Loved the clean rooms and the lovely beds excellent views lovely breakfast fresh and tasty. The place was clean and the service was EXCELLENT the staff was very welcoming and very helpful. Best service hotel in Durban

The continental breakfast we took home at 4am was a bit stale. It just tasted a bit old like 3days old. But that was the only negative.

So beautiful and very clean and nice smell. But I feel like we need small carpets for bath room and a toilet brush.

The hotel rooms were decent, there was probably something like the drain in the bathroom had a smell but they moved us out and into another room. They need to inform those that book into the rooms that the "Door" in the center of the room needs to be kept locked as someone on the other side of my room opened his side of the "Door" and was playing loud music and knocking on my side of the "Door" at 3am in the morning. The beds are comfortable and daily you get house cleaning to come and replace the sheets and get you fresh towels. 8/10 The breakfast was amazing it's NOT halaal but there is no cross contamination and all the veggie goods are kept separate and I loved it. 10/10 For parking you have to pay R50 a night not sure if price will go up but be in the know. Ample parking available. 10/10 The location of this hotel is Good as it's very close to gateway mall and like 10 minutes drive to the beach.

Myself and my family were treated like royalty from the time we entered reception right through to housekeeping. The breakfast was outstanding every day was special. We have traveled extensively, but the Holiday Inn Express goes the extra mile to ensure that your stay is comfortable as well as memorable. Each and every staff member shows a huge amount of respect that it almost made it impossible for us to check out. They also take your needs into consideration. Our next check-in was only at 2, but the receptionist took care of our luggage whilst we had the opportunity to explore our surroundings. The hotel is spotless, and we had the opportunity to have fresh linen every day. We are definitely checking in again.

The staff in this place are highly professionals. The staff at the reception are unreal. The day you book in they go through everything you need to know about the hotel. If i may mention the staffmember's name at the reception Brandon this guy is unreal. He only saw me once when i booked in believe it or not the next day he said hi mr and mrs da silva. Considering that this guy must see hundreds of people everyday this shows you how important people are to this young men. The first day at breakfast i could not believe what i saw everyone from the receptionists to the manager helping one another clearing the tables to make sure there was enough food available etc. Fantastic team work. Please pass on these comments to the hotel management.

The staff all round had been phenomenal 👏 Profesional, always willing to assist and have been very friendly.Breakfast were well prepared. Housekeeping staff were amazing.

The lifts take too long to arrive. Programming of lifts should be reviewed. The swimming pool hours does not accommodate guest who go out during the day and want to cool down in the evening. The 17:00 cut off needs to be reviewed especially since the pool is so small and is always full during the day. Perhaps considering a warn pool as competitive accommodation around Umhlanga has heated pools. Lastly pillows were too soft. Harder pillows would have made it much more comfortable.

The staff was very friendly especially the ladies at reception. Breakfast was lovely and very fresh. Location very convenient and close to everywhere you can possibly want to go to. Pool always clean. Though the hotel was busy they managed the breakfast sitting very well. Hotel very clean. Clean swimming towels was also a nice touch.

The lifts took forever to get to the 4th floor. Housekeeping comes in very late, there was a day where it was done at 3pm.Would be nice to have a chef at breakfast to prepare omelets. You pay an additional fee for parking. Pool closing at 5pm that is far too early, please consider at least 6/7pm especially because kids are supervised at all times.

From the minute we walked into the hotel, we felt special! Besides the fact that the decor and furniture surpassed our expectations of an "Express" hotel, we also were welcomed warmly and our initial bedroom with two single beds was speedily upgraded to a lovely bedroom with a double bed and sea views after somebody cancelled . My request that evening for one more sachet of tea and 2 more sugars, was so kindly answered! I was even told that they would have brought it up to our room!! Breakfast was not entirely my hubby's best as he does not eat bacon or mutton sausages, but he got by with a Continental Breakfast and we both loved the Cappuccino on tap!! I loved the croissants with pecan nuts and when there were no more, dearest Princess fetched me some from the kitchen! I can certainly give this hotel a 5/5 for wonderful staff ...from the ladies who cleaned the rooms to the gents at the underground parking(which is great and well-priced!) ,the waiters and every staff member we met...all superceded our expectations by yards! Whatever you do, please keep on doing it!! We WILL be back!

Wow,always buffet breakfast are not tasty. Your hotel staff went an extra mile to meet the guests need.Varierity of food served and fresh fruits and onions with tomatoes 🍅 were fresh as well as crispy lettuce.Let alone your confectioneries were fresh daily.enjoyed mostly croissants. Your milk yogurt were fresh WOW whole lot of beverages ☕ to choose from. Friendly staff as I used to say thank you to them as well.

The room Was apparently cleaned few day bf.didnt like black things on the sheets and long brown hair on the sheets and inside the fridge

Hloni , Thabsile, Sifiso and Nomfundo made sure to welcome my brother and I to the hotel with open arms. Extremely amazing people ,kind hearted . They made sure that my brother and I were embraced with kindness and a smile. They really went above and beyond to ensure our stay at the hotel would be incredible, in which it was . My brother enjoyed his birthday at the Hotel. Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming. Absolutely amazing people.
