Room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was very good though the hot breakfast could have been a little warmer. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean but being pedantic the shower pressure was not the best, Air conditioning was not the best either and barely kept you cool at night. The location was excellent and directly across from the central station in Copenhagen served by train and the metro, ‘Scotland this is the transport system you must aspire too’ it is one of the best systems I have ever seen. Tivoli Gardens were across the street as well as the Tivoli food hall and various other food outlets and bars. Prices are a bit higher than the UK for restaurants and bars, approximately 10/15% . iIf you are coeliac use the ‘Find Me Gluten Free’ app this worked for my husband. Beautiful clean city for a visit and the architecture is fascinating with amazing buildings in every part of the city. Must see/do: Canal trip/Christiansborg Palace (lots of museums in this area )Christiania Free Town/Our Saviours Church (a little scary if you suffer from Vertigo), Nyhavn, Rosenberg Castle. Use the metro system and it will take you very close to anything you wish to visit. PS. The canal tours pass the Little Mermaid statue but you only see the back of her.

I cannot stress this enough BEWARE OF THE CYCLISTS they do not care if you are in the way. Remember there are pavements then cycle lanes then roads, confuse the pavements and cycle lanes at your peril.

The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious.

There must have been a problem with the drains as at times there was a dreadful smell in the reception area and up through the stairwell. The toilets down behind reception smelt foul. Also in the bedroom the bedside lights and the bathroom lights would not work unless you had the main ceiling light on!!?

Top location. Very central and close to everything you need. I liked the old-world vibe of the hotel, the carpeted lobby, the broad stairs, the ancient lift... much more elegant and spacious than modern hotels. The lift alone is worth seeing. My room was again spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was really good, there was a lot of variety, I particularly liked the various bread options and the excellent coffee. Definitely include the breakfast in your reservation, you won't regret it. Staff were generally helpful and professional, there were one or two surly ones though.

The first room assigned to me was in the top (penthouse) floor and it was really hot and sticky in there (early September, weather was nice). The A/C wasn't working in the room and they couldn't fix it. Afterwards I requested to transfer to a room in a lower floor and it was cool and AC was working. Another issue was there was no minibar in the first room, although it was included on booking.com. They said the top 2 floors were recently renovated and the hotel was still expecting the minibars for those rooms. Hopefully that will be resolved soon.

Located right next to the Copenhagen Central Station, the hotel is perfectly located for train travellers, and central copenhagen is a 5-10min walk away. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is good, and the hotel bar (The Library Bar) is, in itself, worth visiting for.

Everything at the hotel seems old-fashioned and worn, with a bit of "faded grandeur" - to me, that just adds to the charm, but your mileage may vary.

The staff were good. We had a very small room and l was able to get moved to a little bigger room, which made all the difference. Location was great, very close to station and the city sites.

The hotel gave us directions from the airport. They were not very clear to tell us we should not get on the metro train.. we had to catch the country train service.

Location was very convenient for the central train station and Hop On Hop Off and within walking distance to many of the popular sights. The hotel decor is traditional with character which I like. Our basic twin room was very spacious. Tivoli Food Hall was right across the street where we ate several times. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The bed was comfortable but a second choice of pillow would be nice because not everyone likes a thin soft pillow.

The only issue was we had a room with a tub/shower combination but there was no stopper in the tub so we could only use the shower, not a big deal. We did notify the front desk but never did get a plug for the tub, maybe because it was a weekend? The bathroom was roomy but in need of renovation (chipped tiles, stains)

The location was excellent just across the street from the train station and Tivoli Gardens. Note: area around the train station was lovely. I was able to walk to most museums and attractions. The hotel is charming, the rooms large, beds comfortable and lovely staff. I did not eat breakfast. Within a very short walk there are excellent bakeries, a small grocery store, restaurants and cafes. Tivoli has a food hall just across the street with many options.

The only negative (and in my case I was not bothered) you hear the people and music from Tivoli with the windows open. It quiet after 11 pm when it closes.

Very well placed for access by public transport to all other areas. The breakfast was good with great variety; the staff were friendly and always helpful. We had two excellent evening meals in the restaurant.

The lift is temperamental and my friend finds stairs difficult. The whole place could do with some refurbishing- furniture in my room was scuffed, carpet stained and worn. In my friend’s room the shower fitting was too high for her to adjust (she is small). But the beds were comfortable! Being in a heavy tourist spot (by the Tivoli gardens and the central station)was difficult for me, but my friend was quite happy with that.

Such a perfect hotel for an anniversary trip to see Copenhagen - right across from the station and in the centre of Copenhagen, while also feeling elegant and restful inside. The staff always went above and beyond to help us and to provide helpful recommendations. Rooms are big with comfy (quite soft) beds and space to stretch out. Our room had a picturesque view over Tivoli and the City Hall. Breakfast provides a nice array of options. It is special to stay at a place where so many film and musical stars have stayed. The historic and well kept elevator and murals on each floor are also wonderful. Great shower too!

It was great - no complaints.

Inside of the building was very nice with the wall panelling and 100 year old lift, which was lovely. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, all speaking English to us. Room was comfortable and decor was in fitting with the buildings age. Excellent location for Copenhagen Central train and metro, so a very easy journey from the airport, 12 mins via the train link and the hotel 2 min walk. Reception were happy to hold our luggage after our room check out time on the final day and before we left for our journey home. Good central location, across the road from Tivoili.I

We ate in the restaurant one evening, very nice setting but the staff were a bit snooty and not very friendly. We did not bother using it again. I don't know what the breakfast set up was like. Our room was 3rd floor and facing the railway lines, so you could hear the trains and also feel the vibration of them passing. Quite noisy at times with the braking as they entered the station but it did not disturb us overnight particularly, less trains etc. You would not be able to have the balcony door open because of the noise so may be an issue during warmer periods. Room did have air con.
