The room was large with a view on the entrance are to the hotel. The rooms are sound proof and the silence was absolute. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good as well.

Breakfast could have had more better fresh fruit selection. In the room slippers would have been welcome. At least one small bottle of water could have been free of charge.

The property is big and beautiful. There is pool that is quite spacious and there are many sun beds. The breakfast area is outside as well as inside, so you can choose where to sit. There is also a restaurant next to the hotel which is a little expensive but the food was excellent and the service was amazing. Their rooms are good and their beds are very comfortable. There is a little bit of sound from the cicadas outside as the hotel is surrounded by trees, but if you close your windows you barely hear them. Their staff is very nice and can clear up any problems within a day. There is also a gym that is stacked with many machines and is exceptionally clean.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We booked a junior suite, which was very spacious and comfortable. Lovely new bathroom and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. Great value for money

Quite a way out of town and with a new tram line being built in the city centre it took longer than expected in a taxi. However, we think it was worth it. Breakfast is mediocre. We had a late flight home and there were no facilities to shower before we left. Very unusual in our experience.

The breakfast was not of a quality one would’ve expected from a 4 star hotel, I wished there would’ve been a larger selection of cheese / sausages to put on your break rolls, and to have more fruit as well as vegetables or salad! Not everyone wants to eat sweet things for breakfast

I have returned many times to the Savoia, and this short stay again met my expectations. The room was comfortable, and the staff were accomodating to requests. Breakfast was great. The gym has been renovated, but still feels a bit minimalist, with not a lot of equipment. I did not use the pool, but it looked very nice. Parking was ample, and free.

Maybe finishing the breakfast half an hour later could help people having to deal with jet lag. The line for drying clothes in the bathroom was not working, and was not repaired in time for my stay. This is an excellent hotel if you have a car, but it is a bit away from the city which may not be convenient if you are in Bologna for business. However, there is a bus line that takes you to the business district within a short waking distance should you prefer this.

Breakfast was fine, apart from the coffee which apparently wasn’t great ((I don’t drink it). The room was very comfortable and the dinner in the restaurant was very good - apart from the tea after the meal. We had stayed here many, many years ago, which is why we returned, and we found it just as good as on the other occasions.

It was a bit disappointing that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Although it is typical of hotels in Europe not to provide tea and coffee making facilities, we have found more are now doing so, and it would have been nice to have been able to make a hot drink - particularly as hot drinks don’t seem to be the restaurant’s strong point! However it would not prevent us staying there again.

Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including a fridge and tea making facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Good choices of bread, pastries and perfect scrambled egg and bacon. The restaurant was lovely and we had a delicious meal. The service was exceptional.

A small grumble was the size of the swimming pool. For the size of the hotel it was on the small side. Once used by 4 or 5 people it was difficult to find a place to swim. Being charged for a towel was unusual compared to all the other places we have stayed in Italy.

The hotel is very nice, the room was comfortable and had everything one might need. The food I ate at the restaurant was also good, and breakfast had a lot of nice options. I appreciated that they provided vegan options during the conference.

The water smelled very bad. I normally drink tap water without any issues but in this case I did not trust myself to do that. I don't know if it has to do with the hotel though, or if the water in Bologna is just kind of bad (I studied there years ago and I remember the quality wasn't great back then either).

No hassle from anyone. No “Jobsworth “ staff. Left us alone to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. Breakfast was spot on. Coffee was quite delicious. Choices for breakfast were varied to suit every taste. Bus service to the centre as excellent and easy. We didn’t realise the hotel restaurant was award standard, so unfortunately we didn’t try it….Definitely on The To- Do list for next time!

Nothing! Pretty much happy with everything we received for what we paid to be guests.

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable room, comfy bed and a balcony that is bigger than an average apartment. The breakfast was nice, although a bit more options could be closer to perfect. The restaurant offers great food, at a reasonable price. The hotel has a nice garden, the pool was great, too. Getting to Bologna is easy and takes about 30 mins by bus. The neighbourhood around the hotel is nothing special, average residential area.

Better options for kids would be appreciated at the restaurant.
