Hotel is located in a quiet place, away from main streets, but in the same time it's so close to Galata bridge, Galata Tower, old city, Karakoy streets, Galataport, tram station and more. The rooms were clean, simple but stylish. Loved the spacious breakfast area on the rooftop that had beautiful views. The breakfast offered a good variety of different dishes.

Not a major thing and wasn't inconvenience for us personally, but worth mentioning here - the hotel doesn't have a direct car access so one would need to walk few steps with a luggage from the main street.

Very nice central location close to the tram station. One can also have a nice walk along the Galataport waterfront or to the Galata tower. No street noise. It was very quiet during the nights. The hotel is situated in a way that it’s surrounded by other buildings which shield it from the noise. Our room was clean. Amazing view from the dining area. Polite and friendly staff willing to help.

Since the hotel is in the middle of a building block, we had no view from the room. The windows were facing a wall. Very little natural lighting, so we had to use the lamps most of the day. We requested a child cot and were given an old, crumbling cot with no mattress. We couldn’t use it. But the biggest disappointment for us was breakfast. The selection of food was pretty standard, but it looked so stale and tasted weird. We stayed 5 days and nothing changed. Same food, same horrible taste every day. I think it was the worst breakfast I ever had in a hotel. Such a shame given the breakfast area itself is amazing.

Excellent Location and Great Hospitality The hotel’s location is excellent—less than a 3-minute walk to both the bus stop and the tram station, making transportation very convenient. I encountered a scheduling issue with my booking, but the hotel manager handled it quickly and kindly, for which I’m very grateful. Mr. Yashar at the reception was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the check-in experience very pleasant. The breakfast area offers a beautiful view, and the hotel overall is clean and peaceful, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to enhance the variety and quality of the breakfast.

Our stay at Ferman Port Hotel Istanbul Karakoy was the best experience we could have imagined. The location is absolutely unbeatable—just steps away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, which made exploring the historic centre incredibly convenient. The staff were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious during breakfast, with a great variety of options that truly showcased Turkish cuisine. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be returning to Ferman Port Hotel on our next trip to Istanbul. Special shout out to Mahmood who was always cheerful and extremely friendly. He helps us during our stay and carried heavy luggage for us to the airport transfer. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect.

The hotel is in a great location, it’s very comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff did a great job on a daily basis with our room. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful with helping us move through the city, booking tours, etc. Special thanks to Medeni, Yashar, Selim and the front desk night staff for being so attentive during our stay, you guys made our visit a much more enjoyable experience.

Very comfortable rooms, good location close to tram line. The staff were friendly and helpful. The manager very kindly swapped our rooms for no extra charge when we were unhappy with the size of one of them. Mohammed from reception even helped us to buy our tram card from the machine. Enjoyed the free water and beverage machine in the lounge. The view from the breakfast restaurant on the roof was absolutely stunning. This made up for us not having views from our rooms.

The lady cleaning our rooms was not very friendly. I found some ugly toe nails next to my bed and dirty footprints in the shower(probably from maintenance staff). Mohammed at reception was very apologetic and saw to it being rectified personally .

The hotel was in a central location, with access to public transportation. It was close to the ferry, the new mosque, and the spice market. Most attractions were about a 30—to 40-minute walk from the hotel. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was terrific and the staff was excellent. The room was small, but it was clean and well kept. The staff helped me get a sim card for my phone, which cost $35 for 5 days. They also arranged a pick up at the airport, which was $60 for five people. We also took a taxi back to the airport for about $41. They also had a spa, where I had my first experience of a Turkish bath.

The area seemed run down with graffiti on the buildings.

As our first time in Istanbul, we had no idea of what to expect. When we arrived at our hotel we were a bit concerned because of the alley we had to walk through. We soon found that the most amazing gem of a hotel. Rasul greeted us with a warm smile and cold water. Our room was large and clean with ample room for three adults. Breakfast on the rooftop each morning was excellent ;with much variety. The location is surrounded by many shops and restaurants. We found out on our last day that there is a second terrace which gives you a perfect spot for pictures of the water. Akin and his staff are amazing polite and courteous

Nothing at all but the 4:20 am call to pray was a bit of a shock the first time you hear it

Staff was very polite, helpful, and kind. Location was perfect. Close by to Galata Port Galata Tower metro station, very close to the other side of old town of Istanbul, just 4 stops by tram station from Sultanahmet. The hotel had a nice little terrace up the 4rth floor of the caffeteria or breakfast area that had the nicest view of Istanbul, really breath taking view and serenity. The hotel was cozy in its interior, and was quiet, hidden in the corner of Karakoy port. Very close by foot to a very live neighbourhood of bars and restaurant of fresh fish and turkish cuisine and sweets shops. Great location.

The hotel rooms that we were accomodated, had no view at all, and had one window from the inside of all pipes of kitchen. No problem because no bad smell nor noises could come inside, but having a room with no light or sunlight nor natural light was not good at all. We couldn't tell day from night and I didn't ask for that nor did I get any discount for having a room with no view and no light. The breakfast was ok it seemed like you had many choices but some bakery were old and even cold, which in Turkey is commonless. The room was clean, and the sheets and the towels, but apart of that, no one came or offered to come for changing the trash bins, or replacing any used towel in 3 nights stay. Value for money not worth it.

Spacious clean rooms , fair Turkish breakfast available. The personnel of the hotel was very kind and helpful and the hotel location was perfect

Our experience at the spa was very bad unfortunately. The spa staff was quite unprofessional. They were very aggressive during the massage, had long nails that scratched you, and while you were waiting, they were playing on their phones inside the massage rooms. Additionally, the Turkish bath was performed using supermarket products in rather dirty conditions, which caused me an eye infection.
