People at the reception were all friendly. One guy spoke also Italian. The hotel is close to the Intemodalbus station where you arrive with the airport shuttle bus. From the hotel you can either walk for 20 minutes to reach the center or walk for less than 10 minutes and take the underground for a couple of metro stations. We usually chose to walk.Close to the hotel there is a big supermarket where to buy all necessary food and drinks.I would suggest to move to downtown for dinner anyway. Our room, 608, is completely new and essential.

Nothing critical, but the bathroom was split in three parts: shower, wc and a very very small basin. Breakfast could be improved in quality and variety.

It is a cute small personable hotel. You have to understand why you are staying there. It is a good value compare to other hotels near the center. 25 min stroll to the main area, the center and the old town. The surrounding area is very local, small bars, coffee and eateries( we like to be away from main tourist areas). The train to center is right there but we did not used it. The lobby is tables and stools. There is a breakfast area and it is all very pleasant, but not a bar or lounge per se.. There is wifi but it did not work in our bedroom. The bedroom is pretty small with no real closet, not really bathroom but nicely design, great shower and comfortable bed. An extra point for ability to open the window for fresh air and great air conditioning!

The bed was very comfortable and wide enough for two persons. The room was very quiet. The shower is nice and wide. The breakfast is adequately assorted and the kitchen team keeps up with the demand. Wifi works very well and is fast and available all over the place. Parking slots are sizable, althoug entrance is a bit complicated for SUVs, specially when exiting.

There is no real desk (althoug this is not supposed to be a business hotel) but this applies to any surface in the room, all of them are a bit too small for the expected task. My wife hates rooms with small hangers instead of a wardrobe, but it works for a one night stay. The shower takes a bit of time to reach a comfortable temperature, unless you like cold showers :-)

Lift was a good size for wheelchair access. Bedroom and bathroom, including doorways, were good for wheelchair access. Bed was quite low for somebody in a wheelchair. However, it was comfortable. Accessible bathroom was very good indeed. Parking is an issue for a wheelchair accessible van. Roof height of hotel parking facility is 2.1 m. My van is 2.4 m!

Would have preferred a higher bed. However, there was room underneath the bed for a hoist to slide underneath. The bed itself is on 4 legs with ample space beneath it. Hotel parking facility can only accommodate a vehicle roof height of 2.1 m. Details of local parking facilities for vehicles with a roof height larger than 2.4 m would be helpful. If the hotel held information about the local disabled parking bays, that would be helpful. Many of the disabled parking bays need advanced parking applications. However, the receptionist at the hotel did do their best.

Location was great, close to Bilbao Intermodal. All hotel premises were very clean and well maintained. The breakfast exceeded expectations for a 1* hotel, it was minimalist but very tasty. The reception staff, Raluca and all her colleagues, were very polite and cheerful.

Some pieces of furniture in the room may not have the best design: for example the folding table placed above the corner of the bed, when open, it blocks access to the other side of the room. The nightstands were quite narrow, I could barely place a large tablet on them.

Staff were very friendly, helpful, and had a great knowledge of other languages. Our room and the whole hotel were very clean and in good condition. Continental breakfast was good with lots of choice. Didn't feel like we were settling for second best due to it being a "budget hotel".

The only slight negative was location- out of the main centre - but this didn't really matter as there were great transport links and a metro station at the bottom of the street. Definitely purchase a Barak Card for travel on trains, buses, trams and the Transporter Bridge.

Great location in Bilbao Centre, handy to everything Trains, Tams and Buses. Short ride on Tram to No 1 Bilbao attraction Guggenheim Museum. The Staff is also the key ingredient for your stay and the Ibis Bilbao Staff are exceptional. My Wife and I have been World travellers for decades and stayed in a huge variety of accommodation, this gives us we believe a certain edge when handing out comments. A big thank you all of the Ibis lovely people - Julem, Adriel, Nerea,Xavier, Andrea, Javier, Hailin, Ibon, Laura and their Manager Cecilia. Apologies for name spelling and any of the Marvellous Staff that we have left out.

You can’t fault the Ibis Bilbao. It’s not Five Star, however it has all the attributes of a 5 Star Hotel and all for the Right Budget friendly price.

The undoubted advantage is that the hotel is basically new. The interiors are clean and not damaged. The room is quite pleasant as for the budget version. The original solution is that there is no separate bathroom - shower cubicle and small sink are exactly in the living room. It's good that the toilet is quite isolated and closed ;) Breakfast is quite ok. We only missed some, at least one vegetable. There is not that close to the old town and the main city center, but the tram and trains are just around the corner and really at a good price. Buy a Barik Card and you will be nicely surprised. On the other hand it is just 5min walk from the Bus station, so it depends what are your needs.

The hotel is within walking distance from the bus station what was very important for me. The tram stop is very close to the hotel - this is the nice way to get to the old town if one does not want to walk. Breakfast was ok - several types of ham, sausages, pastries. Remember to get a hair dryer at the reception during check-in.

It would be nice to have more soundproof walls. Would be nice to have vegetables included into breakfast choises.

The hotel location is excellent - close to the intermodal node of the city and a bus to Bilbao airport. The hotel was cosy. Breakfast is OK for its price.

Rooms are small, even for Ibis standards. Its only significant issue is a window orientation to small inner yard, which completely ruins privacy if blind is up. Breakfast is OK, as I said, but, considering several meat and cheese options, it would be great to add some vegetable.
