We had two rooms for one night's stay (family of 2 adults, 2 children). Both were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Large, on-site car park. The pool was a little small for the number of rooms/guests but adequate and there was a playroom which was good for children. We enjoyed looking at the vegetable garden and, overall, we found the hotel very peaceful and relaxing after a long day's driving. There was a good selection at breakfast and a buffet for dinner. The choices were quite limited, however, with few vegetarian and no vegan options.

I often stay in Novotel as a 1 night transit stop during long road trips with my kids. The rooms are always well appointed and clean, the wifi works well and the family rooms provide plenty of space for both me and my kids. The kids areas are full of fun activities including an Xbox 360, teddies with a dress-up station, a table football (babyfoot) and probably more that I am forgetting. The staff were very friendly and the chef made special accommodation for my daughters dietary requirements which was much appreciated.

The pillows aren't comfortable. It seems to be the case in every location and it's always the main thing that bothers me - genuinely if possible consider bringing your own. Also it would be nice to have chromecasts in the rooms instead of terrestrial TV. Not a huge deal but it seems to be a direction other chains are going in.

Breakfast items were varied and enjoyable. The room was well marshalled by welcoming staff. Our room was comfortable and fairly well maintained, although it felt a little airless. We were both very satisfied with the quality of the dinner we had on the evening of our arrival. We both found the interior full of very engaging elements of interior design.

We experienced some minor difficulties because we speak little French. Inevitably, this can create a sense of isolation for some guests. We both accept that it would be unreasonable to expect your entire staff to be fluently multi-lingual. However, you may be able to develop a system whereby such problems may be referred to other staff with the necessary abilities to be resolved, rather than having both guest and staff member floundering when thrust into such systems. Can I make it clear that when these difficulties arose, your staff were patient and good humoured in trying to deal with them.

Location easy to find. Bar and restaurant areas very well decorated and laid out. Room fulfilled our requirements. Staff helpful. I would use again. Chartres is a very pleasant city.

Service at breakfast was acceptable, but being a national holiday perhaps short on staff. Two members looking after the restaurant were kept very busy replenishing food. Long walk into the centre really need to use car.

The main areas of the hotel are very modern and beautiful. The staff is beyond friendly, great customer service. The buffet breakfast is a full breakfast. There's private EV charging right at the hotel, which is very convenient when you're travelling through. Chartres is a beautiful town and worth a stop!

The rooms need a remodel to match the elegance and modernness of the hotel lobby.

The restaurant in particular the menu choices no English menu and it was difficult to translate the dishes into sense. Beef was a type of carpaccio raw accompaniment and burnt fries! Milanese Escalope was too thick deep fried tough and inedible! Vegetable tian a soggy overcooked mess No staff were helpful to assist save one who tried to translate. No near by other restaurants so will not stay again! Very expensive food we couldn’t eat

Spacious modern hotel on outskirts of town. Rooms are a good size and beds comfy. Clean and modern bathroom. Pool area is good with outside seating area. Food was good, staff in generally were friendly and professional.

The hotel is difficult to find, not well signed when arriving by Sat Nav. The bar was short staffed and caused queuing. Nothing nearby but city centre only a short taxi ride away. City centre well worth visiting we had to as restaurant was not open in hotel.

Breakfast very good. Wide range of all usual food items ( including gluten free , essential for my husband ), good space, friendly staff. Relaxed but organised feel to the arrangements. Comfortable seating in open light area. Availability over 4 hours which I think lessened chance of it being too busy and gave a choice of timing to suit individuals. Room and bathroom very clean and big enough, bed comfortable, storage space good. Everything worked, good hot shower and lots of towels. No complaints. Public areas of hotel were very spacious and quiet. Relaxed atmosphere. Lots of parking.

Not sure how breakfast experience could have been improved given the buffet style arrangement. Anything that ran out was quickly replenished from what I could see. Worst thing was unsupervised children helping themselves to food and leaving the area in a mess, dropping food and smashing a glass lid but that's outside Novotel's control. Some other English people were not that happy with dogs being allowed into the dining area but I think it is common in France. Actual hotel room was very good. Only thing was mugs or larger paper cups would have been appreciated for hot drinks as paper cups were very small.

Food was very nice, especially the Cheese! . Breakfast was well worth it, Kids x 3 eat for free. Pool was nice again kids enjoyed it for an hour or so. Service was ok at dinner but seem like they were under a lots of pressure to serve all the tables, I have to ask two or three time for very simple items like an drink, but on the whole staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was nice and close. Rooms were clean and just about ok on size. Very dated bedrooms tho. I was expecting newer and better. I will say that all of us did sleep well and were comfortable. It was only a one night stay over. The front of house staff at reception was a lovely man. He was very Curtis and kind to me and my kids. My kids left there key in there room about 3 times and locked them selves out, he replaced them every time with a smile and no fuss. On the whole I and my family enjoyed our say and would stay again.

Rooms are showing signs of age.

Family room was spacious and clean. Soundproof so we were not disturbed by outside sounds. Bathroom had both shower ans bath tube and The Rituals cosmetics were provided. Room had big tv with good channel selection. Beds were comfy. I liked free parking, gaming room for kids. Lobby and bar area had nice decor. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was very good and had good choice of food. I really liker dome of fromage.

I'm dissapointed by the restaurant. It was quite overpriced to what you get. Cesar salad was made with some chicken nuggets similar to mcdo and not real chicken. Aperol spritz did not even have slice of orange in it. Swimming pool area was bit disappointing too - needs some refurbishment.
