Excellent location, very close to the Eurostar station and also the central Lille station, as well as walking distance to the main city centre and attractioins.

The noise from the rooftop bar up until midnight some nights and later on Friday/Saturday meant we couldn't get to sleep until they had turned it off as you could hear it even with the window closed. If we had been in a room on the other side of the hotel, that would probably have been quieter. Breakfast was expensive - we hadn't booked a room including breakfast so paid each day, but the price did seem quite high, although there was a lot of choice if you wanted to eat a lot!

We loved this quirky hotel with its fun decor. The room was simple but had everything we needed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower had great pressure, and the wifi worked perfectly throughout the property. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although there was a DJ playing in the restaurant later that night, we heard no noise from our second-floor room. The bar and restaurant were great for unwinding, and while the food was good, service was occasionally slow. Breakfast was extensive and delicious, though a bit pricey. Overall, a great stay! Would definitely recommend.

It was noisy on Saturday night. There was a petty on the sixth floor (roof area). I was staying on the fifth floor. I prevented sleep.

breakfast buffet was exceptional - huge variety, good quality. parking charge is good value and free EV charging if you can get it staff were very nice - and contacted me immediately after finding something I'd left in the room. beds were great.

noise from the bar - there should be adequate sound proofing - the car turns into a club night on the weekend - would not reccommend 1st floor rooms again. its a very warm building - room is very warm - too warm for sleeping and too noisy to open a window assuming I could shower water was cold around 9am on Saturday morning - no matter what I did - couldn't get it warm let alone hot - it was fine the night before.

Our stay was really enjoyable! The hotel is beautifully and uniquely decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic—delicious and carefully prepared. The staff was kind and accommodating, and we could storage our bags after checking out while exploring Lille some more.

there was a bit of a mix-up. We informed them in advance that we’d be arriving late and asked if we could have dinner at the hotel. They assured us it wouldn’t be a problem, but when we got there, the restaurant was fully booked, and there was no space for us. Luckily, we were able to order pizzas to our room, so it all worked out in the end.

Staff was warm welcoming and super helpful. The place was incredibly clean and comfy. We really appreciate the atmosphere and the design.

The parking. We were actually not able to access our car the whole weekend as another client of the hôtel blocked us. The staff was not able to identify who the car belongs to but did their best and we weren't charged with parking fees. But the parking should be managed a bit better especially there should be a record of clients who have their car parked to avoid these situations.

Modern chic, right next to the train station and quick walk from the old center. Friendly staff.

It would have been nice to have a shelf to put out cloths on. Not just hangers. The wall in the shower behind the toilet obviously suffered a leak and should be fixed. We wanted to have a drink at the restaurant but no one came to serve us and the application to order online didn’t work. We gave up and left.

Mama Shelter is a great hotel near the city centre and a great shopping centre. It is easy to get to and the parking is convenient. Rooms are good size, not much noise and the buffet breakfast was a delight. Plenty of options (great for a gluten allergy) and for a long time which suited our times. We had a great view of the city and wonderful sunsets. We also enjoyed free films and a great comfortable bed.

We struggled to find the parking entrance (I had to call reception to find out which gate I had to use) as the hotel photos and information were not clear at all. The hotel parking can be found on the right hand-side of the building when you access the plaza through the street called Pl. Saint Hubert, however, there are limited spaces. We were lucky as we arrived early and could park but they fenced the entrance once it was full. It will be great if they had a gate to close the parking as well as we were worried who could access it and you pay quite a bit of money for it. The hotel is in a plaza with bars and other restaurants, therefore anybody can access it without supervision.

Mama Shelter Lille made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and spotless, with everything we needed. Staff were really helpful and friendly - and were happy to help us in English. We also had excellent breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in ages. We were so cosy and comfortable in our room that we almost didn't want to leave to face the winter elements! Mama Shelter is also close to the Eurostar station and easy to find.

Shower was not as (very!) hot as we like - but might've been a user error.
