Herr Salem at reception was cheerful, friendly and got us checked in with no issues. The lobby (with live Christmas tree) was very pretty and comfortable. The room was spotless (maybe newly renovated?), bed and pillows very comfortable, having a terrace on the 7th floor was a bonus (though in December we only used it to check the weather and view). Bonus: though not listed in room amenities there was a fridge. Overall a terrific stay. Thank you!

The ONLY improvement might be adding a safety bar to hold onto at the far end of the tub/shower as it is a rather high step to get in and out and with a sloping tub floor (I’m slim and agile and it was still a bit nervous-making). To us the room was too warm, but we simply opened the terrace door a bit while we were in the room (the thermostat in the room is not adjustable).

Location, facilities and hygiene

Very unpleasant situation with feont desk staff. We where informed on our stay from a staff member that we have breakfast included in our stay and we where very hapoy about it. When checking out other staff member informad us that we need to pay for our breakfast (64 eur) because other guy madw a mistake. This seems like a trap amd not a very good practice in how to treat your guests. In the end we came to agreement and we payed half of the price(32 eur) we are not satisfied because even breakfast was great we didn't asked for it and since we usualy dont eat that early. If it was a mistake hotel should take responsibility. Especialy since this is not our first time here.

Comfy beds, clean, everything worked. Great location for Wien main station and exploring the city. Was able to drop bags off early at reception. Bought some cheap beer and wine at reception for the room and it was actually alright! Balconies in both rooms we had (2 adults and 3 kids) and they were next to each other. Exceptional sound proofing, never experienced quite so excellent soundproofing. Reception area was quite cool - 70s glam

It was great value and didn’t dislike anything. Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as €16 per person inc kids was a wee bit much - excellent coffee and pastry shop (15 minuten suisse) a few minutes away - so that wasn’t a big deal. Saved our pennies for nice lunches out. I was surprised that this was a good stay for a value price - soooo comfy beds even my grumpy teen said how comfy the beds were!

We had selected this property but booking was canceled due to operational issues and we were directed to an adjacent hotel - Yygotel. They provided breakfast free upon request. Excellent recently updated room with great new bathroom and new flooring/furniture. Comfortable new bed. Extensive updates occurring during stay including carpeting/flooring but undertaken with little or no inconvenience to guests. Staff excellent. Tradies terrific and helpful too.

Nothing. It was clear that the hotel was being significantly upgraded and improved but this was done with minimal disruption to guests, and the staff and tradesmen were helpful when we needed to access and walk via different routes.

After paying for the reservation, we received a message from the hotel that the hotel is closed due to constructions and we will be rebooked to another hotel. They gave us a choice between to agree with rebooking or give us the money back. The another hotel was HOLIDAY INN VIENNA SOUTH, Wienerbergstraße 7, 1100. Despite the fact that we did not stay at the Select Hotel Prinz Eugen and were not informed in advance about the renovation of the hotel, I rate this stay as excellent. HOLIDAY INN VIENNA SOUTH was great. I'm glad the rebooking went smoothly and without complications.

Nice, quiet and clean hotel next to the main train station. Room was clean and comfortable, we got the view to the courtyard so we weren't bothered by the noise from the street. Bed was great, big and comfortable with comfy covers. Bathroom was well equipped and clean. There is a great connection by U Bahn, tram or bus to the city centre and other city parts.

There should be more personnel on the reception, we waited quite a long time because of other guests requests and problems, but that didn't spoil our stay at the hotel.

The hotel does its job perfectly. You check-in, sleep for a few hours and catch your train from the main station, which is 3 minutes away of walking.

They could store your luggage until you check-in, but there is no sign which luggage is yours, nor do they check if you even have a reservation. You could take whoever's luggage is in the luggage room. Be careful with that! Front office manager's fault, not the receptionists'.

The location was perfect as it provided a good walking distance to a major attraction (Belvedere Palace), stones away from the station and lots of food options within walking distance. Prime location! Also there was construction but the management kept it of sight and noise-free as much as they can; while all other facilities still working well.

It was just warm in the room at night

The man and womanhood spoke with at the counter were very friendly and helpful. Entry and exit from the hotel was smooth. The breakfast staff were extremely friendly and very efficient. It was nice that they remembered me and made conversation. I hope they receive recognition because it made my stay so much better (especially travelling alone).

I am actually writing a review for the Yggotel Mejse as the Prinze Eugene had to close for operational reasons and Booking moved us to a hotel down the street.. The location of this hotel next the railroad station was ideal as we arrived by train from Budapest and left by train to Munich. The room was a good size, with a nice roomy bathroom. and shower. It was very hot the next day, so a fan was left in our room for ventilation. It was a bit of a walk to the city center, but plenty to see along the way. Nice breakfast buffet with plenty of tables.

The entrance door to our room did not open all the way which made it difficult to get our luggage in the door. No air conditioning made the room a bit stuffy. Fortunately, though we made no requestt, a fan was put into our room while we were out - a nice gesture by the staff knowing it was going to be a hot day.
