Found out on YouTube the this hotel offers free ev charging to blue badge holders and changed our booking from an other location to this hotel. Throughput our two night stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

from arrival at just before midnight until mid afternoon the next day the EV charging was not working. Think it was an issue with their WiFi as that also wasn't working. We had to charge elsewhere as had arrived with only 11% battery and needed to drive to Blackpool. This Cost £15.01 The hotel staff told me this was the first time the chargers had failed and offered us both a free meal and drink, to make it up to us. We both had a starter, followed by fish and chips for my wife and I went for the serloin steak. The food was delicious and more than made up for the cost and time having to charge elsewhere. We did get a full free charge on our second night.

Large open car park, outdoor drinking area. Restaurant based at the front of the property and lots of space. The bar is opened until midnight. However. We took a bottle of fizz to our room, upon frequent cigarette breaks in the easy access smoking area out the front my partner was able to collect fresh ice on their way back to ensure every drink I had was chilled. Bar staff did this absolutely free. Also, our child wanted a sweet from the £1 machine, cash back couldn’t be provided and we did not have cash, a male bar man handed us a £1 coin which we did not expect. This was our first visit to the area and we will definitely be using this hotel each time we travel to the area.

Our room was very far back as it was a family room and a long way to get to. However, this is a minor issue given the service we were provided.

Excellent evening meal - cooked on the premises and tasting like home cooking. One of the best pizzas I ever ate in a restaurant. VERY friendly and warm reception staff- especially a young man (living in Preston-don't know his name). He was extremely helpful when my husband had an embarrassing health problem and very reassuringly dealt with extra cleaning tasks. He was also very comforting to me and very mature in spite of his young age. Thank-You! We liked the sun terrace in front of the building- also the fact it had protective sun shades.

We missed an anti-slip mat in the shower.

Breakfast was great. They have good options for hot food. If you don’t eat pork ask for the vegan sausages. Unfortunately I didn’t see the sign so I didn’t have the vegan sausages. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very nice and it was clean. The light colored carpet takes away from the ambiance because it has lots of stains. It must have looked amazing when it was new but it was not a good choice for a hotel that has so much people going back and forth. It does not stop me from going back there.

Breakfast was fantastic, our little one had a bad nights sleep and one of the reception staff told me i could take my partner up some food on a tray, Room was huge and spacious with good shower space and enough space for our babies travel cot and pushchair

Beds were very firm, i have a bad back so i usually have to have a softer matress Pillows were either too soft or too firm, i take my own pillow everywhere so i luckily still had a decent nights sleep

We always ask for a specific room as its ground floor and not far to walk for my wife who has a spine condition. Also has plenty of room to work. breakfast plenty of choice for an Express and they seve great coffee. Evening meals have certainly got better also. Breakfast staff in particular very friendly and helpful and always have a smile.

Wi-Fi not the best but a minor concern, was better in the bar area. Door didnt automatically lock on exit but this was rectified.

Pleasant people throughout and excellent service skills at the location by all the staff

The bed seems like it was two together as the covers/sheets did only just reach the edges but as I was along it was not an Issue and the vents from the ceilings where covered in strings of dust but again as it’s a vent it shows when blowing. Not a big issue and as the hotel staff were excellent it was not something I wanted to raise.

Very efficient check in, bar area was very impressive, breakfast was easily the best buffet breakfast we’ve had at a holiday inn. Will definitely stay here again.

We booked a family room but it was a double room with an extra bed put in it. We had booked to take both our grandsons aged 11 and 13 but one of them never went otherwise it would have been very cramped in the room.

We booked this as a 'budget' hotel for a 1 night work stay, but it far exceeded our expectations. Amazing value for money as our room was spacious, immaculate and had lovely large windows letting plenty of daylight in. We had space for working on a comfy sofa that is also a bed, and a little table desk. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't fault anything about our experience there. Thank you.

The staff were superb. Everyone was cheery and helpful. The accessible room is one of the few hotel rooms I’ve been to which has actually been designed with thought - perhaps they had help from a wheelchair user?! Other hotels could learn from this.

Shower was very weak and not that warm. Our car was stolen from the car park an hour after we arrived! I found some of the questions in this review a bit ironic considering this!🤣 I didn’t mark the hotel down fir this though - not their fault and the way they responded was so professional. They had full cctv of the theft and offered help and empathy to us with the trauma.
