Great location. Easy access to the main attractions just a short walk. Enough parking spaces mostly, and they offer street parking option if no spaces. Breakfast was mostly great. Last day they didn’t top it up as quickly as the other breakfast but the food offered was tasty and great selection! Swimming pool and sauna/steamroom/jacuzzi were a nice touch. Bedroom clean, comfortable bedding and bathroom with everything you need. Nice touch having hot chocolate! Staff mostly approachable, most with a lot of knowledge and restaurant staff mostly great too.

Small bedroom, small bathroom (but both practical)! Television channels very random (bbc 1 was around number 28!)!! Bedroom window only opens small way, and air con in room wasn’t really cold (just an air blower!). Public toilets dirty. Swimming pool changing rooms dirty. Breakfast not always hot and not always refilled quickly. Too many “is your stay 10” cards everywhere. (If you have them out then you need to act on them.. for example breakfast not being replenished quickly!).

The hotel was excellent with all amenities enjoyed steam and sauna and swimming pool with good service from all staff. Hotel is clean and hygiene is excellent 👌

Location is ideal for to do sight seen just 10 min walk to gun wharf quays harbour and 10 min walk to sea front.

Excellent breakfast with a complete spread of American and Continental options, really spoilt for choice. Very polite and professional service from all staff - in the bar, restaurant, front desk and housekeeping. Great location, close to the Southsea beach and Clarence Pier, and walking distance to other tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. Well-lit and expansive seating area downstairs near the foyer set up with numerous wall powerpoints; this made it convenient to come out of the hotel room and sit downstairs to work comfortably in nice surrounds with computer and accessories plugged in. Appreciated this as we stayed there for 7 nights during which I had to complete some work as well. Clean room, comfortable bed, and good in-room facilities. All up, an enjoyable stay and would definitely choose it again.

The room could have been a bit more spacious for a double room, especially for longer stays - but it was still manageable because we could spend time downstairs in the bar/restaurant area.

Staff friendly, close to all amenities, good breakfast

Coffee stains on the carpet in the room, paid for parking in hotel and could not get a space, coffee at breakfast had a weird bitter taste.

We had a premium room with a sea view, however the room was smaller than expected. The room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was firm but comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast provided at the hotel and thought it was good quality. The Hotel was handy for local facilities, ie taking a stroll along the seafront, and accessing restaurants, cafes etc.

we thought much of the seating in the bar whether a chair or sofa were a bit uncomfortable. The bar could do with some nice soft and comfy chairs and sofas. The bar area looked nice and inviting, it served an array of drinks, however, you couldn't seem to order a cocktail.

The location is excellent for visiting the city and enjoying the waterfront. Staff were polite, efficient, cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was a good selection of 'full English' and continental and in plentiful supply. The room was clean and comfortable and serviced daily as one would expect. Overall this was a good value stay and I would recommend this particular hotel to others looking to stay in the city.

The only downside was the size of the bathroom. It was rather small and a bit of a squeeze but then again noone plans to spend much time in there so perhaps it's not really an issue.

Friendly staff. Good location. We enjoyed all the historical locations around the hotel! Delicious breakfast (but you need to wake up early🥴 if you want to get enough food). Delicious croissants! My husband was delighted with them.😋 Swimming pool and sauna 😍 We'll be back 😀

No fridge in the room. When you stay more than 1 day it's uncomfortable. There is no seat at the tables when you arrive an hour before breakfast is over and there is basically no more food. You wait a long time. So it's better to get up early (what is a sham if you have a holiday 🤷‍♀️) and come as soon as breakfast starts.

Check-in: Really pleasant and patient staff; superbly turned-out. Room: Superb bed and linens. It all felt as good as being at home. Breakfast options - could stay all day there scoffing! Fantastic selection and super hard-working staff. The restaurant was immaculate and very welcoming.

In the room:- TV: Needs online options e.g. YouTube Lights: Wall switches are bit oddly placed making a game of it... No USB charger sockets :-( Breakfast closes at 10:30 on a weekend which is a bit too early. Parking: the extra £5 on top is a bit mean given the price of the room. Could also have done with clearer notice of parking times (and breakfast for that matter).

We are familiar with the area and know that the hotel is Ideally situated for a visit to Southsea and Portsmouth attractions generally. The Seafront is easily accessible and if you want to get around the area, it is easy enough to walk or take the bus rather than drive. The staff were friendly and the pool looked inviting - we'll try it next time. The breakfast had plenty of options and the bar meals were also very good with food available all day. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and warm.

The carpark was pretty full and very tight in places, especially if you were parking a big car, so I was glad I drove our Fiesta instead. The hotel does warn you about this in advance and has a system whereby you can also park on the street at a discount. The room was cleanish but there were some signs of fluff and threadbare carpet. All things considered though, it was a pleasant stay.

Nice hotel, nice facilities, good location. This room came with a few complimentary snacks presumably part of why it cost 50% more than the previous night!! Breakfast was very nice and a great variety of stuff.

Dodgy heating controls but had a radiator which was presumably installed because of the former. Radiator was actually way better than the blown air heating the night before in a different room. Can't get a bottle under the taps for drinking water so stuck with stupid little glass or going to the bar to fill up. Plus I don't trust drinking from a mixer tap. Leisure facilities are a nice addition.
