The hotel is an excellent choice not only because of its proximity to the train station and city attractions, but also because of the general impression it makes on the guest. The lobby and reception are decorated in a way that gives the impression of being larger than they are. This is not a minus, but an indication that great attention has been paid to the decoration of the hotel. Our room, measuring 20 square meters, was located in the main building on the second floor. It was spacious enough for our needs, but for a couple traveling with two large suitcases it would have seemed cramped and they would have had to use the bed to open their suitcases. For Amsterdam, a 20 square meter room is among the more spacious and much more expensive hotels than this have rooms of the same size, while most other hotels have rooms smaller than 20 square meters. This is also not a minus and we just want to emphasize that you should reduce your expectations to a realistic level. The bathroom is small but extremely functional. The sink is large enough to accommodate your necessities. The shower cabin is spacious and has both a waterfall shower and a hand shower, which is a big plus. The soundproofing from the street is excellent and we had no problems sleeping. The bed is large enough and very comfortable. The power socket was on one side of the bed which was not a problem as we always take power strips and extension cords with us when we travel. There are a few more sockets, USB connectors and a mains socket under the TV. We paid extra for a room with a canal view and it was worth every penny. The view is exceptional. Breakfast is continental and plentiful. Self-service, with eggs ordered from the menu. Breakfast time is from 7 to 11, with the restaurant being most busy from 10 to 11, so you may have to wait a few minutes for a table to become available. The coffee from the machine both in the room and at breakfast is fantastic.

Nothing substantial, just minor things like AC needs few minutes to start heating, and it requires toilet doors to be closed. Room could have more power outlets next to the bed including usb ports which would save you from some negative comments. Sink in the toilet was cracked. It didn’t leak but it just lesser our impression of hotel a bit.

The location was excellent. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Most of the staff we engaged with were very helpful. We would stay again. We didn’t use any of the facilities or dine in, so can’t comment on those aspects.

We checked in on Xmas Eve and were given a bottle of wine if we agreed to not have daily housekeeping over Christmas. We were fine with that but Christmas came and went and still the room wasn’t being refreshed. We asked for the towels to be replaced, but the old ones were left on the floor. They ask you to communicate via their app and WhatsApp but this was useless as it took hours to get a response. It was much easier to speak with an actual person.

The location was absolutely fantastic, the staff was amazing, and we would like to give a special shoutout to the bar staff who went above and beyond. We had a king bed for my husband and I and it was the most comfortable bed throughout our travels on this trip. There was an additional smaller bed brought in for our daughter and once again it was the most comfortable bed she slept in on our trip. We were across the street from the main transit station, which is not only aesthetically beautiful, but very convenient when we had to take the train. We were close to everything and walked everywhere with the exception of when we took trains outside of Amsterdam. We highly recommend this hotel.

The elevators were extremely small (but cute). Sometimes we had to wait several times to go up and down the elevator because we had to wait for other guests. But in the whole scheme of things, it really wasn't a big deal.

Room was lovely except where it was located on first floor but down few steps to get to our room and no view as we had late flight and came by train which was ideal re hotel location but as we were last checking in on the day all the good location rooms were allocated! as iv two hip replacement it wasn’t ideal to use steps we were told we could move following day if another room came available but we didn’t bother asking Also our tv kept freezing

I loved the prime location of the hotel, which made it incredibly convenient to explore Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, making it a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices to start the day right.

The view from my room was less impressive than expected, overlooking an inner courtyard. Additionally, the central location, while convenient, did result in some street noise during the evenings. The breakfast area could get crowded, leading to occasional waits for a table.

This was our fourth visit to hotel now and we love it. The staff are always pleasant and professional.The gentlemen who provide the concierge/security service are especially great.

Not much choice on the television for English guests once we settled down for the night. We did notice one or two broken items around the hotel such as the mirror/glass behind the coffee machine in our room and the display panels in the lift. This is the first time we have noticed things of this nature at the hotel. We had a lovely view of the canal but the curtains would only either fully open or fully close and due to the very large windows we found the room far too bright with the curtains open.

1. Best location possible. Right at the centre, 3 minutes walk to public parking, walking distance to train station, right at a beautiful canal, easy to find 2. Rooms spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable 3. Bathrooms, sheets, floor clean 4. Outstanding complete breakfast 5. Supper good spa and pool: clean, relaxing scents and calming music and lights. Towels, change room, shower clean and spacious ( we didn’t use gym or massage) 6. We didn’t use the bar, but it looked live and nice 7. Check in check out convenient, staff spoke good English, were friendly and polite

It was pricy

The location was the best, as a family you have everything close to and tram and trains next to you!

We arrived in the afternoon and we wait for an hour to prepare our room and when we go to our room we realize that was the wrong room and they said that will see next day for change and offer a drink for that mistake. Next day they change the room but it wasn’t so clean especially in the bathroom. Next day the housekeeping did not replace the tissue box and they arrived in the afternoon instead of morning that we left and ask for clean our room.

This hotel is all about location, right in the center so it’s very convenient to travel to the main attractions. Rooms were comfortable and clean with great view of the canal.

Staff didn’t seem welcoming and non friendly. Our room was pretty much good size that would fit a family of four. The hotel staff suggested teen kids are treated as adults and 4 adults are not allowed to stay in one room, which was really weird. We were forced to get another room which added to the expense. I was not happy about it at all.

We have stayed twice at this hotel - the last time being 2011. It is super convenient in terms of location to train station, restaurants and shopping. Checkin staff were very welcoming and very professional. We asked for a room with a walk-in shower and this was arranged for us. Room was a very good size with plenty of room to store our things. Great fridge space and room for kettle. Shower and bathroom were exceptional, lots of room. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Curtains and lights were via a touch pad. We had no view which wasn't a problem. Room was a great temperature too. Would only stay at this hotel if I return to Amsterdam.
