Best "included" breakfast ever. I think the reviewers on here are shortchanging this hotel. It was impressive, had to stop myself from drinking the fresh OJ, comes from a machine that squeezes the oranges right in front of you as you press the dispenser. Mini bar in room with 2 beers, 2 waters, Coke & apple juice restocked everyday during stay, also included in standard hotel charge. Location was perfect. Staff were cordial and very efficient.

The bed was OK. The pillowcases were more like a giant pita pocket with the plastic covered pillows constantly falling out. No top sheet, but think that is a Europe thing, 3 different hotels in 3 different cities, all had comforter with an attached sheet. Strange since you need something lightweight with the lack of air conditioning and when they do have air conditioning, it does not really work that well.

This hotel is in a perfect location.you can walk everywhere! The hotel is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is adequate, the beds comfortable and has a good shower. Breakfast was excellent! Plenty of choice.

The location of the Mercure hotel is perfect. 4 mis walk from the station. Thus station then is only 30 mins to the airport. The hotel is just a few mins walk to the Marienplatz, which is tge main focul point of tge city. Close to all tge great bars and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Good sized, clean room with free mini bar. Used the hotels free bikes to explore the city, which was great fun. Loved tgat the hotel gave you access to free tea and coffee through out tge day. Definitely stay here again.

Nothing, all perfect

The best part of our stay was the staff -- friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. The Altstadt location is great, though be sure to take the hotel's card with you to help taxi drivers. (We had a long and... inadvertent... tour of the city with a driver who didn't know the hotel.) The mini-bar is free and re-stocked daily -- a great perq, much appreciated. Breakfast was good.

Be aware that the hotel does not have handicap-accessible rooms. The showers, for example, require a significant (to us) step up. Though it's in excellent condition it's an older building, so while the elevator to our floor (the 4th) was good, there were still four steps to climb to get to our room. For most people this wouldn't be an issue at all.

The location is excellent. Right in the centre of Munich.Close to Marienplatz and the S-Bahn station. The main station is a 15-minute walk away. My room was spacious and well equipped. Absolutely clean. The mini-bar was filled every day with soft drinks. Breakfast buffet is excellent, to cater for all diets and tastes. The coffee machine can be used all day. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I have stayed at this hotel several times and can highly recommend it

A comfortable and clean hotel in a fantastic central position, that was ideal for a weekend break. The breakfast was enjoyable and reasonably priced, and the free mini bar in the room was topped up each night. We enjoyed our stay and would come back to this hotel when next visiting Munich

That our holiday got cut short by a day due to a nationwide airport strike in Germany on our day of return, meaning we were moved to a flight 24-hours earlier, so lost a day of the holiday - not the hotels fault at all, but a shame as we were really enjoying our stay.

Great hotel located in the historic centre of Munich. Plenty of restaurants, bars and other amenities in the immediate area. Metro and overground station within easy walking distance, making getting around the city and to the airport very easy. Generous sized room, although the bathroom was a bit on the compact size, with minibar included consisting of alcoholic and soft beverages and water all replenished every day.

The hotel is located down a side street which during the day appears to very quiet but during the evening can get a bit noisy as it becomes a principal transit way for people out and about town in the evening. A minor compromise given the hotel's location.

Beds are not super comfortable, for 1-2 nights it is ok, AC wasn’t working so even in winter with the heat was uncomfortable to sleep because it was hot and wasn’t able to regulate it

We were in Munich for the Christmas market, and the hotel was a short stroll away. The room was a little on the small side, with good modern amenities. Breakfast at the hotel is to die-for, you will want for nothing, and half empty trays are continually restocked by the friendly, efficient staff, and all food is very well prepared and presented, certainly worth getting out of bed for on those cold winter mornings.

Lack of snow. it would have been nice to see a small dusting of snow over trees and buildings. otherwise everything else was perfect.

Nice room with very good bathroom, comfy beds, coffee making facilities & complimentary mini bar. Complimentary buffet breakfast was exceptional! So much variety & friendly staff. Good sized lift/elevator to all floors, great when travelling with large luggage. Short walk to main shopping centre/eateries & about 15 minute walk to main train station. Good location!
