This hotel is amazing and I cannot fault any aspect of my stay. If you get a chance to stay here I would highly recommend it. Great value for money. From the amazing, friendly, accommodating staff to the location, the views, decor, the room with its layout, inclusions and technology - all brilliant. They have thought of everything to make a short or long stay cozy & comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with options to suit most / all cultures and diets / dietary requirements. There is ample space and seating options for guests to sit in the 24 hour lounge and read, work, grab a snack or socialise. I didn’t feel out of place sitting there to read my book at night sipping my wine. No pressure on guests to purchase food / drinks to use the lounge - just a great space to hang out. Location is within walking distance to most of the top tourist attractions, in fact, I’d highly recommend (weather permitting) that you take a walk around the local streets of this hotel to view the beautiful and amazing architecture. Close to the Tivoli Gardens, breath of other restraunts, quaint / quirky shops, local designers, shopping and convenience stores.

I’ve stayed at a few citizenm hotels and have loved every stay. This was no different and I loved my time there- seamless check in, impeccable service and fantastic location right by Radhusplasen and a 5 min walk to Tivoli gardens with tons of restaurants and cafes all around. I travelled as a solo female, came back late and never had any concerns about safety whatsoever. The room was also lovely with amazing scented soaps (I loved it so much I actually googled if they’re available for purchase after, alas they aren’t!). Highly recommended- I’ve friends coming in the next few months and they’ve reserved with the hotel too:)

The hotel was inconspicuous at first. Reception was on the 7th floor. Greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Given room key and jug of soda to take up to my room. I knew ahead of time that the room would be small but it was well thought out and adequate as I was traveling alone. Room was bright, clean and had all the needed essentials that are important to me: a comfortable big bed, mini fridge and coffee maker. Everything was controlled via an iPad… lights, blinds, temperature settings etc. Location of the property was excellent within 5-7 minute walk from train station. Lots of coffee places, restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby.

The room was so well thought out and comfortable but I was not happy that there were no phone charges anywhere near the bed. You had to get up out of bed to get to your phone which was a pain.

We stayed 4 nights in room 527. We were upgraded with no fuss to this bigger room upon request, the overall size of the rooms in the hotel are on the small size - part of the branding. The shower and bed are huge, the towels large & fluffy and the toiletries were quite nice. The room features (lights, climate control, tv, blinds, curtains) are all controlled via an in-room iPad. This worked well. It was kind of fun to play with the colors of the lights. There was a problem with the tv turning off and going black, just not working. I put this in the "things you liked" space because of the outstanding response of the hotel staff in trying to fix it. While they rebooted the system (which took an hour) we were treated to a drink in the bar. When the problem persisted the next day, we were comped breakfast for our remaining two days. It wasn't just the niceties that were appreciated, it was the staff and their attitude. Definitely above and beyond. We also requested an extra chair for the room so we both could sit somewhere other than on the bed and they quickly found us one and brought it up to the room. The photos are of the first room we were given, 525, the room we moved to, 527, was about five feet wider - made a big difference in moveable space for us. The bathrooms were identical. The photo with the towers is looking out from the 7th floor bar/lounge.

The only thing we didn't enjoy was that we had to get out of bed at the 'bottom' to avoid having one person have a side and the other having to go over them to get out during the night. Honestly we got used to it and it wasn't a problem. The beds are square (very nice large beds and comfortable too) and have walls or a built in desk on all but one side.

The hotel is in the perfect location - in the city centre and close to the Metro! The hotel was kind enough to upgrade our room as it was one of our birthdays. The room was big with a king size bed and an amazing view! We enjoyed being able to control the room via the iPad. It was very straight forward and easy to use. The bar upstairs did nice food and cocktails. Also, there are free umbrellas and luggage storage at the entrance. I would recommend this hotel and if I ever return to Copenhagen we will be staying again!

Modern comfortable, well thought out design, and every bit of space was well used. This room will stand out for the use of technology, everything controlled from an iPad which I really liked, clever touches such as changing the lighting in many different colours, operating the blinds and the TV. The room was compact but so comfortable and clean. I loved the option to choose a room on either side and high/low floor. Will definitely seek out a CitizenM when choosing a hotel in the future.

Nothing

I loved the location of the hotel, it was very central and close to everything. The room was smaller than expected and very compact, but it had everything we needed including a small fridge so nothing to complain about really. We choose a room at the back so it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and I liked that everything was remote controlled. The breakfast was excellent; plenty of choice for everyone and great cappuccino made by a barista, which was great. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel where everything is done electronically, from check in to the lights in the room. It was a new experience for me, but one I enjoyed and would definitely come back. The staff were always on hand if you needed help, so you were not left wondering what to do if you got confused!

The room was a little cosier than expected

The room itself was smaller than I’m accustomed to, but was large enough that I didn’t miss the extra floor space. The location is great for hitting Copenhagen’s downtown museums too (highly recommend hitting the Copenhagen Museum for the model of CPH on the top floor!). I did not eat breakfast with the hotel (upcharge, ew), but can recommend Next Door Cafe, about two blocks NW of citizenM, as a cozy and quirky start to your day.

citizenM went all-in on smart rooms via their iPads or apps. However, neither of these control surfaces is fast to use - the in-room iPad took about 30 seconds to be ready to make a change (and didn’t actually expose as many options as the app on my own phone did). The motors for the electric shades, both the day and night shades, are loud as well, and loud enough that I could hear my neighbors opening or closing their shades as they went about their day.

Great location, very modern (too modern for our taste) Breakfast very good. Staff friendly. Lovely view and nice seats on top floor balconies. Issues were resolved. Very hip and cool looking.

Very expensive. -Stay, breakfast and bar. All do it your self by ipad. Very buisness orientated, that is probably good for most, but didnt work for us. No sauna or any spa facility. Bed is by the window, you cant walk around it. Bathroom and shower /wc is separated and narrows room space and privacy. We had to book on short notice so we chose the location. Nice place, just not to our taste and budget.

Overall, the accommodation was excellent — thanks to its location, very friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, and also the price (compared to other accommodation in Copenhagen). We stayed on the 4th floor with windows facing a busy street, but despite that, we didn’t hear any noise thanks to the good soundproofing of the windows. We did the check-in/out ourselves using a machine (although the staff were available and helpful if needed). The room was controlled via a tablet (I think they were just introducing this system): temperature, TV, curtains, lights — everything could be adjusted through the tablet. We could also choose via the tablet whether and when we wanted cleaning, breakfast, or even a late check-out. It was great! You should keep in mind that the rooms are quite small and the bathroom is kind of “inserted” into the room. However, this is clearly written in the accommodation description. We will choose the same hotel in case od our next visit. Thanks :)
