Excellent location - opposite the train station with a park in between. Small supermarket 2 min walk away. Less than 5 min walk to central old town. Friendly staff Had a small balcony which we weren’t expecting Bedrooms clean and modern (I thought they looked better in real life compared to photos) Small chocolates at reception I noted on our booking that it was a birthday trip and the cleaners kindly wrote ‘happy birthday’ on our mirror

I booked twin comfort room which advertised that a bathrobe and slippers were included. When I arrived in room they weren’t there but I asked reception and they apologised and kindly gave them us. Breakfast was good but not worth the price. On booking.com it was advertised as €19pp which is expensive so we only had it once. When we checked out, the price was actually €18pp if you booked in advance and €22pp if you decide to have it on the day.

Excellent room, clean, big, well appointed, lovely view, close to historic old town, staff were lovely and accommodating. Would recommend and stay again.

The parking spot to check in was occupied….for a while. Coming in jet lagged, double parking to drop off biggest bag, not being able to drop off bags starting a 3 wk mountain vaca and then parking a mid sized suv in can what can only be called “the pit of despair”, thank god I had a head lamp in my bag, there was no light, my husband was ready to divorce me.

The room was exactly as requested (top floor). It was bright, quiet, fresh and very clean. Great aircon. All the room and bathroom facilities were of a high standard and worked well. The fridge/minibar offered very good choices. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows! The wrap around balcony with seating was wonderful night and day for the views. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and all items replenished speedily. Very welcoming and helpful breakfast staff. Special thank you to the Reception Staff who were very friendly and efficient on check in/out and throughout our stay. This is a wonderful hotel from which to explore Annecy (very central and with private, secure parking) and I can only imagine it would also be wonderful to visit in winter. Train station a short walk away if required.

Private parking was very convenient but due to the narrow entrance is more suited to small/medium cars. The Carlton Hotel booking process does make you aware of this though and there are alternative car parks if needed.

The hotel was conveniently located and easy to walk to the historic center. The breakfast was the best I've experienced at any hotel in France (I usually stay at 3 or 4 star hotels). The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The lift was nice and having parking available was great since I was traveling by car.

The parking for small cars in very small! The receptionist guided me in and out (which I thought was necessary). The air conditioner in my room didn't seem to be working... I think it was on but it was very slow and only cooled the room by 1 degree. I was given a fan which I didn't end up using, thankfully it wasn't hot outside at night.

We were stranded on N90 after a rock slide halted about 40,000 travelers through the tarentaise valley. We were able to turn around and were lucky to book one of the last rooms at this hotel. We were unfamiliar with Annecy as we were traveling from Lyon but it ended up being a wonderful stop in our trip! Special mention to Jose at the front desk who was under an immense amount stress trying to accommodate all lobby full of us and was so incredibly professional and kind. This is a gem of a hotel in a great location!

Centrally located - very close to Old Town. Shops and restaurants close by. You can walk to Lake Annecy from the hotel. The bus station was across the hotel - this is where Flix bus and other long distance buses drop their passengers. Very convenient. There is a small park in front of the hotel. There’s a bank few feet away if you need to withdraw from an ATM. Safe location.

Breakfast wasn’t that great. Coffee machine was broken.

The staff was really friendly and accommodating. At check in they upgraded us to a very nice and spacious room. At check out they allowed us to keep the car in the parking for several additional hours (for free). Ultimately, despite staying only one night, we had the opportunity to experience the kindness of the staff and their commitment to meeting the needs of the guests. I would add that the hotel enjoys a perfect location very convenient for those arriving by car and very close to the historic center. Good value for money

Everything was ok

Great stay. We arrived, reception call the housekeeping to make our room ready by 13:00. Very helpful on a cold day. We got restaurant recommendation. The room itself is very nice and comfortable. We had the room with balcony and view on the mountains. 24/7 reception which is very helpful. We were able to leave our bags before checkin and after checkout. We had a late train on checkout and Jassinta even heat our food. Great experience!

Some mold spot in the bathroom. And water get out of the shower. Need a little maintenance and all will be set.

Good location. Right opposite the train station, and a very large underground public car park ( horribly narrow, angulated spaces separated by concrete columns) directly in front. 150m from old town. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Good quality linen. There’s a patisserie about 100m away. Don’t bother with the hotel breakfast. Delicious baguettes, pastries and pain au chocolat.

Very slow lift. Ridiculously slow. Absolutely tiny, fits two or 3 people. You can wait a LONG time at standard checkin /out times.

We enjoyed our stay in a room with a big balcony (paying extra for having a balcony was a good choice). Very clean and comfortable hotel, good value for money. Exactly as on the pictures. Professional and friendly staff at the reception. For parking we received a key to a private garage box. The staff communicated perfectly to us that the parking could be narrow for wide cars, so I recommend to check with them first if you drive a big SUV.
