It’s a very nice looking hotel with great rooms. We had laundry done two times and it worked well. They have a shuttle bus during the day that takes you to and from Kyoto train station. The staff were lovely.

Our room was near an elevator that was really loud through the walls. Tv needs streaming apps.

Clean and comfortable with very nice facilities. We really enjoyed the excellent breakfast. Walking distance from the station.

I like the buffet continental breakfast with different Japanese and Continental breakfast to choose from. We love the location, just 1km from Kyoto Station. And the bus transfer service to the train service was an excellent conveniwnt way for pixkup and dropoff at the station. We love the spacious room and comfortable beds! We had a restful sleep.

I dont understand why the fitness centreand swimming pool are only open between 1-8pm. I hope they open the fitness centre in the morning.

10 mins away from Kyoto station. There are a few restaurants nearby and a 7/11 shop. A bigger shopping centre is within walking distance, 10 min away. The pool is good but a little too warm. The hotel offers shuttle service to the station every 20 mins. The breakfast was very good with lots of different food to choose from. Waiters were prompt and non-intrusive.

Pool is open until 8 and one has to get in before 6:30pm. Toilets look a bit dated. We stayed at Hotel Elcient in Osaka prior to this one, and I wished we had booked at Elcient in Kyoto, too. It was right next to the station.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. There was an ice machine and drinking water refill station on each floor which was fantastic! The rooms were a very good size with a lot of amenities. The fitness suite was a little bit small but had all the main equipment needed for a good workout and the swimming pool and jacuzzi were excellent. The location was excellent with most large tourist sights within 1hr by public transport or 30mins by taxi, Kyoto station was less than a 10min walk and there was always at least 1 taxi at the front door. The luggage transport system in Japan is a fantastic tool which I will be looking for on other holidays now.

Unfortunately the fitness suite and swimming pool opening times were 1:30pm-8:30pm which meant we had to replan our itinerary to come back during the day to use it or cut a couple days short to use it before going out for dinner.

Not the best Rihga I've stayed at, they vary so much, but still a very acceptable standard.

Friendly, accommodating staff, great pool, great breakfast and love the rotating restaurant at the top! Water fill stations available and complimentary bottles each day. Convenient shuttle service to/from nearby train station.

My room was on the side of the train tracks so train noise was bothersome at night. Mattress a bit hard for my taste.

Breakfast was good. There was a line to the top floor restaurant, but to the buffet we could walk in. Location close to the train station worked very well. Indoor pool was very refreshing after a long day of walking

Well-appointed, spacious rooms. Just 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Station. The heated swimming pool is fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast had great variety. The perfect hotel for us! Reception staff member Samrat was particularly helpful.

The only problem we had was that on Booking.com it was not clear that I had to specify two people for a twin room. I had specified this in the search, and booked the twin room, but when I got to the hotel I realised that my booking was for one person. This is not the hotel’s fault, but rather something to watch out for when using Booking.com.
