The staff were polite and the room was as expected. The breakfast was good, and reasonably priced. I liked the way you could get a free drink if you chose not to have your room cleaned while you were there. The location is very good. In general, I was happy to stay there

The bed was a bit too hard, and while the bathroom had everything needed it was a little cramped. The lift was old, though that is just the way the building is. The corridors were a bit dark, since the lights were on motion sensors and there were no windows.

la Valiz is a small quaint looking hotel in the busy area around Lille Flandres and Euralille. The labyrinth of floors and rooms that make up the hotel has a certain charm, and the room was small but very quirky and fun in it's layout and decoration. comfy bed and pretty good isolation to block out the noise from the busy street surrounding the hotel. will use this hotel again if i have to catch the early Eurostar for sure.

Other guests in the neighbouring room came barging in at 2 am and proceeded to take a shower, this is however not the fault of the hotel.

Rooms a little small and the main door opens straight into the bathroom. The breakfast wasn’t fully stacked but to be fair we arrived with half hr left in a small hotel but we could have done with being asked was there anything else we wanted so we just made do with what we had available The cost of the rooms was Inflated but so was everywhere due to Olympics basketball

Well located hotel. Very quiet despite the busy central location. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful. The hotel was good value for money when everything was taken into consideration. Certainly one we would return to if visiting Lillie again.

The annoying issue with how difficult it was to open the door!! Minor inconvenience though.

Staff friendly and helpful; location was perfect, so close to both main train stations and a short walk to the main square and shopping. Duplex room was great with its own entrance but still accessible from inside the rest of the hotel and was spacious. Breakfast choices were reasonable with bacon, scrambled egg, beans, cereals, fruit, juices, yogurts, cheeses, cold meats and baked goodies

The duplex room's self catering kitchenette was missing some practical basics like washing up liquid, dish cloths and there was no handle for the pans for the hob

Great location just opposite Gare De Lille Flandres, less than 10 minutes to Lille-Europe for the Eurostar and TGV. Very clean and tidy, great staff on the desk. Hotel dealt with a small problem with the sink very quickly and efficiently. Air-con good. Room smaller than average but perfectly adequate. Breakfast OK. Would definitely stay here again.

Erm, a faster lift! Didn't dislike anything, great little hotel.

Staff were excellent, Room was Clean and Tidy and in good overall condition. Bathroom was good although the style of room would of been better if there was a door for the Bathroom for privacy. Location very good as close to Both Railway Stations and Local Amenities. So very good for nipping in and out as required. Breakfast was Good. All very good and staff were friendly and efficient.

Lack of Door into Bathroom, Coffee Pod Machine in room was good but no milk available to add to coffee, as I do not drink black coffee.

Location. It was puring with rain as we got off the train at Lille Flandres and we were in the hotel without getting soaked, it being straight across the road outside. The hotel kept our baggage from 11am to 4pm after checkout.

We knew it would be a small room but was well designed so not a problem. The lift was small and rickety but got us there.

The toiletries were amazing, the breakfast was nice and it was a good price. The location is perfect if visiting by train. There are also several places nearby for lunch and dinner. Also a big thanks to the staff that were really friendly!

The room was a little small for the 4 of us, and the corridors are tight if traveling with big luggage.

Excellent location, clean & modern. Train station directly across the road allowed us to reach it from Brussels & also visit Paris.

The rooms are small & the toilet is when you enter the door to the bedroom not a seperate room which is a bit strange.
