The service at Kyoto Tokyu Hotel is outstanding. I accidentally left some camera equipment in the room, and the staff immediately took action. Thanks to Mr. Maruyama and the housekeeping team, my items were found and safely sent to my next accommodation. Very professional and caring. The location is excellent, and the hotel’s offer for transport to and from the station is outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and helpful!

However, the air conditioning in the bathroom did not work properly—it was blowing air instead of ventilating. I reported it to reception, but unfortunately, the situation did not improve.

Hearing the voices of other visitors staying in the hotel next to my room was a bit uncomfortable. Hopefully, you’ll find a solution for it. It would not be easy for couples) Usually, I wouldn’t say I like a small bathtub with curtains in the hotels). I’m 174 in height, and it was a struggle 🙃 The Shower option wasn’t comfortable either cause it was connected to the bathtub. I know that this is a common practice in Japan, but you might care for foreigners as well) The gym needs some improvement. It seems that every piece of equipment is outdated

The hotel was in an excellent location . The room was very small but had everything you could possibly want. A tiny compact room perfect for one person! There was a view out the window overlooking the Roppongi area in Tokyo. The bed was comfy and I loved how they left a bag on the door handle each night with a fresh towel and water. The used ones went back in the bag to be collected. I’d highly recommmend this hotel for a shortish stay

The main foyer was a bit glitzy and the staff quite robotic with automated check in. It wasn’t the sort of hotel that could assist with tourist questions and assistance.

The most welcoming staff..we arrived last for the final shuttle bus which was full so the driver came back to collect us after he had finished! He was extremely kind! Comfortable,.old fashioned charm rooms with soothing music on the radio, lots of toiletries and a very deep bath and 3 large single beds. So comfortable plus comfy night gowns. Delicious Japanese breakfast and western breakfast buffet with lots of choice. Games room for children with a selection of Japanese candies for free. Great location and superb value for 2 nights.

I like their breakfast, the staff and the room, and the location. The breakfast is lively with lots of food and style choices for most ages. The room is spacious, well equipped and accessorized, and the staff super friendly. The location is quiet and accessible to city bus. The more we stay in Kyoto as tourists, the more we find we use their city bus over trains or subways like we also do in Taipei. Tokyu's twice per hour free shuttle service to and from the Kyoto station is also very useful.

The equipment in the gym is a few and outdated, and can get some updates with a bigger and more ventilated room, and remove age restrictions.

Very nice property and large rooms (the Hollywood rooms are like 2 rooms)

No vegetarian food in their restaurants. Only one restaurant had an item , otherwise no option. Breakfast was good though they had more Asian food in the western style buffet which was surprising as they had a separate Japanese option too.. so would have liked more fresh food and fresh omelettes at least instead of the very runny scrambled eggs. Also the lobby setup being downstairs from where the exit was to go anywhere made it a bit tiring especially with older parents at the end of a day

The hotel is quite good service. The location is quite convenient. I like the room very much. It was very, clean, and filled up with small complimentary toiletary kits. The buffet breakfast is quite healthy and delicious. The best service of the hotel for us was having the regular shuttle bus service from the hotel from/to the main train station.

The only discomfort was during the check-in process with the specified receptionist who took and copied my credit card information including the expired date and pin in memory of course when she couldn't swipe for deposit money even though we settled full payment in advance before arrival. The hotel explained to me upon my complaint, and the issue was solved at last.

Staff/personnel were especially superb-courteous and helpful. The concierge, especially Naomi (sp?) was very knowledgable of the tourist areas and the best transport to use. Naomi and her colleagues went out of their way to assist and seemed able to anticipate our needs. Breakfast provided varieties and excellent. Facilities and our room were spotless. The lobby was pleasant and tastefully decorated.

A little bit more of natural lighting could be more uplifting.

Everything you would expect from a good hotel. Friendly and attentive staff, interesting lobby, several food options and a well fitted room. I enjoyed my stay very much. Free shuttle bus to the train station.The room was - like everywhere in Japan - a bit small.

The hotel is centrally located about 10 mins drive from Kyoto Train Station but it's not really downtown. If you want shopping and restaurant options it will be around 30 mins of walking or 10 mins in a cab. Furniture in my room looked a bit dated but still very much o.k.

Spatious rooms. Clean. Good bed. Pick-up and drop-off from the Main Train Station. Pretty Lobby area. Friendly Staff. Bus stations that connect to different parts of the city a few steps away. Could leave our luggage on the last day. Gym is small but well equipped.

It is a bit walk to the city, but if you like walking around it’s cool.
