A very nice hotel in the center, conveniently located between two major transport hubs (central station and Berliner Tor), giving us a possibility to reach the airport even in the middle of the night by the night bus. The room was quiet, had an additional seating area, enough space to store the luggage, nice bathroom and we were very glad to have an air condition as there were some hot days during our stay. The breakfast was quite good and it's possible to find a lot of nice eating places around the hotel. There is a fridge with drinks and also a bar in the lobby, so no problem to buy something even late in the night.

Everything was fine, we can recommend this place.

Cross the street, quite noisy late pub with lots of people in the street drinking and smoking. Well, begin this central close to pubs and restaurant, cannot expect it to be entirely quiet.

Every thing about the hotel is great. Location, location, location, just a few blocks from the main train station in Hamburg and many of the most important old construction are nearby, on the other side of the station. The hotel is in great shape, very clean, well kept and well appointed,too. We appreciate the free bottle of water that is so needed after a long trip. Our room was pretty large compared to others we have been in Europe. No AC but not needed, just opening the windows is enough. No noises , just a tranquil place. The staff also is great and is, to me , the most important asset this place has. Very welcoming people. I interacted the most with Mario, very nice man who was always ready to help with addresses and info about the city and the area. I am going on a cruise and I had a different hotel on my way back from it but I decided to make another reservation for another room here for I have felt so well that now I think this is best hotel in this area of Hamburg. I also interacted with Ms Pualsen who was also very nice to me

Everything was right

Not bad as a hotel but the neighborhood is horrible. We thought to walk towards the center as its close by, but soon found ourselves surrounded by junkies, prostitutes and all sorts of shady gangster types. On the way to the hotel from the train station we also had to pass through various groups of homeless people seemingly waiting for a meal and picking fights amongst each other. In other words: the hotel only seems suitable for travellers coming in and going out by car with minimal interaction with the surroundings.

Check in was very quick and easy. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very large and spotlessly clean and the breakfast had a big choice. The hotel is about 300 metres easy walking from the Central Rail Station which has direct access to the airport. Checkout was at 12:00 but we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until going for our evening flight. If we visit Hamburg again we will definitely stay at the Best Western St Raphael.

The area was not the best with quite a few drug addicts and homeless but they were never a problem or intimidating.

Good location near the train station. Nice b'fast, but one expected at a 4* hotel.

The interrupted internet service. It was cut off after 4 hours. U had to sign back in after that time period. So if ur out for the day and wonder why ur internet isn't working when u get back, that's it. It's hard to believe in today's society, where nearly every mom and pop hotel around the world can provide uninterrupted internet service, a major multinational business, with over 6 Billion in revenue in 2023, hasn't figured out how to do it. Best Western should be embarrassed. I'm embarrassed for them.

When checking in, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist named Grah. I mentioned that it was my birthday and was offered a free upgrade, a very nice gesture. The room was clean, and had a bluetooth stereo to use, a desk and comfy sofa. The location was good for public transport with 2 train stations, excellent restaurants / bars on Lange Reihe in close proximity.

The mattresses were quite firm and the area (St Georg) can be a little unsafe at night, would be careful walking alone

The room was very nice but maybe a bit small. Breakfast was very good, a lot to choose from. A perfect location, you could walk to the city centre, the main station was a short walk away and a U-bahn station also where a lot of the lines com through.

The only thing that I did not like was the noises of the U-bahn which seem to run under the hotel. If you are someone that goes to sleep late and have a early rise, this is not a real issue but if you spend more time in your room it could be annoying if you pay attention to it.

Absolutely wonderful staff: friendly, helpful, attentive. Excellent room: I stayed in 535. Had a huge, beautiful tree in front with all the colours of the stunning autumn leaves, very comfy bed and pillows, high-pressure shower. Gym: Small but had weights so was perfect for me :). Location: Very close to main train station and bus station.

Location: The area seemed super dodgy :(. Many homeless and mentally unwell people catcalling and staring weirdly. Very dirty street with urine and cigarette butts all over. I did not leave the hotel at night as I was too afraid travelling solo - bit sad as there seemed to be christmas lights in the main town square that I'd have loved to see.

Was staying here for a night during my roadtrip and it was as expected. Nice and cozy room, location very close to the city. But for us the parking situation was important and it was very good. There is parking on the street as well but it felt safe having the car in the hotel courtyard.

Just stayed for a night so have no complaint really. I think i heard a little thumping noise with a certain intervall. Maybe it's a metro line below? Not sure but it was really nothing to be bothered by, and i'm a light sleeper.
