Loved the kitchenette

Tight entryway inside room 1 elevator in service during peak breakfast/checkout time

Hotel location is very good being on the edge of downtown. About a five to ten minute walk to St Catherines street as well as Crescent street where there are a number of shops and restaurants. Easy access to the Peel Metro which is about a three minute walk. Museum of Fine Arts is a ten minute walk and had a number of interesting art pieces on display including two Picasso's. Expect to spend about 3 hours at the Museum. Mount Royal is about a 30 minute walk from the hotel, al up hill. The Chalet has a panoramic view of Montreal on the south side of it.

Only two if three elevators were working and at times only one. Elevator doors have a tendency to close quicker than anticipate. This is quite annoying when the car has a quite a few people in it or you are moving luggage.

Old but upgraded

Parking was awkward and expensive ($29!!). Construction of condos immediately across the street.

Location, Equipped kitchenette,Comfortable stay. Great price.

My early drop off luggage in the morning around 07:00 a.m. On 25 July . The staff in his 50 , with mustasche was not smiling , laughing on my face due i asked some questions, as my 1st time was not impressed and I feel like i look stupid for him. And when I ask to drop off luggage, he is supposed to give me the tickets of the bag . I even ask him , "Are you sure i don't need that. He said I am good to go , and he keeps that ticket on him. Very bad, and I hope this should be fixed . It gives a very bad first impression of the Marriott.

I enjoyed my room, although I think part of it was being on a higher floor. The location was decent and I easily walked to where I needed to. I definitely enjoyed that it was less than 10 minutes walking from the bus that takes you directly to and from the airport. Enjoyed their gym, the breakfast was okay and the business center had free printing. Staff was more than happy to help when asked.

The breakfast was fine, there is construction directly outside the main entrance but it didn’t bother us at all, we were able to park at a garage directly behind the hotel for $19 CAD for 24 hours , walking distance to main sites was about 30 minutes, lots of good dining options within minutes from the hotel , previous reviews spoke of elevator issues those have since been rectified, we arrived very early and were able to check in much earlier as our room was ready , room was large and comfortable

Large room, very clean. Location was excellent. Water pressure in the shower was great

Bathroom a little small.Breakfast buffet not much selection, no bacon, hash or limited selection of bread and fruits Room 1401 is beside the housekeeping supplies, people talking or door being shut can be heard even in our bedside. I wish they soundproof the door area. I wish its free parking.

It was right downtown

Elevator service was pretty bad. They had 3 elevators but it was also used for the cleaning staff and the elevator only holds maybe 5 people depending on their size and luggage. A number of them at least one elevator was in service or Not working. The lobby was so crowed all the time that it was hard to ask questions since it could take up to 20 mins or more waiting times. The breakfast was okay but most of the hot food was cold bc the lids don’t stay on. The lineups for the waffle maker is too long I just gave up.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location is great, very safe area. There are many restaurants and shops in walking distance. The Place des Arts is close, so we walked to a concert there and had dinner on the way. The Metro station is around the corner. Hotel itself is very nice. Our room was a king studio with sofa bed and it was a nice size and was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. There was no noise in the night and the air-condition was quite too. We were surprised how well the kitchen was appointed. It looked new. It had stove top, fridge, dishwasher, nice selection of kitchenware. They provided dishwashing liquid, dishwasher pods, kitchen towels. The parking is off site, but it means just around corner. On arrival, we parked in front of the hotel (you can stay 15 minutes). Front desk staff, which was excellent, provided instruction about the garage. We had no problem finding it and the walk back to hotel was 2 minutes. We loved this hotel and will stay there again.

Breakfast buffet had a good selection. The only issue was that there was a big line when we went around 9 am. The staff was having a bit of hard time keeping up with replenishing the food (especially the warm items and coffee). The area with toasters and waffles was fairly small and crowded most of the time. When we came at 7 am next day it was fine, so the time makes a difference. But this was not a big deal for us.
