Great location. Easy access to the main attractions just a short walk. Enough parking spaces mostly, and they offer street parking option if no spaces. Breakfast was mostly great. Last day they didn’t top it up as quickly as the other breakfast but the food offered was tasty and great selection! Swimming pool and sauna/steamroom/jacuzzi were a nice touch. Bedroom clean, comfortable bedding and bathroom with everything you need. Nice touch having hot chocolate! Staff mostly approachable, most with a lot of knowledge and restaurant staff mostly great too.

Small bedroom, small bathroom (but both practical)! Television channels very random (bbc 1 was around number 28!)!! Bedroom window only opens small way, and air con in room wasn’t really cold (just an air blower!). Public toilets dirty. Swimming pool changing rooms dirty. Breakfast not always hot and not always refilled quickly. Too many “is your stay 10” cards everywhere. (If you have them out then you need to act on them.. for example breakfast not being replenished quickly!).

The room was lovely, very clean, bed was really comfortable. The dinner menu was good and breakfast exceptional.

We went Friday to Tuesday, on the Sunday we had to wait nearly an hour for our dinner as there was only one waitress and she was serving in both the bar and the Restaurant. Then on Monday evening, when we went down for dinner, we were told, due to a coach of people arriving for a buffet dinner the existing Guests could only sit in the bar for their dinner. This was not acceptable and a a few of us complained and were seated in the restaurant amongst the coach people. The restaurant should have made the existing guests aware of this at breakfast, not dealt with professionally.

The hotel was excellent with all amenities enjoyed steam and sauna and swimming pool with good service from all staff. Hotel is clean and hygiene is excellent 👌

Location is ideal for to do sight seen just 10 min walk to gun wharf quays harbour and 10 min walk to sea front.

Excellent breakfast with a complete spread of American and Continental options, really spoilt for choice. Very polite and professional service from all staff - in the bar, restaurant, front desk and housekeeping. Great location, close to the Southsea beach and Clarence Pier, and walking distance to other tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. Well-lit and expansive seating area downstairs near the foyer set up with numerous wall powerpoints; this made it convenient to come out of the hotel room and sit downstairs to work comfortably in nice surrounds with computer and accessories plugged in. Appreciated this as we stayed there for 7 nights during which I had to complete some work as well. Clean room, comfortable bed, and good in-room facilities. All up, an enjoyable stay and would definitely choose it again.

The room could have been a bit more spacious for a double room, especially for longer stays - but it was still manageable because we could spend time downstairs in the bar/restaurant area.

Clean rooms and staffs were friendly. Absolute plus was the bar downstairs with late night dinner available. Kids even got ice lollipops, during check-in, thought it was a great gesture considering the hot weather that day. Typical English breakfast was nice. Swimming pool & other facilities was well looked after Only a 30min walk to the southsea beach, and the coastal walk was refreshing.

Every things was great. This info. is only for others to read instructions carefully, which we didn’t. Swimming pool is open for kids only till 8pm on weekdays, and then 8-10pm is for adults only. Son was a bit disappointed, but it was our fault.

Great service, clean room, great quality food at dinner and breakfast, good location close to the beach, pier and bus stops which makes it quick to get into the city centre, great facilities (pool, sauna, steam room), will definitely stay again if we are in the area

Was informed that I did not need to book a table for dinner and arrived to find that the restraunt had been booked out by a large party and therefore we struggled to find a table, the first night of our stay the pool was closed, which meant we had to change our plans dramatically as we were only staying for one night and the pool was one of the main reasons we booked this location, we did get to swim the next morning but it was a more rushed experience than we would have liked

The room was fine apart from the access to the bathroom which was difficult due to one not being able to open the door fully. This is due to the design of the bathroom, the door when being opened hit the toilet limiting the opening considerably, a larger person would not have managed to get in comfortably. the food was generally good although the garden peas with the fish and chips were not properly heated up. Breakfast food was good but some items tended to run out. The central location was excellent for the places we wanted to visit.

Excellent customer service - the staff were brilliant every time we interacted with them. Our little one loved the pool, the colouring table, and looking at the fish in the pond. Location was excellent for Portsmouth amenities and for public transport.

We booked a cot and arrived late at night to find there wasn't one in our room and all the others were in use. The staff were extremely apologetic, but our toddler had to sleep in with us.for the first night. We did get a cot for the following evenings, as well as complimentary food and drinks.

We had a premium room with a sea view, however the room was smaller than expected. The room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was firm but comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast provided at the hotel and thought it was good quality. The Hotel was handy for local facilities, ie taking a stroll along the seafront, and accessing restaurants, cafes etc.

we thought much of the seating in the bar whether a chair or sofa were a bit uncomfortable. The bar could do with some nice soft and comfy chairs and sofas. The bar area looked nice and inviting, it served an array of drinks, however, you couldn't seem to order a cocktail.

The location is excellent for visiting the city and enjoying the waterfront. Staff were polite, efficient, cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was a good selection of 'full English' and continental and in plentiful supply. The room was clean and comfortable and serviced daily as one would expect. Overall this was a good value stay and I would recommend this particular hotel to others looking to stay in the city.

The only downside was the size of the bathroom. It was rather small and a bit of a squeeze but then again noone plans to spend much time in there so perhaps it's not really an issue.
