The staff are exceptionally kind and responsive. Fluent in English and Turkish, they were very welcoming and responded very quickly to requests for towels, new sheets, and a check on the AC. They were quick to assist in calling a cab and arranged an airport shuttle ($55, pretty standard) and facilitated dry cleaning (~$60 for a suit and gown) and laundry (by the kilo). They had great knowledge of the neighborhood and provided walk-able restaurant recommendations. Ask about tour recommendations after you book - they have a few reliable folks they work with regularly. and I wish we had done that instead of winging it on our own. Location is perfect - a short walk to multiple public transit lines (and the ferry!) that take you directly to the big tourist attractions and further up into the city. Galata Tower within walking distance and directly visible from some rooms, and the rooftop view is excellent. For the last three days of the stay, I was terribly sick with a GI infection. My partner mentioned I was sick, and *every* time any member of the staff saw him, they asked about how I was doing. They provided a great recommendation for a soup restaurant and were very responsive to requests for sheets, towels, water, and lent us the air freshener they keep at the front desk. I can't thank them enough for their care and kindness. The breakfast was fantastic, from the service to the food. Even if we weren't staying at the hotel, we would have gone back to get breakfast every day of our trip.

There is no meal service to your room - you can go to the restaurant on the rooftop, but they won't bring it to your room. The AC wasn't on when we arrived, so the room was fairly hot. After we asked maintenance to take a look and made sure the windows were sealed, the room did eventually cool down. The minifridge isn't great, but it will keep things colder than room temp. If you take the keycard out of the slot in the wall, electricity is cut off, which meant we couldn't have the room cool when we came back without leaving a keycard. The bathroom door wasn't actually a door, but a pane of translucent glass. It didn't completely shut, so not great for privacy. Sheets and towels were low quality, but clean.

Pros: Location was terrific! 2 buildings over from a taxi rank with lovely people, across the road from the taxi rank was a street full of amazing restaurants and little shops! Literally couldn’t have been better! The staff were also super lovely and did everything they could to help. Cons: The room was a little smaller than I anticipated, the shower was not the best, the bed was hard as heck, you could hear everything on the street outside the window. Overall: The cons were all surface level things that were easy to get past with the location being so fantastic.

The location of this hotel is excellent. With the metro stop just a two-minute walk away, it was effortless to get around and explore. It only took us 15 minutes by metro and 30 minutes by foot to get to all the major attractions in the area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The property was well-maintained, and The cozy and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. Additionally, we were pleased to discover many great restaurants and cafes nearby. It was nice to have a variety of dining options at our fingertips. But what really made our stay memorable were the hotel staff members, Mehmet, Faith, Melissa, and Sukru. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. Their warm hospitality and willingness to help us with any questions or concerns made us feel incredibly valued as guests. Overall, I highly recommend the Haze Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Istanbul near Karaköy, Galata, or Sultanahmet.

I have nothing bad to say about my experience at this hotel. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Overall, I had a wonderful time during my stay, and I would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future.

Pillows were too hard and thick, room was so small and difficult to manoeuvre with two people, very noisy street with honking horns and sirens around the clock, windows were left open by cleaners which let mosquitoes into the room, fridge didn’t keep my food cold (freezer needed defrosting badly), bedside light on one side of the bed didn’t work, tiny elevators were confusing to operate so I ended up mostly using the stairs,

Breakfast was outstanding, the Terrace Restaurant is superb as is the food also. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the heart of all the action. Close to Galata Tower, Cihangir, Dolmabache Palace, Istiklal Street, and then a walk across the Galata Bridge to Sultanahmet and all the historical buildings and bazaars. The room was perfect in size for a hotel and all facilities were clean and modern. The hotel staff were exceptional, Rafi the Manager and Sukro the Concierge were always available to me to answer questions, book my tours advice, and look after my luggage, I stayed 3 times at The Haze on my 3 visits to Istanbul over the last 3 months, that's how highly I rate it

I couldn't fault anything.

The location was excellent. Karakoy has a very exciting vibe with lots of young people, especially Turks, on the streets and in the cafes. Access to a main tram line, a ferry stop and the funicular to Istiklal was very convenient The hotel itself, and our room, was very pleasant and clean. The staff were always helpful and responsive.

We tried the hotel restaurant for breakfast on the first morning quite early. The service was hopelessly slow, the coffee was dreadful (in Turkey of all places, where coffee is normally excellent everywhere) so we left without ordering anything. (The nearby Namli Gurme deli/restaurant is a great breakfast alternative.) Also the standard double room, though pleasant, is quite "compact" so there is not a lot of room for luggage.

Could not have asked for a better stay in Istanbul! Perfectly situated near the bridge between the Uber chic Karaköy and the old town, it was the best central location for walking or catching the tram to all of the sights to see! The hotel amenities were lovely and the rooms well appointed clean and comfortable. We had a double single room which had more than enough space with windows that open and nice air conditioning to cool off after a long day. The staff at the hotel were so lovely for the two days of our stay we were so warmly welcomed and always greeted with a smile! Helped to bring our bags upstairs even though they were quite heavy. When we realised we had forgotten our adapters for the local outlets they lent us theirs and provided directions to buy some on our first day out. Thank you to the lovely team. The wifi is very fast and reliable! I had to do some work during my stay and had no issue sending an email with quite a number of large files and opening all my documents! Lots of power outlets in the room too! The hotel arranged transport to and from the airport that was very speedy and well priced! When there was a mix up for our airport drop off the hotel manager jumped to help fix this straight away to get us to our flight in time was super caring and kind in what could have been a stressful situation we felt at ease. The driver was also very kind and was a very safe driver but when the time came could have been an F1 driver to get us to our flight on time! The food experience on the rooftop is not to be missed! We had breakfast there every morning! A delicious full Turkish breakfast with filter coffee and tea free flowing. One of the best meals I have eaten during my stay. The hosts are also very warm and welcoming with great knowledge about the food explaining each dish and the Turkish word for them! We had lunch here and ate the most amazing dishes upon the recommendation of our host! Very caring and lovely hotel i can’t wait to come back!

The Haze Karaköy location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Istanbul, with easy access to all major attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist. The rooms were spacious, well-decorated, and impeccably clean. Breakfast was a highlight of my stay, best in town, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to start the day. The ambiance of the hotel is warm and inviting, making it a truly memorable experience.

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike. Everything about the stay was perfect
