We like the hotel overall and enjoyed a nice dinner there one evening. It's well located for Whitechapel tube station.

We were disappointed with the room, particularly the location of the bed, which is only accessible on one side. We did request an "accessible" bed because my husband and I suffer with knee and hip problems, so it's not ideal. We stayed here a month earlier and we were given an accessible room and it was fantastic for us, which made us re-book for this visit. We did request this for this reservation, but sadly, we didn't get it. The bathroom also was quite compact, which is ok, except that the whole floor became totally wet making it uncomfortable when you wanted to go back in! A wet room is ok if there is enough room, but not for a small compact room. We will probably not book here again because of this.

If it were not for the lovely Khadija Begum, your Duty Manager, and the lovely girls at the front desk—including the delightful trainee who checked me in—you would not have received the ratings I gave. Unfortunately, I had an accident on Monday afternoon, which left me with a fractured left elbow and a severely fractured right wrist, clearly limiting my mobility. I needed to return to The Royal Hospital on Wednesday and had to move hotels, as the one I had been staying in was fully booked. I chose the New Road Hotel due to its location. Khadija went above and beyond the call of duty—helping me to my room, taking my luggage, assisting with opening my case, bringing me water and a straw, and kindly letting me know she would inform the staff on the next shift about my limitations. The following morning, Khadija once again assisted me—this time with storing my luggage. The darling even brushed my hair when I asked her to, remaining completely professional throughout. Having worked in hospitality myself—with a team of 48 staff—I can honestly say not one of them matched the star quality Khadija has. She is a real asset to your team and earns a 20/10 from me!!!!!

I stay in east London a few times a year and this is my new favorite hotel! It had A/C!!! The facility was safe, clean, and modern, while also being affordable. The breakfast included was spectacular! The staff was kind and always available to help, even when I couldn't get my safe to reopen. And the bed, oh, the bed! And black-out shades! Some of the best sleep I've ever gotten on vacation. Rooms are small, but they have everything you need. It was also surprisingly quiet, definitely the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in when in London. Yet, the location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from the Tube station. I will absolutely be staying here from now on!

It wasn't a big deal, but the shower head could be closer to the opposite wall (or the floor more tilted maybe) to keep water from covering most of the bathroom floor. It's a very cool design, but I needed extra towels to sop up after showers. Again, definitely not worth complaining about, but just to mention.

The staff were fab. As soon as we arrive at the hotel they helped us sort our luggage out in the luggage storage and when we returned they helped us carry it to the room. Each floor has something different for a library to a gym. Fab roof terrace perfect for a chill or enjoy the sunshine. Room was so clean ! Bed was so comfortable, air con, lovely windows shower was not very powerful but a huge bathroom with complementary products. Very minimal storage space. Compemantry coffee and hot chocolate perfect addition!! Huge TV and plenty chargers, great getting ready space. The breakfast was very different to what we have experienced before. You choose from a menu of maybe 8 options. 6 options were no extra charge and 2 had additional charge. You could also get crossiants which were very tasty, toast and fruit for free. The hot drinks options were nor the best you could get a plain coffee for free but it was awful or you could pay extra for other coffee options. The portions sizes for the menu options were quite small apart from the full English breakfast. Brilliant transport link two tube stations within 10 minutes.

The hotel was amazing and these are very small things. The showers power was not the best The portion sizes for the breakfast were small. I thought the extra charge for different coffee was unnecessary.

Breakfast was a choice from the menu. It was tasty. The room was quite small, the bathroom was part of the room, separated by a glass partition. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. I appreciate the opportunity to have dinner at the hotel, which we did. The chef was excellent. The staff at the reception was very nice. Very nice ground floor with a relaxation area and a restaurant.. Tube station is close to the hotel.

The bed was not very comfortable. After opening the window, there was a view of the workers right next door, you could talk to them directly. So it's better not to open it. Room was to small, but nice, and for short stay good enough.

Nice hotel, easy to find, clean, comfy bed, lovely shower. Really liked the self service drinks machine in the hall on each floor, terrace upstairs nice to sit out, good air con, lovely breakfast. Great and friendly staff. Hotel itself nice and quiet, as it was fairly busy, but didn't really hear other guests. Definitely worth visiting and hoping to visit and stay here again.

Not hotel itself, so nothing to do with the hotel or staff, but overwhelming cacophony of smells from the outside. I have an extremely acute sense of smell and I'm very sensitive to them, and of course the location of the hotel and the proximity of all the local shops and the market, meant that I forgot and opened the window, and was flooded with the smells, which took couple hours to clear with air con. I just wasn't prepared for it, but will know for next time. Wish the terrace maybe had a late night bar opened in the Summer months.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I also loved the room design - it was stylish and well thought out. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would recommend this hotel to others.

There are a few areas that could be improved. It would be great if the hotel provided black tea ( such as Earl Grey ) in addition to white tea as part of the amenities. I also noticed an unpleasant smell in the library area where the coffee machine was located - better ventilation would help. Another issue was the window in my room; completely covered with frosted stickers, making the space feel a bit claustrophobic. I would have preferred curtains, allowing guests to look outside and to get some fresh air. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, but a few small changes could make it even better.

Lovely hotel and staff plus very clean. Outside of the hotel was a bit not to my liking but that’s not anyone’s fault from the hotel. Nice parts and bad parts everywhere. Especially in London! Great location for the underground though. Me and son had a great weekend. I’d definitely recommend the hotel for a central location. We didn’t get that long in the hotel. As we went to watch England at Wembley Friday then the UFC at the o2 Saturday! Breakfast was lovely, rooms and design of the place was smart! I’d have liked to had an evening meal but never had time or there!!

Outside was a bit run down. Away from the hotel The rest was 10/10

Cons: - Jacuzzi bath lights didn’t work - Bed was personally a bit too hard for me - Internet wasn’t working so only had local tv/radio (which was fine, I should’ve mentioned it to the staff members but was fine to just chill) - Full English Breakfast was disappointing Pros: - Super friendly and helpful staff - Very clean - Air con actually works and feels amazing - Jacuzzi bath and shower felt incredible - Was given extra pillows as requested and they were super comfy - Food in downstairs restaurant for dinner was delicious, calamari was the best I’ve ever had - Drinks are also delicious, all mocktails are good but will defo try a cocktail next time - Service is really good - Games room only has pool table and arcade fighting machine but both provide solid entertainment - Quality of place overall lives up to 4* standards

I recently stayed at the New Road Hotel in Whitechapel, London, and was thoroughly impressed.
