Likes- Large room in fact massive , a large shower room, separate bed room the bed was very comfortable , bed could separate into a twin if needed ., TV in living area and the bedroom . Looked out on the internal courtyard , so no street noise . Kettle and coffee etc for making a cuppa , checked the booking and didn't see it mentioned , so a bonus . A breakout room with free coffee was a plus as well . Location - as the hotel didn't have food on sight within less than 500 metres there were three bars and three bakeries for breakfast on the same street there was an Irish Bar ( sports) and a retirement called Maya (upmarket restaurant ). If you walked maximum ten mins from the hotel you were surrounded by more than enough food choices ( Asian food very prevalent, no bad thing ) plus places to get the famous Berlin Kebab , and a large REWE store for supplies I needed in around the store was a gin bar and coffee shops. The S bahn station is 500 metres away . Major sights and the city surrounds within ten to 15 mins walk away as well .

Not a dislike just a comment about what might make it even better , The room could be upgraded even further if a small fridge was added for cold drinks , there was an air blower fan but no air con (as I was told Berlin doesn't have much need for it ) Only one slight moan the auto opening doors on the floor were a little noisy , people arrive at all times as I was close to one I did hear it occasionally, but only a slight moan

This hotel is a true gem in Berlin — we highly recommend it to everyone! The staff were very polite and kind, and we were even allowed to access our room earlier than the official check-in time, which we greatly appreciated after our morning flight to Berlin. The hotel is conveniently located near numerous public transportation stations, and the airport is within 60 minutes. The view from our room was beautiful, featuring a large, blooming chestnut tree. The room was very practical, with multiple seating options and lighting features.

A fridge would be a nice add-on to this room.

Spacious room, very quiet, nice internal courtyard views although we had to shut the window at times because of smokers (illegal in NZ). There is a little common lounge area and a nice workspace area with decks etc. Great bakery cafe a few steps from the front door who spoke English. Popular restaurant across from that too. About 10 ton15mins walk from the market area and Alexandersplatz so very convenient to walk to the major sites. Lots of restaurants and cafes in all directions. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Room seemed recently redecorated, halls a little old and gave no clue to the room. Historic building, attractive courtyard facades.

No aircon, not enough coffee provided (but there is some in the common room). Ni milk provided for a cup of tea, only cream which we dont use for tea (or coffee).No fridge either so cant buy milk. A rug on the floor would be nice Lot of hard surfaces) and a bed duvet covet that covered both halves of the bed rather than two singles (seems to be a European thing which we find extremely weird). But these were minor and we loved our stay here and would recommend to others happily. Suggestion is to add milk or a fridge and a queen duvet bed cover at least as an option as English speaking countries never use two singles in a Queen bed.

The location is unbeatable - close to all the museums and happening places, cafes, bars, you name it. What I particularly appreciated is the kettle and coffee + tea in the room. Need my coffee before I face other humans! Once I got that start, I could head down their break room where they have a coffee machine with Cappuccino, etc. As a smoker, I really enjoyed the quiet courtyard with tables to enjoy my Cappuccino. The room was spotless, good shower and I slept very well in the bed. Beautiful hardwood floors and gorgeous windows with a nice view. Nice and quiet, too.

Really great location with a nicely decorated room and good wifi signal. The lockers were handy for the final day. The room was nice and warm and the windows opened properly for some fresh air when needed which seems to be a rarity these days. It certainly seemed to be much better than other places in the same price bracket so the hotel was good value for money.

Only thing really that would improve the room would be a mini fridge. We also found a bit of a smell coming up through the drains in the shower however it was not bad enough to warrant any real complaints. Cleanliness was good but a few fixtures and fittings were showing their age. I'd recommend bringing a fire stick or similar as the screen casting on the TV didn't work.

Wonderful location- a few minutes from Oranienburger Station (S-Bahn) and a really well connected station to all parts of the city which was incredibly fortunate. It was a great central base in the Mitte district for 2 nights. Some lovely bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The room was lovely- big, clean, modern, lots of light, quiet inner courtyard view. I slept very well and the beds were very comfortable. Lovely big bathroom with a great shower. From my research, it's very good value for Berlin and the location it offers. Facilities in the room are a little basic- no fridge and no nice toiletries. There's a separate 'break' room downstairs if you want to get out of your room and make a coffee, which was nice.

Luggage storage is not free- it's €2 per locker/per use, which I had to use twice as I arrived before the check in time and also on the day I checked out. I'm not a fan of being charged for luggage storage when I'm paying for the hotel room. Staff were nice, but not particularly personable. It's more of a functional hotel with little interaction. Foyer is small and not many places to sit and relax.

Staff: I had great experiences with the staff. Friendly, kind, and helpful. I had a last minute change with my accommodations as well, and it was very easy to handle that. Room: Well maintained; clean; comfortable beds; lovely view into the courtyard, especially when very sunny. Cleaning staff did a great job. Location: Very convenient. Lots of restaurants, cafes, and bakeries around. Very close to tram, S Bahn, and U Bahn stops. Well connected. Breakfast: As a note, because I missed this when I booked, breakfast is served at the Albrechtshof location if you book the buffet breakfast. It's a 13 min walk from this location (the Auguststrasse location). I didn't book breakfast, so it didn't matter in the end, but it could be useful information for someone else. I had a great time during my stay and would recommend this hotel to others visiting Berlin.

Nice room, good heating, comfortable bed. Location is fine. 2 minutes from Orianberger Strasse station, which is 1 stop from Friedrich Strasse station. You can walk to Friedrich Strasse station in 12 minutes. Lots of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. From Friedrich Strasse the train goes to the airport. Helpful staff. There are luggage lockers that you can use to store your luggage after you check out, if your flight is later in the day. €2 per locker.

It’s a shame that there isn’t a restaurant, but there is a small room with tables and chairs, a vending machine and a free coffee machine. Having said that, there are 3 places within 250 metres from the hotel where you can get breakfast. There was also a kettle in the room.

Excellent location in the hip and artsy Mitte area. The S line subway station and tram stop are only steps away. Lots to see within walking distance, and lots of options for restaurants and cafe nearby. I felt so lucky to have stayed at this place for two nights, without doing much research prior to my trip! Staff are friendly and helpful. Love the complimentary coffee and water lounge on the ground floor. The room is surprisingly spacious, with very comfy bed. If I'd visit Berlin again, I'd definitely stay here again!

The room can get quite warm on a hot summer night. Though there was a fan in the room, it was still a bit hot throughout the night. I also didn't know that the room does not come with a fridge.

Great location. You still have to walk a little bit though. Clean rooms. Smelled like fresh cut wood - probably due to furniture. Spacious bathroom. Blockout curtains - helpful to get a good sleep in the morning! Wooden window frames!! Extremely nice and helpful staff.

- room was just a little bit smaller that they are on the picture. I guess I was just unlucky to get smaller room. - in the night you can see the light from the hallway through gap under the door. that was disturbing, I had to close it with my jacket. But these little details did not spoil the whole impression
