We were staying overnight to catch a cruise the next day. The location is very near to the free cruise shuttle and was extremely convenient. It’s also walkable from the main train station (St. Charles). The staff were all very accommodating, polite, ans spoke English. (Much as I’d like to be able to, I don’t think I could manage to check into a hotel in French)

The bathroom was fully functional, but oddly designed. The WC was in its own little room (not with the main vanity and shower), tiny, and had perhaps the smallest sink I’ve ever witnessed in a building. To be clear this was just an inconvenience and not a deal breaker to us, but odd nonetheless. On the upside, the main portion of the bathroom had a larger sink, a shower, AND a separate tub.

Very good location – close to the city center, with a tram stop right in front of the entrance. An interesting part of the city. Good breakfasts, very nice selection of food. The main issue is the small space allocated for breakfasts – all the tables constantly occupied (only small tables - bad for larger families), it was crowded and chaotic. The staff struggled to keep up with replenishing dishes and food. However, this isn't the staff's fault but rather a lack of space. For our family of five, we had two rooms – they were huge and offered good comfort. The bed was on the firmer side, which I personally liked. The rooms looked a bit odd – the toilet and bathroom were housed in a plastic module resembling the design of F1 motorway hotels from the 1990s - good as it reminds young years.

Such a small breakfast area for such a large hotel is surprising.

Lobby staffs are capable of speaking English. They could suport midnight checkin and corporate invoices (include manually edit), in officehourse. I ask the detail in message and they swiftly answered. However, if you already reserve the night and wanna make an edit in bookings, don't forget to confirm with the hotel as when I add more night it looks like the information was not synced. (Btw staffs were supportive and there were no additional charge from prices you saw in booking) Housemaids cant speak English but can understand when we try to ask for additional towel, tissue roll etc. Bed and pillow are so soft both large bed and single bed. Room is spacious and clean as show in picture. No cigarette smell. Croissants and cheese are good. I took coffee here every morning in a week journey and it tastes good. Location is good for tram T2, T3, you can walk to metro and bus.

The hair dryer UX/UI is very weird. It hang to the wall and we has to rotate the heat pipe to turn the device on, but when we dry hair we cannot stick our head to one angle. There are 2 guests but the free water bottle are only 1 bottle a day. The morning breakfast are the same everyday. The credit card I only use to reserve and pay for this hotel through booking got scammed, and from booking's reputation I think it's booking's fault on security rather than hotel's fault. If you wanna book this hotel I would recommended other travel agency service.

The location is excellent. It's right on the tram line of T2 & T3. Massive shopping centre and food court directly behind it. It has everything you need, including the old port close by. The soundproofing was excellent. The double glass on the balcony was great as there was no street noise. They had filtered water available for refilling your water bottle. The staff were lovely and very accomadating. You could leave your luggage at reception. The double bed is actually a double bed, not too singles pushed together and was extremely comfortable. There were new coffee pods left in the room each day as well as fresh towels! The hotel is in a very safe area. We never felt uneasy at any stage. We had a fantastic stay and we will stay here again if we come back to Marseille.

The room is fairly dated and could do with a new carpet, but it was clean. The air-conditioning is old. It kept the room cool but not very cold.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, the location is very central, everything we could reach by foot. Breakfast was also very good, lots of choice & good quality.

The employees working at breakfast buffet & receptionist weren’t friendly.

The rooms were lovely and clean and there were great sliding screens to section off the bed areas. It was nice to have daily house keeping. The property was opposite some good restaurants and a shopping centre.

There were lots of mozzies in the room. Not sure how they got in because we did not open the windows. My kids had numerous bites. We stayed in April and the heating was permanently on and the rooms were uncomfortably hot, especially at night.

The hotel was absolutely perfect for a small family. The triple room was large and there was a curtain to "split" the room so that adults could stay awake for longer than the kid. Breakfast was very good for France! And the staff was really professional and they made us feel welcome during the whole 3-night stay. Also nice that they had activities, colouring kits etc. for kids.

I think the air could have been slightly better inside - the air conditioning worked but somehow I think it could have been even better. Also the "gym" did literally have just the treadmill, rower, a stationary bike. two yoga mats and four 1-kilogram handle weights. So it is not a gym really.

Hotel is beautiful, personel is kind and respectful, the room was comfortable, bed was great to sleep on. There are bus and train station right in the front of a hotel, that was great, because we didn't have to go far to use public transportation. Bathroom had a shower and a bath, fresh towels every day. Had water heater for tea and coffee to prepare in coffee machine. Breakfast was great, with variety of food, everything prepared was tastfull. It was nice.

The balcony had glass walls which could not be moved to side, so you really do not get a lot of fresh air. Well, the glass could be moved, but was blocked. And there was only one chair with a taburet to sit on. We were three and couldn't enjoy on the balcony in the evening. In the bathroom is only one hanger for towels, so we had to leave towels in bath tub, could not hang them. And there was no toilet brush to clean the toilet, so we spent a lot of toilet paper to clean it. Maybe some forks and spoons could be also added, while there is a microwave to use.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and had no issue meeting a few personal requests . The room was large and clean. The bed very comfortable. Tram stop at the front door made geeting around so easy. Supermarket and chemists just minutes away.

Yes it was a bit dated with nautical themes but I could live with that. Unfortunately the beautiful balcony got a bit hot as it was almost completely built in.

Everything was perfect and reception staff was very helpful and attentive. We got a complementary late checkout by Mathieu which was much appreciated since we really needed it. Clean, quiet, beautiful terrasse, abundant breakfast. To sum it up, we were greatly looked after from beginning to the end. I highly recommend the Novotel Suites, thank you for everything.
