coffee from previous guest). Breakfast was limited, repetitive, and almost the same on both days when we stayed here. No replenishment of drinking water, no fresh towels provided during the stay. Early checkout at 11am. Rooms were very compact.

Great location. Close to everything. Obliging and friendly staff that were willing to share information and help to make our stay wonderful.

We loved the minimalist decor of the room and the palace which hosts the hotel—very stylish and conveniently located. Our room was pleasantly quiet and the bathroom was elegant and fit for purpose.

The room wasn't quite as spacious as I expected—perfectly fine for London (or Florence) standards, but not nearly as big as a similarly-priced room we had in Vienna just the night before. The bathroom was indeed very stylish, but the shower head would need some attention from the maintenance team.
