1st room I had was very small for 1 person. Windows were small and room was dark and unplasant. To fit on the toilet I had to open shower doors. 2nd night I paid extra for next room class and it was way better - windows to floor, spacious bathroom and larger room. Pay a bit more straight away not to be disappointed like I was with 1st room. Wifi was terrible ..i was not able to make WhatsApp calls as internet was very bad - staff said it was for security reasons and hotel blocks whatsapp calls (what a nonsense BS) I bought local sim with data on it and was able to make WhatsApp calls easily and internet was fast on my sim Pillows had lumps in them and 1st room mattres needed changing or rotated as I could feel the hollow from many guests using it.

Hotel very central for most important parts of Annecy, old town, lake and port plus rail station and bus station. Hotel is ideal for a short stay not any longer than a few days rooms are neat and tidy with on suite facilities, Towels are or can be changed every day. Rooms have air/con which was needed in our case with higher than normal external temperatures. Breakfast is available French style at a reasonable price as an extra if required. Found the price for the accommodation reasonable for what was provided after all it is a 2 star Hotel.

Rooms and facilities are small and in our case facing onto a main thoroughfare with double doors and and a Juliet balcony. As Hotel is in the center of the town our room was overlooked by properties across the street which some might find off putting.

Staff was extremely nice and welcoming, taking the time to take out a map and show us what was around. The hôtel is perfectly centered, really close to the train station and the old city center but also remote enough from the busy area. Room was spotless, mattress comfortable, on the small side by American standards but with an AC which was a big plus for us during warm summer weather. You can also choose to get the optional breakfast for 11 euros which was simple but with enough choice and with fresh bread and croissant straight from the bakery!

Front desk staff were amazing (especially the French lady who helped when we checked in) Great location, less than a 5 minute walk from the train and coach station and a short walk to the old town. Hotel sells water and Orangina, whilst this may seem trivial is was vital on Sunday when all the shops closed early

Aircon struggled, however we visited during a heatwave, so it may be a non issue. Had 1 traditional pillow and 1 cushion shaped pillow, would’ve preferred 2 traditional shaped pillows

It is not my first time in Hotel du Nord and I was happy to come back for many reasons. The location is simply perfect - it is less than 5mins walk from train/bus station and it is right in the center! Right next to hotel there are some shops and other busy streets of the city. Old center and lake are within 5-10mins walk so everything is pretty close. Hotel personnel is extremely polite and friendly, always ready to help and assist. I wanted to have some tea and they provided me with a cup and a small kettle. The room itself was nice with a little balcony facing the street, shower had all amenities... Perfect for stay in Annecy!

Nothing to complain about - my stay was always at the top level.

Front desk were extremely helpful. I wish I remembered his name but the gentleman who checked me in made me feel so welcome as a solo traveller far from home. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Equipped with everything you’d expect from a hotel (including aircon!). I had the most incredible views of the Bastille Day fireworks from my room!! I couldn’t believe it. Really lucked out with that one.

Rooms are rather small. But that’s to be expected for the location.

I only took coffee, but that was complimentary--they are so hospitable! The location is perfect and every recommendation the concierge gave for eating was so good. I lost my watch and they were willing to mail it to me! I had a friend pick it up, but every time I messaged them, they were quick to write me back and I am getting my watch back!

It was the fete de musique, so I did ask to move since my room was on the street. I could hear the music, but slept just fine!

The location is perfect, close to train station, old town and the lake. The room was clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. The room was quiet during the night. The AC was helpful trying to cool the room down as it was exceptionally hot when we visited(34degrees). The breakfast includes breads, cheeses,ham, cereals, croissants and coffee/juice and cold boiled eggs kept in the fridge.

The breakfast does not include any hot food or vegetables which might be ok for others. Just a suggestion: couldn’t you make the eggs hot? Space is a bit limited in the room, bathroom, shower and elevator but that didn’t really bother us.

I really wish there was a kettle in the room, or you could choose a coffee/tea option instead of breakfast. It was a bit noisy, I could hear my neighbours and they were just talking. The first night I also heard people walking above me. The bed was super comfortable and the towel warmer was an exceptional luxury. Your front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff did a great job. Nice shampoo as well, and lots of towels.

Very friendly, kind, welcoming, warm and professional staff. Cozy no-frills hotel, clean and functional. My room was well equipped and well maintained and could make it for a good three stars. Perfect location in the city center, close (but not too much) to the train station and also close to public parkings (very conveniently located and quite cheap, and you even get a doscount card at the hotel reception). Excellent value for the money.

I cannot really find something that I did not like.
