Everything from checking in to checking out was excellent. You can check in/out online before you arrive/depart or do it at reception via an automated system or at the reception desk with a member of staff. All the staff from reception to breakfast staff to the housekeeping team were polite and always happy to help. Communication prior to arriving was very good. The hotel was easy to find immediately outside the train station. The room was clean and had everything you would need, toiletries, hairdryer, comfortable bed, TV, and most importantly, in January when I visited Copenhagen the room was warm. There was ample hot water for a shower. Breakfast was excellent with more than ample choice and quantity of food no matter what time you go for breakfast. In reception you can help yourself to tea/coffee and fruit 24/7 as there are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. The reception area has some comfortable seating where you can be served a soft or alcoholic drink for a reasonable cost by staff or help yourself to a complimentary hot drink. There is a luggage store available where you can store your luggage for free before you check into your room or after you have checked out in the reception area.

There really was not anything I could fault with the hotel, staff and facilities. The only thing that wasn't in the room that I would have liked was a combination safe for valuables.

Location was excellent for our needs as the hotel is only a few steps from the main train station, some noise can be heard due to this but there are ear plugs provided if required. The room was a little small but clean with comfortable beds. There was also a good selection of food for breakfast.

Although we were advised that our room was ready when we arrived 2 hours before the stated check in time an early check in fee of 300DKK was applicable. We chose to wait until the 3pm check in and leave our luggage in the storeroom however a small fee of 30DKK was needed for this service.

It’s old charm. Good location, good breakfast, including the ginger shots! Decent sized towels. Friendly staff.

I didn’t mind the rumbling of trains. And while I was not in a room on the train track side of the building but the opposite, there seemed to be lots of people about until the early hours making lots of partying/drunken noise, plus motorcycles screaming up and down! That’s not something you can control though. Probably could have done with a duvet that covered the bed properly, not a single one on a double bed.

I liked the style and feel of the place, it was not highly modern but charming with wooden furniture and art deco interior. Large shower, a good bed and a nice breakfast, and the location is unbeatable. I did not have any issues with hearing the sounds of the trains going by. I want to try the bar next time.

A few breakfast items (the scrambled eggs) were not of amazing quality, and the coffee was just standard filter coffee, but otherwise, it satisfied my breakfast needs.

Location is great, breakfast was good and the matress(bed) was good.

The carpet in the rooms and corridor looks old/tired and dirty, curtains in the rooms are bad and air quality was poor in the room itself. As the hotel is really close to the central train station there is no chance to open the window for inproving air quality in the room. Another thing I was annoyed by is that you have to pay for a self service luggage room where you leave your luggage for a short period of time on your departure/arrival. I paid over 44 DKK for an hour for three bags. It is not a huge amount but rather an annoying thing. Just make this a part of the price of the hotelroom.

We liked the emphasis on sustainability and lack of waste and think that the hotel should rate much higher on booking.com’s sustainability rating. No cleaning unless you ask for it and they (threaten to) charge you if you leave food at breakfast. The breakfast has a ginormous selection of mostly healthy choices. The building is old so probably not well insulated by modern standards, and the rooms are somewhat small for the very large double beds, but the most sustainable building is the one that is there already.

We slept very well, but if you are noise sensitive, you would need earplugs because of the noise from the railway and also, at the weekend, from the impressive free firework display from the Tivoli Gardens if your room is over the front!

Great central location for first visit to Copenhagen for a solo traveller. Breakfast was very good, fresh and lots on offer. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and room/bed was comfy for a 6 night stay. Great to have a balcony also! Also handy having central station next door for a trip to Malmo 😀 Also a few travellers mentioned it was noisy surprisingly I found it to be very quiet considering how close the station was (I was on level 3). This was a great base for me to walk to all the main attractions with hop on hop off buses close by also.

The ability to adjust the room temperature was not possible, did get a little stuffy in the evenings.

The location was brilliant as I was travelling by train but was also good for sightseeing. I walked everywhere. I loved the old fittings that were still in place - the revolving door & the uniform closet. These gave the place a very comfortable feel. The staff were all helpful. Breakfast staff worked particularly hard - there was a huge selection of food available. Free water’ tea & coffee in the lobby was another appreciated extra. I had a very informative email from the hotel prior to my arrival covering many details. This was very useful.

There didn’t seem to be enough places at breakfast for the number of guests in the hotel. Even when I came down early, there was a shortage of empty spaces. Perhaps an overspill area could be created.

-I have to start with the building, which is an absolute gem and a protected historic monument in the art deco-stylized shape of a locomotive; the interior everywhere is authentic art deco with fascinating details originating from the hotel hosting primarily conductors as it's core clientele, such as the uniform wardrobes on the entrance doors of the rooms -Friendly and helpful personnel -Central location close to the Tivoli Park and right next to the central train station -Complimentary breakfast -Cozy lobby area with a cocktail bar

-The breakfast room gets totally crowded during peak hours and it is almost impossible to find a table, for the two mornings I was there basically I could only take a coffee and a bite and go in the lobby room; there is also no bacon being served; -The bathrooms are somewhat basic and could be maintained better; -The noise isolation is good, but you still have to take into account that the hotel is located literally in front of the tracks leading to the central train station, so be prepared for some noise; however, it must be also noted that there are earplugs provided in the room -The luggage storage room is paid, which in combination with the rather tight check-in hours is not the guest-friendliest solution

Very close to the central station and shops. Friendly staff, clean, great breakfast. The ambience and the history of the hotel was a nice touch. View was nice, I could tell the time by looking at the station clock from my window.

Would love a kettle in the room (but there's plenty of free tea/coffee/fruits in the lobby).
