The room was well appointed with examples of Danish design. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean.

When we went to check out we were told that we had to pay a premium because we were paying with a credit card. We had booked our stay on Booking.com. There was no mention of any type of premium because we used a credit card. I travel extensively and have NEVER come across this before. I asked to see the manager but the person behind the reception told me he was in charge and NO EXCEPTIONS could be made to this policy. He then produced a small picture frame that had their "Credit Card Policy" and told me I should have been made aware of this at 'Check-in'. - noboby had shown us this when we arrived. On reflection, this should be on the listing on Booking.com. If we had know this we would have booked elsewhere.

Bathroom was very tired in our room, shower pressure not great & some Mildew around shower handle but this aside hotel was lovely, maybe just a bathroom refurb in the rooms but wouldn’t stop me staying again.

Rubbish/trash from the previous occupant was not cleaned on our arrival. We asked reception to clean the room, but it was still not cleaned during our stay.

Location was very convenient, and we only discovered the excellent brunch spot next door on our last day! Bed was very comfortable.

There was a funny smell (of drains) in the bathroom, which was a bit off putting.

No porter or anyone to help with suitcases. Rain shower ok but hand held separate shower unit only stand at chest level only. Not possible to shower without water spill on the floor. Basin too small and clamp difficult to wash face without wetting the floor or bump into something, need 2 floor mat. Got fan, Aircon, ironing board but iron not ok very basic no steam. Pillow too short fortunately has another extra one. Breakfast offers a lot but so so. Fresh bread not good. Good tea varieties. Bacon too crispy and hard, cannot do the English way, all hotels seems to cook in this way. They cannot do soft boiled eggs, cook too much then put into hot water still cook more ask them to try no success

Location was perfect, close to Tivoli park and also very near the city center. Easy to walk to most of the attractions and locations. Also close to main train station. Luggage storage has been provided to us by the hotel after checking out.

Bed and pillows were the worst. Really uncomfortable and could be improved. Good luck if you get the room with a view on the street - there is some music venue directly across the street so it could be noisy. Our room was looking at the back of the hotel, so it was quiet. Late check-out was only possible until 1pm which doesn`t have too much sense. Cleaning of the room is only by request AND if you submit your request on time.

The hotel is very close to the center of all activities in Copenhagen. The room that I ended up with was small but very comfortable. I enjoyed the gentility of this older hotel.

When I first got to the hotel, I was put in a room facing the street. The television did not work, so I complained. Then I went out to see the sights. When I returned, the open bar across the street was playing the LOUDEST music, and the thin windows of my room were no use to block the sound. It was deafening and I found myself getting very upset because this noise would go on for hours every evening. Thankfully because of the tv and the noise, I was allowed to switch rooms to a quieter location. Warning to anyone who books a room here - make sure to ask for a room that does not face the street!

Charming, clean and very nicely appointed hotel with great service located near Tivoli in the city center area. Easy to walk from the hotel to the entire city center. Lovely full breakfast option for the mornings, in house bar/lounge for the evening. Staff was always helpful and courteous.

The hotel is situated in a string of buildings within the city block. Our room faced the neighboring building that was undergoing renovation and had scaffolding up the height of the building. At 7:30 am - daily, workers arrived and loud banging ensued, along with workers loudly conversing. Our third floor room windows faced all of this and workers were up at our level on the scaffolding. Of course, the hotel had nothing to do with this, however, I would recommend checking ahead of booking. In the evening, an outdoor live music/bar directly across the street from the hotel was bustling with patrons. The music and activity lasted until about 11:00 every evening we were there. It wasn't blasting, but loud enough to be a distraction if you're an early to bed person.

stayed at the Ascot Hotel for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience, the service was extraordinary — the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. My room was clean and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is unbeatable — just next to Tivoli Gardens and the train station, and only a short walk to the city center and the Nyhavn area. It made exploring Copenhagen so convenient. One of the great perks was their bike rental offer, which I took advantage of. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Copenhagen. Highly recommended!

The location was excellent. Easy walking distance from the station and the centre of Copenhagen. The room wasn't large, but once we got organized, it was fine. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very good. Having the sink outside the bathroom was different, but worked well since one of us could use the sink while the other was in the bathroom. The included buffet breakfast was excellent with a large, good quality selection. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Copenhagen.
