Everything went well , the location was an easy walk from eurolille (5 mins) and right opposite Flanders’s train station. We went to Paris for the day,arras and Roubaix . The iron is magnificent and the breakfast was very good. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs and bacon . The prestige rooms only have a loft window, plenty of light but no view however the rooms are large , perfect for us. The hotel has a lift. We will absolutely stay again , I the location is less than 5 mins from where ever you need to go in lille

The location is ideal if you are travelling from either of the main train stations. We had an overnight stay before getting the Eurostar so was ideal. The room was large, clean and felt like it was well planned and thought out. There was a nice selection at breakfast, which was refilled continuously, a little more fresh fruit would have been nice but that personal preference.

While the location was great if travelling from one of the train stations you are also next to a main train station, when we arrived on a Saturday night there were a lot of people (and police) outside. There is a back door that can be used to exit but it looked like people had been sat there drinking alcohol which was a little unsettling but the door can be closed securely. The corridors are quite narrow and despite a lift you do need to go up and down some stairs so just to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. And if visiting on a Sunday bear in mind that most shops will be closed.

Fabulous location, straight out to bars & then a short walk to the old town which is beautiful. Train station parking is expensive but worth not walking all over town with your cases. The station is a beautiful building & the staff were so helpful & spoke English. Staff in the hotel were welcoming & informative. Air-con in room, comfortable double bed, tv, hanging area for clothes & small but efficient bathroom/shower & hairdryer plus shaving point if needed. The shower in our room worked perfectly. Book this hotel if you like to walk out into the centre of town.

Finding the parking at the train station because the parking was fully booked at the hotel. The hotel is in the centre with no clear mapping on how to reach it to unload your cases before parking up.

Overal, we were pretty happy with the hotel! The bed was very comfortable (my partner hardly ever finds a bed comfortable but she slept like a log). The shower was excellent, as was the location, right opposite Lille Flandres station. There was a nice coffee machine in the room, but some milk would have been appreciated.

It was expensive, but maybe the jacked the prices up for the Tour de France grand depart. Although the quality of the breakfast was okay, the breakfast room was chaos on the first two mornings. It seemed as though they were severely understaffed!

The staff were polite and the room was as expected. The breakfast was good, and reasonably priced. I liked the way you could get a free drink if you chose not to have your room cleaned while you were there. The location is very good. In general, I was happy to stay there

The bed was a bit too hard, and while the bathroom had everything needed it was a little cramped. The lift was old, though that is just the way the building is. The corridors were a bit dark, since the lights were on motion sensors and there were no windows.

la Valiz is a small quaint looking hotel in the busy area around Lille Flandres and Euralille. The labyrinth of floors and rooms that make up the hotel has a certain charm, and the room was small but very quirky and fun in it's layout and decoration. comfy bed and pretty good isolation to block out the noise from the busy street surrounding the hotel. will use this hotel again if i have to catch the early Eurostar for sure.

Other guests in the neighbouring room came barging in at 2 am and proceeded to take a shower, this is however not the fault of the hotel.

Very clean, great location and nice touch with the complimentary bag and beer.good AC. Staff were friendly

Rooms a little small and the main door opens straight into the bathroom. The breakfast wasn’t fully stacked but to be fair we arrived with half hr left in a small hotel but we could have done with being asked was there anything else we wanted so we just made do with what we had available The cost of the rooms was Inflated but so was everywhere due to Olympics basketball

Well located hotel. Very quiet despite the busy central location. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful. The hotel was good value for money when everything was taken into consideration. Certainly one we would return to if visiting Lillie again.

The annoying issue with how difficult it was to open the door!! Minor inconvenience though.

Staff friendly and helpful; location was perfect, so close to both main train stations and a short walk to the main square and shopping. Duplex room was great with its own entrance but still accessible from inside the rest of the hotel and was spacious. Breakfast choices were reasonable with bacon, scrambled egg, beans, cereals, fruit, juices, yogurts, cheeses, cold meats and baked goodies

The duplex room's self catering kitchenette was missing some practical basics like washing up liquid, dish cloths and there was no handle for the pans for the hob

Great location just opposite Gare De Lille Flandres, less than 10 minutes to Lille-Europe for the Eurostar and TGV. Very clean and tidy, great staff on the desk. Hotel dealt with a small problem with the sink very quickly and efficiently. Air-con good. Room smaller than average but perfectly adequate. Breakfast OK. Would definitely stay here again.

Erm, a faster lift! Didn't dislike anything, great little hotel.
