1st room I had was very small for 1 person. Windows were small and room was dark and unplasant. To fit on the toilet I had to open shower doors. 2nd night I paid extra for next room class and it was way better - windows to floor, spacious bathroom and larger room. Pay a bit more straight away not to be disappointed like I was with 1st room. Wifi was terrible ..i was not able to make WhatsApp calls as internet was very bad - staff said it was for security reasons and hotel blocks whatsapp calls (what a nonsense BS) I bought local sim with data on it and was able to make WhatsApp calls easily and internet was fast on my sim Pillows had lumps in them and 1st room mattres needed changing or rotated as I could feel the hollow from many guests using it.

It is not my first time in Hotel du Nord and I was happy to come back for many reasons. The location is simply perfect - it is less than 5mins walk from train/bus station and it is right in the center! Right next to hotel there are some shops and other busy streets of the city. Old center and lake are within 5-10mins walk so everything is pretty close. Hotel personnel is extremely polite and friendly, always ready to help and assist. I wanted to have some tea and they provided me with a cup and a small kettle. The room itself was nice with a little balcony facing the street, shower had all amenities... Perfect for stay in Annecy!

Nothing to complain about - my stay was always at the top level.

The location is perfect, close to train station, old town and the lake. The room was clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. The room was quiet during the night. The AC was helpful trying to cool the room down as it was exceptionally hot when we visited(34degrees). The breakfast includes breads, cheeses,ham, cereals, croissants and coffee/juice and cold boiled eggs kept in the fridge.

The breakfast does not include any hot food or vegetables which might be ok for others. Just a suggestion: couldn’t you make the eggs hot? Space is a bit limited in the room, bathroom, shower and elevator but that didn’t really bother us.

I really wish there was a kettle in the room, or you could choose a coffee/tea option instead of breakfast. It was a bit noisy, I could hear my neighbours and they were just talking. The first night I also heard people walking above me. The bed was super comfortable and the towel warmer was an exceptional luxury. Your front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff did a great job. Nice shampoo as well, and lots of towels.

Very friendly, kind, welcoming, warm and professional staff. Cozy no-frills hotel, clean and functional. My room was well equipped and well maintained and could make it for a good three stars. Perfect location in the city center, close (but not too much) to the train station and also close to public parkings (very conveniently located and quite cheap, and you even get a doscount card at the hotel reception). Excellent value for the money.

I cannot really find something that I did not like.

The staff at this hotel are incredibly hospitable. We we welcomed very warmly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. We arrived at the train station and it was a short walk to the hotel. From there, we could very easily walk to the lake, the old town, and through the shopping streets. The room was small and basic (what we expect from a 2* hotel), but clean and comfortable.

Our room, including the bathroom and shower, was quite small.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and breakfast. Nice and clean room. Very good location in the center of the city. Breakfast has good variety and is good.

During thursday's nights, youg people in the street like to shout and make noise even with closed windows. However it is not a surprise.

The location is fantastic. It's very near the railway station and the old town. The staff was very friendly. They provided me a lot of information for restaurant and sightseeing. Fantastic.

All good. If I have to say something, although it met my needs, the lift and the bathroom are relatively small. An email address is needed for each device to register wifi. The bed was not so comfy that lying in bed, I could be aware of where the previous guests used to sleep.

I didn't have a kettle nor a cup in my room, but someone got me both of them with a great smile each time I asked so I could drink my little tisane every night. I feel grateful for that and overall, I particularly liked the warmth of the staff!

Honestly nothing, I wasn't expecting much and I got happily surprised by almost everything! I couldn't be more satisfied, and even more considering what I paid for!

- The staff here were some of the warmest and most welcoming people we met in France (and contrary to some stereotypes, most of the people we encountered were this way). They also provided a map and highlighted points of interests around town - The area is very walkable and just a stone's throw from the lake, the main sites and tons of restaurants, cafes, pubs and stores - The room was extremely comfortable: spacious, super clean, quiet, blackout blinds, and it had an amazing shower and some of the best pillows I've slept on (I meant to check the brand before leaving!)

- Not much comes to mind other than I felt a little bad for all our comings and goings since someone at reception hangs on to your room key whenever you leave the hotel
