I recently stayed at Hotel Du Chateau in Annecy, and I absolutely loved it! The location is perfect – you’re right in the heart of this charming city. The hotel itself has such a wholesome and cute ambience, with heart-shaped carvings on the cupboards that made me smile every time I saw them. They had an adorable cat and a dog, who made my stay even more memorable! There’s also a lovely seating area that offers a breathtaking view of the entire city. Watching the sunset from there felt truly special. If you’re planning a trip to Annecy, I can’t recommend Hotel du Chateau enough. It’s a lovely property that feels like a home away from home!

It is a lovely hotel in an exceptional location. Everything about it was comfortable, our room, the bed, breakfast room, the terrace overlooking the town, can't fault it at all. It had everything you needed from a hotel and was spotlessly clean. Quality produce ensured a delicious breakfast to set you up for the day, the best we've had whilst travelling around France. The location was superb, 2/3 minutes straight into the old town, even less to the Château which stands overlooking the hotel. We were fortunate to have a room with a view over the town from the 2nd floor. The owner is a lovely lady, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

There is nothing to dislike, but it's important to note that the hotel sits on the top of a short steep slope/path You can access the old town via that path or round the back of the hotel there is a path with steps & hand rails which was easier. It will take 2/3 minutes, I have mobility issues and I managed the steps which taking my time did in 5/6 minutes. It was worth it though

Hotel du chateau was a very charming place to stay for our two nights in Annecy. The location is exceptional, right in the centre of town but just a short stroll up a side street away from the noise. There is a wonderful view, everything in the hotel is maintained to a high level and the staff very friendly. We found it no problem to have a parking space despite it perhaps being one of the busiest weeks of the year! Highly recomend!

Rooms were slightly too small if we had been staying more than two nights - however most of the time is spent out exploring so not really a problem.

Truly the best hotel I've stayed in France. The bedroom is simple, but beautiful, clean and has the most amazing view of the Chateau and mountains. The breakfast is simples, but very traditional (eggs, lots of fruits, cheese, meats, yoghurts), teas, coffees, juice. Location is perfect, right next to the old town, close to the lake, the museum and really nice bars and restaurants. If you like to walk to everything - but not a lot - this is the spot. Can't recommend enough. Amazing!

Nothing. Literally great! Just make your self a favor and book this treat!

This hotel is ideally located, just a minute away from the town's most stunning attractions, and within walking distance to numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops. One of its standout features is the private parking, which is a rarity in this central area of a medieval town with narrow streets. We stayed in the family room with four beds (though we only used three), and found the beds to be very comfortable, while the room itself was spotless. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the castle right across from the hotel. The hosts were welcoming and kindly provided us with a map of the local attractions. We also opted for breakfast, which included a selection of local cheese, ham, butter, jam, and boiled eggs, as well as a variety of teas and coffee. Although we only stayed for one night on our way to the mountains, this hotel was a wonderful find. Highly recommend!

The location was amazing and our views from our 2nd floor room were breathtaking. The rooms are small and simple, but had everything we needed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helped us navigate parking (to get to the hotel parking spots you have to call through at the chateau road block) and some train reservations. While the hill to the hotel is steep, the views and charm from the hotel's spot at the top is well worth the effort. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't require accessibility accommodations.

Rooms are on the small side, but par for the course in Europe.

Small, little Hotel in Annency City Centre, beside the Castle. The Old town is starting 1 minute away. Our room was big enough for 2 people. The beds are, typical French, not too big, but It was OK for us. The rooms do not have AC, but you can open the window at night. It was very quiet at night, even through its in the centre. You can have breakfast outside at the terrace with view over the town and the mountains. The bufee breakfast include croissants, bread, coffee, bio marmalade and more. We just missed some prepared fruits for our muesli. But it only cost 11 Euro, so that's very a fair price. There is a parking area at the hotel for max 5 cars. But there are a lot of parking areas just around which are free from 19 to 8 over night. Just ask at the reception. We would highly recommend this hotel for a short trip to Annecy!

Cozy room with a very friendly hostess and a beautiful location that is only a few minutes walk from the most famous sites in Annecy.

The only thing that was tricky was parking, which had nothing to do with the hotel. Google maps won't show you how to get there, so we drove around for a bit trying to find a road that would allow cars and not just pedestrians. Finally we figured out that there is a way, but seemingly only in going past the chateau where there are road blockers that go down to let you through. We ended up parking in the nearest parking garage, and though we had to pay a bit for the day, the hotel gave us a night ticket so that was free.

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The location is excellent, as you can walk down the hill and be close to shops and restaurants in Annecy. The bed was comfortable. Lots of boulangeries around for breakfast.

The room was slightly small and the steps leading up to the room are quite steep - on your way down the stairs, there is a big drop which can be a trip hazard if you aren't paying attention! While we could get a parking space, there are only around 5 spaces in front of the hotel - so it's down to luck as to whether you will get one. The property was also a bit complicated/ difficult to find by car.
