This hostel is a clever conversion of an old building. Old outside, modern inside. The common spaces were interesting and had names (a kitchen, rooftop, some lounges). The location in Chinatown is great!

The check in process was cumbersome and the place is rarely staffed. I ended up helping several other guests get checked in because they were confused. Our room was so skinny it was only the width of the bed so it was a little tricky to figure out where to put our stuff. We kinda had to walk over it to get into bed. People were courteous but kept to themselves.

I got a nice room with a view on the main street. The room was small, but comfortable. The proximity of the street was not disturbing. The bed was very comfortable and the room is noise-insullated from the other rooms.

It is not possible to open the windows, but that lies on the building itself. The bathroom and toilet are outside the rooms, which is not comfortable, but it influences the lower price of the room. The bed is made for smaller people, a tall person would not have it comfortable. An older person would have an issue to climb up to the bed. The checkin process is very modern and requires a smart phone. All this should be mentioned in the information about the hotel. However, the staff is available on whatsapp and communication is possible also via a built-in tablet, so there should not be an issue. Overall, the stay in this hotel was nice and the location excellent.

Breakfast should be better... More food (specially protein) and more tailored

Everything was very clean (room, shared bathroom, kitchen). Having a fridge, coffee and tea in the kitchen was great. Breakfast across the street was basic but very chill (it's at Nanyang old coffee, which is a photogenic and popular place). The location was extremely central but still very quiet. Neighbourbood felt very safe, even in the middle of the night.

The room is tiny, which I knew, but I hadn't realized that the bed was so boxed in. I'm tall and exactly fit the bed, but if you'd be 1.90 or up, then I think the bed wouldn't have been comfortable. The room has no window and AC wasn't extremely strong (I'm pretty sure it was never 20C in my room, even if the thermostat said so), so if you really need a cool room to sleep, then this isn't exactly for you.

Breakfast is good. I get to taste the traditional Singapore coffee and tea!

The cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet is not so good. There were tissues scattered around the basin.

Nice location, self check-in and automated access with your phone, tiny but nice room. Good stay for exploring the city. Stuff reacted very fast via WA requests. At the beginning of the night (1 am) when air conditioner in the room started showing the error (was not cooling) -- in 15 minutes we were moved to another room.

Stairs slightly old and the sound when you step on it once was quite frightening. Tea was missing on the shelf for tea and coffee - after the rain was slightly disappointing as we had to warm up some other way

Very convenient, close to shops, food market, restaurants, hawker Center, bus stops, train station, money changer. The room is big enough for what I need with mirror, television, a desk, a chair and a safe. I booked from 29/3-15/04 it cost around $1128. i would say it’s reasonably price. The wifi is excellent, watched a lot of movies from my Netflix account. Wifi connection is so good that I called home from messenger without any issues. The staffs are helpful and contactable via internet chats/calls. LOTS of fantastic food in that area especially the hawker Center. I had lots of yummy durians like D24, Musang King and D26. It’s rare during this time of the year but I found it there. I put on 2kgs in 2weeks with all the delicious food in that area but it’s worth it. About 80% of my meals are in Chinatown and I haven’t got to try all of them. I will be back on my next trip next year.

Very good location, really easy to get around Singapore from

The automatic check in with the app was really difficult to use especially after a very long flight and day of travelling. Also did not really like the rooms, felt very much like student accommodation and with no windows was very dark and cramped space

Good position, easy to access, kitchen with nice coffee and water dispenser. Toilets clean.

My room was just a bit more tiny than expected and the moquette looked not clean properly. Moreover, the toilets and bathrooms are a bit far from room and you need to walk till there with your stuff

Overall, the place was quite convenient and reasonable for the fee. Plus, everything could be done online and operators on the up were willing to help tourists.
