The hostel is very close to the cathedral and main train station, just a minute or two walk away. The staff were friendly on reception, always saying hello in passing. Within the rooms, the mattress was comfy, on the former side but I prefer that. Curtains were complete black out which helped with sleep. Overall, very clean too.

We were placed at the front side of the hostel, overlooking the road. This meant if we kept the windows open at night it would have been too noisy. The windows however did block out a lot of noise but with no air con or fans, it did get hot during the night so it was either be warm and quiet or cool and loud. We did not realise there was a gaming convention on at the time we booked which meant prices for all accommodation was raised, this was the cheaper option and I’m not sure how basic the rooms were could justify the price.

The location is excellent, within walking distance to the main train station, the Cathedral and many restaurants. The staff was simply great!! Extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was adequate and healthy! I loved those little pancakes!! I had a room facing the front street and it got very noisy especially on a Friday night. I asked if it was possible to change to a room facing the other side of the building. Mohammed and the young lady who worked the next shift were wonderful and helpful. I had a much better sleep my last night there. Custom-service was great!

The noise from the street -- which the hotel cannot help!! Make sure you ask for a room facing the back unless you close the windows at night facing the street side. The virtual check-in was a little cumbersome.

The room was very small and simple but at the same time all i want from a hotel is a comfy bed and a shower. This i what you get. Very minimal but good at the same time. Room was a bit small but for a few days that is fine.

Breakfest was not impressive but optional at the same time. I didn't use it but arranging it yourself is also a hassle at the same time.

Brilliant location, helpful staff, good breakfasts

A&O sent an e-mail requesting on-line check-in, either through their web page or their app. I tried both but both failed (e.g. they would not accept a .co.uk e-mail address, etc.) and I wasted a lot of time. It was quite unnecessary as we could check in on arrival without any problem.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had requested a room away from the bigger street so it was nice and quiet. The room was clean. Breakfast was ok for the price.

Things in the room, especially the bathroom, were falling apart a bit. The elevator was so small that I could barely get in with our baby's travel stroller. At breakfast, they put the gluten free bread that I had requested in the same tray with normal bread.

Fantastic location, though that did mean near the bells! Easy to find, simple check in and check out. Warm as well.

Bells, though that's inevitable staying so near the cathedral. Pillows weren't great and would have loved tea-making facilities in the room - there wasn't even a glass in the bedroom.

Excellent location with only few meters to walk to the main train station and the cathedral, right in the centre of the old town, I didn’t use any public transport as I only walked around the old town and visited old churches and admired old buildings, all was in a walking distance. The room was clean and staff was friendly. There are a lot of places to eat around.

There was only bed in the room, it would be good to have a table and a chair.

-A nice breakfast for the price -The hotel staff exceeded expectations in a positive way. -The rooms are clean -At the reception,.Berk who was at reception , was very patient person. he answered my wife's many unnecessary questions with patience and tolerance.

The location was quite close to Cologne Cathedral. The breakfast was sufficient for the price I paid. I liked the pancake making machine. The staff were friendly. Room was small but served my needs as I travelled alone. Bed was comfy.

Nice b&b, clean room, good breakfast. Excelent position just in front of the Cathedral. The only thing I didn t like was that check out time is at 10:00. They advertise on the key pocket " late check out at 14:00 for 10€". I needed the room till 12 but didn t mind to pay 10€ the same as they told me that was the policy. When I went to pay they asked me 12.50€, saying the price on the paper was not referred to late c/o...so strange.. If not.. Change it!!! Apart from this, I will recommend it :)
