Good location, clean, nice staff, comfortable

The walls are so thin, you can hear literally everything. You hear the elevator, the guests in the next room and even the sound from their phones.

Great location, modern, clean , spacious room with efficient use of space.Staff were professional and helpful. Breakfast was excellent at a fair price and they were very friendly and accommodating. The hamaam was exceptional. We booked the hotel transfer from the hotel to the airport and it was excellent and professional

The hotel is at excellent location, near the Galata port. Plenty of dining options as the street is packed with restaurant and bars. Do not miss the Baklava shop 100 meters away. Clean, modern rooms, large modern TV with screen mirroring!!!. Bathroom and shower - good. Good and fast internet. Staff - will do anything for you. Breakfast is good, lot of local dishes. Ask for Turkish caffe, they will make it for you. Thank you Hotel Galata for 2 nice days!

Internet log-in is complicated, requires passport number, but that might be a govt. regulation.

The breakfast was great-so many choices and so delicious. The location was perfect. We much preferred to be in the Karikoy region rather than Sultanahmet as it was a bit quieter. We could get anywhere from here. We were two blocks to the Galata pedestrian bridge that brought you into Sultanahmet where most of the historical tourist sites were. We were two blocks to the waterfront with ferries that would take you everywhere. We were also on a street filled with a ton of varied restaurants. We ended up eating most of our dinners in this location. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and spoke terrific English. They helped us with different tour options, and upon our departure, Salim called a taxi for us that picked us up directly in front of the hotel, even though it was typically just a pedestrian walkway. It was also much cheaper than the airport shuttle that was advertised on their front counter. Oh, one more thing...the shower water pressure was amazing!

Really, not a whole lot. Just one thing to consider if you are handicapped, as far as I could tell, there was no elevator access to the top floor where the breakfasts were served.

The standard room is very compact, meant just for sleeping. Room and shower are modern. My windows faced another building, so I kept the curtains closed. Otherwise, people can see each other. The first half of the night it was noisy outside, but closed windows blocked it well. Air conditioner power cannot be adjusted, only turned off or the temperature lowered. Still, it works well and is powerful. Reception staff were rather cold. Restaurant staff were excellent – very hospitable and helpful. Not obvious at first that you can order extra breakfast dishes. Food and drinks at breakfast were tasty. Breakfast room is beautiful, with panoramic windows. The terrace is windy, hot and sunny in summer. Probably nicer in the evening. Pool is pleasant, warm, with comfortable depth. Sunbeds available. Hammam is hot but not humid enough, since there is no steam. You can pour water on surfaces yourself to improve it. Towels are available on the spa floor. I would like to thank the staff of Galata's Hotel for their incredible hospitality. The reception and breakfast personnel made us feel welcome and at home and were always very helpful, friendly, and professional. The cleaning was impeccable. The hotel itself is very modern and calm. It felt like an oasis and was really a place where we could rest after a long day of exploring. The room was comfortable, cozy and clean. We also used the wellness area and were pleased with the experience. The location was good for exploring the main sites and for strolling along the Bosphorus.

the staff are super friendly, the cleaners are nice and cooperative , near to the galata port, plus the area has a lot of cafes, restaurants and small grocery stores, the breakfast was standard and very simple but high quality and I personally liked it, for others it might be very simple and the choices are limited

There’s no sound proof at all, the walls were super thin, you can easily hear the TV from room next to you , at night there’s a near Bar that turn on loud music, you can easily feel that you are inside the bar for me the hotel is 10/10 I loved it but those walls without the sound proof were a big issue to me . if you are a normal/light sleeper that’s an issue , if you are a heavy sleeper and sounds are not an issue for you, this place is excellent a ( Tip ) ask for the rooms in the 2-3 floor and near the corners, they are a bit quieter because the are away from the center and the elevator where there’s alot of noise

The tour company that I was traveling with has two nights at Galata’s , decided to arrive two nights earlier than my tour date and stay at Galata ‘s as it was recommended by my tour company ..did not disappoint and super happy with my decision . It began with Beste Dundar (Reservation ) who was reaching out and make sure my questions are answered ,even at her off hours ( while not at work ) …what an exemplary employee ..

The staff were super friendly and nice, the breakfast was phenomenal, with quite a lot of options, with some of them changed on a daily basis. The breakfast is served on a rooftop restaurant with a good view of the Bosporus, and id definitely recommend it. The room was quite cozy, even though it was not that spacious, however it was clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. During our stay most likely there weren't too many guests in the hotel and whenever we visited the spa after sunset, no other guests were using it, and we basically had a private spa. The sauna was great, spacious and with a good view from inside of it, the turkish bath was fine, and the pool had quite a warm water, it had incredible lights above it, giving an impression you are swimming under the night sky, and overall the whole spa experience was lovely. Last but not least the location of the hotel is astounding. It is located below the Galata tower and towards the shore, and at first sight the street where it is located, might not seem as much, however the streets in and around the hotel are full of life, super safe, friendly people where most speak English, great choices for restaurants, bars, street food and so on. I'd definitely recommend putting aside some time after sunset ti visit some of this places as they are so vibrant, not that expensive and are a great experience to visit. As a final note on the location, in terms of tourist attractions and things to visit, everything is quite close, we were walking basically to all of the attractions in the European part that we wanted to see, and nothing was super far away from the hotel. As a final note i have to stay the cat that stays in the lobby is really gorgeous and friendly, and she has her own chair within the lobby, where she can be found each night.

There was not much a view from the room that I was staying. The pool needs a bit more cleaning in some of the corners.

The location was 200m from the Bosphorus, 150m to tram; and about 20min walk up the hill to the pedestrian street. There are restaurants 10m away, and less touristy ones up the hill. The Galata Port shopping complex is 300m away, as is the Modern Art Gallery. B/fast was good, with omelettes made to order.

The one staff member at Reception was really unfriendly. But every other member, at Reception and in b/fast room were exceptionally helpful. When leaving, we had a long discussion about how the cats are accepted, and allowed to come in and out of all buildings.
