I booked the deluxe double room for five nights at Hotel Barriere Lille. The hotel was less than ten minutes walk from both the Lille train stations, in an area about twenty minutes from the centre of old Lille. The spacious room on a high floor overlooked a beautiful park and vistas of the city. It was comfortable and absolutely quiet. The room had everything I needed. I used the espresso machine every morning, and I took advantage of the sauna and steam room, included in my room fee. There is a casino in the hotel that I did not visit. The staff was friendly and the area was perfect as it was close to transportation but not right in the middle of the busy city. I enjoyed Hotel Barriere Lille.

We stayed three nights in this elegant hotel, well located just 3 minutes walk from Gare Lille Europe Station and Westfield Mall, and about 6 minutes by cab from the centre. The staff were courteous, warm and well attuned to ensuring that our stay was as fully comfortable and pleasing. There's a restaurant within the complex which served reasonably good meals. We had breakfast and dinner a couple of nights.

I would have liked the restaurant to cater for patrons with special dietary needs, such as offering gluten free and dairy free substitutes besides just gluten free bread rolls and salads. However, kitchen staff did their best to please.

Room was a great size, and very comfortable. Nice touches of chocolate on the turned down bed, sewing kit slippers, robes etc. Reception staff were friendly and went the extra mile to be helpful - great recommendation for places to eat and where to go to appreciate the visit.

Work on the main entrance meaning trade vehicles on the entrance drop off, no sign with the hotel name or indication of the vehicle drop off area, so we missed the turn and had to drive round the block twice before actually arriving at the hotel.

This was my second visit to this hotel. It is a great location, close to the Lille Europe train station and Euralille shopping centre. The old town in Lille is a slightly longer walk away but still manageable by foot. The rooms are clean and spacious with full length windows. I had a view of the park. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom is spacious with a large walk in shower. I loved the wardrobe which opened from both the main room and the bathroom. I didn't use the spa but it looked nice. The gym was small but adequate for a short stay. I dined at the main buffet restaurant and with the exceptionally hot weather, I was able to have breakfast and dinner outside on the terrace every day. Staff were very friendly and courteous.

Nothing at all. The shower felt a bit slippy and you need to take care stepping out of the shower. The room was a bit warm despite the aircon but the weather was exceptionally hot during my visit and my room had sun all day. I kept the curtains closed during the day whilst I was at work.

The staff made our stay comfortable and went the extra mile to offer attentive service. The room was elegant, with extra touches like a pouffe in the ante room of the bathroom and all.the little items for sewing and extras for toiletries. WiFi worked. Room service was courteous. Pleasing stay.

Nothing. If wishes were granted, I would wish for a more varied options for people with food sensitivities. Gluten free and lactose free options for example.

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff. 5 minute walk from Eurostar station. Short taxi ride or 15 minutes walk from Lille centre.

Bit of a lack of privacy in the bathroom. Gap around frosted glass door which allowed anyone in the bedroom to see in at a certain angle, also every slight 'bathroom ' noise could be heard. May not be a problem for some couples but may make you self conscious if sharing with a friend.

The hotel is very close to the station with a 5 mins walk. Rooms were very clean, with modern bathroom amenities. Breakfast was good, and the location was very convenient with railway station and shopping malls all in walkable distance.

The gym is very small, and and can accommodate only 3-4 people at a time. During peak hours, you dont want to smell the sweat of other people working out in the gym :(

Worth paying a bit more for the bigger rooms, with generous-sized bed, bathroom. Location: a short 2-min walk to Eurostar station via Bvd. Turin at the back of the station, and about 12 mins to the cafe of Grand Place and Place Rihour, passing the vast Euralille shopping centre and Lille Flandres station on the way. Also very handy for Zenith and L'Aeronef concert/gig venues

Had to wait a few minutes at check-in as no one was on reception Bizarre evening visit from two young members of staff offering a piece of chocolate

liked the breakfast very good enjoyed it very much. Staff very nice and helpfull told us which places to visit

The bacon was not very nice or the baked beans needed some more sauce in them. Also the shower when used it was going cold then have to wait it was powerful but the water was coming from bathtub aswell. I found the shower was powerful. Compared to the the hose you take off

this hotel was beautiful . it met our expectations and more. very friendly staff. . I cannot wait to return and stay for a longer break . within the top2 hotels i have ever stayed in . the kids loved it . Would highly recommend. Look forward to returning again.
