Room and Location was excellent.

Maybe the price was a bit more than expected for that level of hotel. Also because I booked throuhgh Booking.com it was hard to manage any changes to the bookings on site and also as we were traveling as a group by I was paying for everything that became an issue as we booked through Booking.com

I love the W and we always stay here when coming to Amsterdam. This is our 5th stay in the city. The hotel is amazing and I do believe it is the best hotel in Amsterdam. The rooftop pool, the spa, the food and drinks is sublime. As well as the decor of the room. It’s my favourite hotel. The in room speakers are great.

On this occasion the staff did let me down a little bit. The welcome reception was not warm and this sets the tone for the stay. The receptionist did not seem attentive, which was the opposite on check, which was nice. It these small touches which sets the W apart from other hotels.

Our room was a let down. Very cramped, we booked a city view which was a very small window facing some air conditioning units. The room layout was bizarre. The shower felt like a cupboard and left me feeling claustrophobic. Was very much looking forward to my stay but the room left me feeling disappointed

My room was spacious & big & so well lit. The Spa area with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room was well maintained & I definitely used it. room 102 Me. porter resturant had awesome food. The staff at the Spa was fantastic- one particular lady ( Lori ) was very professional & amicable as I was having headache & she suggested to drink water, lemonade & help easy my headache. It was my birthday, she & her colleagues made it special for me. Thanks to Lori & other colleagues at the Spa.

I stayed in another room from 25-27, it was extremely odd, bathroom & toilet separated, felt clumsy Room #133. Not worth the money. The refrigerator in both rooms I stayed Room 133 & 102 didn’t work properly. Couldn’t keep any beverage cold. Reception area was always chaotic & the staff seemed overwhelmed. They did their best though.

I looved the staff they were the nicest so friendly so cute. The location was amazing right at the center The laundry service was good and fast as well the saved me 😂 The dine in as well was good the food was8/10 good I loved that the umbrella was available all the time The staff was nice enough to share an amazing sweet and drinks because it was our honeymoon

In the weekend the club was directly above us so it was really loud it was hard the sleep My room was 501 It was on the corner so it was a bit smaller then the rest

The suite was lovely and intimate in terms of aesthetics. The reception staff was very helpful and gave me a nice gift as I left. They made it nice as it was for my anniversary and provided Prosecco and a lovely heart chocolate & card.

Not a fan of the shower in the room as it was small for a suite. There was nowhere to hang towels. The check in and out staff was not the best and a little rude. The in room dining charged for delivery which I have never seen at a hotel before. The lighting in the room wasn’t the best and for a suite it wasn’t greatly noise insulated as I could hear other people talking outside and slamming doors. The upstairs TV had no connection to chrome cast and could only watch normal tv which was annoying as the downstairs one worked perfectly. The iPad in the room was pointless as it did not work and had a date on it from 2007.

Front desk and spa staff amazing - could not fault. They provided great customer service and I found them to be very accommodating when it came to making changes to check out, booking into the spa etc. All the staff that passed wished me a good morning or good afternoon. Hotel room was clean albeit not huge. I loved the Marshall speaker in the room - a great touch from my perspective.

There was not much I did not like. I had found the bar staff on the rooftop friendly Once engaged, however I required needing to gain their attention at times. I would have liked to have had access to the Gym without needing to book AND pay for it. I did not use it for this reason. The room had an interesting layout which added to the experience but it was something I needed to get my head around - (Shower 'pod' inside the room?..) - it is hard to describe! My overall experience was an excellent one.

Yes I had some problems at the beginning of the stay but I won't mention them and won't reflect them in my score... because three people worked so hard to fix them and made my visit memorable ! Thanks very much to these three; Deputy manager Pasquale, W lounge Joana, and Doorman ( who speaks Turkish).. I’m always impressed when I come across the people who do their jobs with diligence and enthusiasm! 🙏

Location is perfect, room was bright and staff at the hotel are very welcoming and professional 😊

I didn’t like how I was treated at Mr. Potter’s restaurant by their hostesses. The blonde girls with poker faces and rude attitude weren’t even talking to me and giving me a weird look when I was communicating with them. I’ve just left the place because even before entering I wasn’t informed that the kitchen is still closed as the waiter told me that they should let us know at the entrance.
