We ordered room service for breakfast and it was delicious - especially the coffee. We had tickets for a show at the Budweiser Stage across the street and it was so much fun to watch people show-up for the show from our room. We sat and drank wine in comfort and enjoyed the view - loved the planes landing! Immediately upon arrival the staff were there to guide and offer their services (bottle water while you wait to check-in). Unfortunately our stay was on a cool/rainy day, so we didn't get to try the rooftop pool, but we went to see it and now want to go back on a day where we can make use of this beautiful amenity.

Strangely, there was a pounding noise in the bathroom. We couldn't hear it in the bedroom, but it was very noticeable in the bathroom. Also, I struggled to get the overhead shower spout to work (push, pull, turn) the knob was very stiff. Finally (and this could just be our ignorance) it took us a while to understand that there is one light switch to rule them all! I used the toilet in the dark when I first arrived, cause I couldn't get the bathroom lights to turn on, lol!

From the moment we arrived, everything at Hotel X Toronto was excellent. Ben warmly welcomed us, helped with our luggage, and made a great first impression. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning view. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was reasonably priced with great service. The rooftop pool was a highlight, clean, well-organized, and offering a beautiful view of the CN Tower. At Roses Social, Star and Maria were fantastic, friendly, engaging, and made us feel truly welcomed. Star added a special touch that made the experience even more memorable. A big thank you to Dragan, the manager, who was professional, kind, and gave us great local tips for sightseeing. Only small note: the valet staff could be more warm and welcoming to match the rest of the team. Overall, an outstanding experience. Hotel X fully deserves a 5-star rating, we can’t wait to return!

This hotel was amazing - the design is very nice upon initially entering, it also smells great! The rooms are very clean which I was so appreciative of. I would say they were the cleanest sheets I've seen so far in a hotel. The amenities are great. There is a full gym with a bunch of different weight and cardio machines. There is also a tennis court that you can rent space at and a yoga room. They do have a pool however you need to reserve a time (which seemed kinda annoying so we didn't use it) The views are stunning.

The location isn't the greatest if you are wanting to walk to restaurants and stuff. It's better to use a taxi to get around as the location doesn't have much nearby. It is right by the water though so you are able to go on walking paths.

Lots of reviews say the biggest downsides are the location and pool reservations but I actually enjoyed the positives about these things. Sure, it doesn’t open right up to the rest of downtown, but it’s also easier to access during traffic into the city which we appreciated after a long drive. We’ve spent hours going a few blocks to access other hotels in the city and during this stay, we bypassed most of it. Also, this hotel has a lot of beautiful grounds to enjoy to make up for its isolation. I can see how pool reservation system can be inconvenient, but anyone with experience at rooftop pools knows how stressful and competitive it can get when it’s overpacked. You often end up spending most of your time standing in a corner anxiously waiting for someone to leave for a spot anyways. It was such a relaxing experience to have the entire area empty at the time our reservation started - no musical chairs for a good seat, no time wasted waiting for one to open, no overwhelmed server, no overcrowding. Just two hours of worry free relaxation. My tips: make sure you are there when your reservation starts, and get to the hotel early to be the first to check in to get a prime time slot. There are plenty of places to hang out or catch a drink so you can be first in line.

Only thing I would change is extended hours for the cafe which was closed at 4 when we checked in. Fortunately Roses Social has a coffee bar so this wasn’t that big of a deal.

The 2 hour booking of the pool was not well articulated when booking. We did not know you have to book a time slot. We found out when we arrived. We went to the pool at our specific time and there was no chairs available for 15 mins, we waited because other people went over their time, by then another couple stole the chairs we waited for. It was chaos and we ended up just going to the beach because being told we had 2 hours at the pool was ridiculous.

I my son walked into the doors and immediately said he felt like a celebrity that the hotel was very nice. Even with the hotel being in the heart of downtown it still felt like you were away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown life. The staff was attentive to our needs and ensured that we enjoyed every moment of our stay. When we left and came back they would tell us welcome back and ask how our day was. They genuinely cared about us enjoying our and and ensuring that we had everything we needed to have fun.

I loved everything about the property I have no complaints.

The facilities at this beautiful boutique style hotel are amazing! They have pretty much everything you could ask for (gym, tennis courts, golf simulator, pool, spa, library, cinema, even an art gallery!). One of the restaurants was closed during our stay, but the rest of them were good, even if somewhat on the pricey side (in line with the level of this establishment).The room was very large & had a nice view from the 19th floor. Roof top terrace & Trillium park accross the road give you the best views of Toronto!

You couldn't walk all the way to the centre & there's no convenience shops nearby (they do compensate by giving you a choice of vending machine items located off the lobby). Also, the pool had to be pre-booked due to its fairly small size. Didn't like the fact that there's a sizeable deposit you're expected to pay on arrival in order to cover your expenses (CAD250 per day from memory).

Room service was prompt and excellent. Elevators were quick and efficient during peak times which compared to other hotels they seem to be congested at peak times. They were able to meet my request for early check-in due to our situation, and I was surprised at the upgraded room they gave me. The rooftop pool is a beautiful oasis to enjoy amazing vistas of the downtown Toronto waterfront.

The only thing I wish I could’ve changed was being able to book the rooftop pool time prior to physically being at the hotel. In the end, it all worked out so I was very happy.

Breakfast at roses social was not the best - ordered benny and did not like the orange sauce on the eggs and braised kale was a strange mushy texture, got upset stomach. Cafe across had very nice sandwiches - tried turkey avocado sandwich and it was amazing! Fruit cup - all fruits very sweet and fresh. Valerie - tried cocktails, hot step had a strong mint flavor to it and not carbonated; blueberry/cucumber cocktail was better but both cocktails were a bit watered down, did not try food at valerie - read online reviews and many said food was not good, so did not try. View was amazing. Guerlain spa - was superb! Ordered late night menu to the room from hotel -,burned shrimp w Caesar salad and truffle fries gave me upset stomach - maybe too much truffle oil. Wings were very dry. Played pool in arcade room - great time.

Clean room and nice decor around the hotel.

No mirror to get ready in the room, stood in a bathroom to do hair and make up is less than ideal. Noisy location of our room- directly opposite lifts. Pool staff very stern and not friendly, we felt children weren’t welcome. Every time a slight noise and once my youngest son hurt his head. The man would step into the poolside and glare over, made us feel like we were going to be asked to leave. Not a good atmosphere or welcoming. Decided not to use the pool on our second day due to this feeling.
