Love the cubes to sleep in a hostel, much better than the usual stacked beds. Nice common area and plenty of showers. Quick reception and great to be able to enter with codes at night. Amazing location being so close to the train station...

But being a basement without airco the windows were open and people outside were noisy for the best part of the night and morning. Only two toilets means a good wait time in the morning. The 100 euros deposit, I understand it but I haven't seen it in 20 years of hotels and hostels.

Very close to both train stations, walking distance. Easy to walk to the old town from the hotel.

The ground floor smelled a bit weird, I think they had some issues with toilets.

The girl at the check-in isn't friendly at all and is the only thing I didn't like about the hostel. Her attitude is very negative and she should handle guests in a better way. Also the 100 Euro deposit, this can be valid for private rooms, but not for hostel beds! I haven't seen this in a hostel in 15 years of traveling. Everything else was great.

First time i've stayed in a hostel environment since my student days. It was much improved and the sleeping arrangements are very good. Even though it is a bunk style there is plenty of room around each of the beds for any of you possessions you wish to keep near you. The curtains are good and give complete privacy with plenty of sockets for electrical appliances if you need to charge anything or just connect them. The lounge is practical and spacious and I met plenty of fellow travellers to go out for a drink with them. The place is ideally situated, being next to the main metro station, with the TGV station only 10 mins away for the trains and also long distance buses. There are also plenty of good restaurants practically next door - I particularly liked "Les 3 Brasseurs" - nice white beer and moules frittes. Seems there was a really nice take-away just selling fries in the square in front with really good size portions of really nice tasting fries. All in all I would recommend this place

apart from the 2 local french guys who seemed to think they owned the rest area since they lived there on a semi permanent bsis, absolutely nothing

The pods were quite spacious, confortable and private. Nice common areas, I was even able to do some remote work. The staff was also very friendly.

There was this strange mouldy smell in some areas, but everything was super clean.

A super new hotel/ appartment/ hostle facility right at the center of Lille. The place is very clean and well organized with all the necessary equipments : kitchen with microwave, stove, cooking utensils; washing and drying machine; toilet and bathroom are well kept. The bed is spaceous and comfortable. The security is at top level especially for the luggage storage. The staff are nice and hospitable. I arrived a bit later than their closing hour but they stayed to welcome me. The location is perfect : next to the metro station, the train and long distance bus station, near city center with a lot of choices for restaurants and near all tourist attractions.

The area outside is noisy at night as it is close to the train/bus/metro station.

We had a really comfortable stay at the apart-hotel — right opposite the Gare and the Westfield Mall, which made getting around super easy. The location was perfect: walking distance to all the key monuments and sites we wanted to see. The apartment itself was well equipped, with air conditioning (a summer lifesaver!), and everything we needed to feel at home. We truly enjoyed our time there. If we could suggest one small improvement: it would be helpful to have a small broom and dustpan available, especially for guests with children — just to make tidying up easier during the stay. Overall, a lovely experience — thank you! 😊

very clean, modern, with reception and great location right next to the station and the main square. the dorms are very well organized: each bunk bed has a couple of lights inside, power socket and usb, some space around the matress, a shelf and heavy curtains; each bunk bed comes with its own personal cabinet, just bring your own padlock or ask for one. the common space is not too big but has everything, it is clean, minimal and modern: a few tables, a couple of couches, fridge, microwave, stove, cutlery and dishware. bathrooms are also modern and clean: the shower rooms have both shower and a sink and there's shower soap and hand soap, hairdryer. the hostel is on the floor -1, while the hotel develops from the ground floor up. Actually it is totally fine, I don't think it feels claustrophobic. the dorm has windows in the upper part. you can buy breakfast or just coffee, there's a machine and costs 1.50

I noticed quite a lot of water overflows in the shower rooms, which makes the floor quite dirty and slippery and takes long to dry, I could suggest to add some wooden slats or leave a mop that can be used just to drain excess water from the floor. the dorm can have up to 18 people so you can imagine it can get noisy at random times during the night, I could suggest to fix the door in a way that it doesn't slam. there is indeed a sign inviting people to close it gently but still. I would improve the air circulation system, in the common areas / entrance to the toilets there was sometimes a funny smell

The room was lovely and spacious, it looked as it did in the photos. There was a mini kitchen with a fairly big fridge. The sofa, desk and dining table were a nice touch. The location is superb - ten mins walk to all the major sights and fun areas of Lille. Also super close to the Eurostar and metro stations.

The bathroom was very basic. The shower had what looked like it should be a 'rainfall' attachment, except the overhead part had a cap screwed over the end of the pipe so your only two options were to use the (leaky) handheld nozzle or open the cap and essentially have an open pipe drop water on you. We did ask reception if we could get a new shower head but they didn't help us - there might have been a language barrier issue (despite me showing them the attached pic). On the plus side, there was a bath as well, so I just used that instead.
